Codename Android is a fully open source rom that focuses on speed, usability, and getting every feature that we can get CRAMMED in there .
Our mission is to spread the Open Source Android love to as many people as possible, and get as many people involved as possible. Along with the rom there will be tutorials to get more people involved and learning how to build android step by step.

Install Instructions
Must have Root and Clockwork Recovery installed on phone (Best if its on GB Bootloader Rooted)
From ClockWork Recovery:
1) wipe cache & data/factory resest
2) flash latest CNA ROM (don’t reboot)
3) reboot phone (don’t flash another kernel before this first boot)​
If you are coming from AOSP Team ICSSGS, just flash over and wipe...
**You dont have to flash another kernel as Devil kernel is included in ROM.**

This is CodeNameAndroid, a better AOSP ROM i ever had... Based on CNA itself...

The ROM seems to be amazing but I have two questions :
- The i9000 port will have all the twealks that we can see on the screenshots (battery widget, lockscreen option).
- About the virtual buttons : Can we disable it ?

2. no is a unofficial port, based on completely aosp rom made by Codenameandroid team for nexus s and galaxy nexus

In post 3 it says that is ported for I9000, the OP is not updated yet.

tbalden is one of the maintainers of official htc-doubleshot cm9 device / kernel tree and as such member of TeamDS, and recently started to hack for his HTC One X (endeavoru) as well. Most of you will/might know who mdeejay is, a long-time developer on xda and rootz, who now owns a HOX device too and decided to hack cm9 for this device as well.

Kernel since alpha12 is based on htcdev original source with cherrypicked sweep2wake patch by showp-1984 and updated bt driver. Kernel proved stable so far and deep sleeps very well. defconfig we use contains support for nfs/cifs/tun.

Issues: (we always keep this list up to date!)
- WiFi direct doesnt work
- MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (but workaround added since alpha 8 for hw decoded videos/youtube. Use bsplayer from playstore, almost all videos play with it in correct rotation in hwoverlay)
- No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!)
- You tell

Mostly everything else, including camera/camcorder, airplane mode on-off, USB and Wifi Tethering, Burst shot in Camera
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 9 to your HOX (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Unlock your device and install Clockwork Recovery
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. WIPE
4. Install the ROM
5. Optionally install the Google Addon
6. Download boot.img as well,
7. boot into boot loader (adb reboot bootloader). Use fastboot and ‘fastboot flash boot boot.img’ through usb to have the correct kernel/boot image. Otherwise it won’t work/boot.
8. 'fastboot erase cache' is recommended if you have booting issues

Be aware that if you're not using the kernel provided here, you might have issues with bluetooth reconnection, if the kernel doesnt have updated bt drivers of nvidia kernel 3.1.10.

HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
- Was your problem a hard reboot? Get us the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
- Was your problem a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get the full output.

Does in call volume work? That is a problem with all other CM9 ROM's.

what i like about this rom is the kernel can we use it with other roms or is it specifically with your build? either way many thanks and always nice to have a choice of roms welcome
added five stars as it says basically franco latest kernel with the extra mods. once i finish my current battery testing will be flashing that bad boy kernel to try it out

it is franco based so i would assume so. but anyways having another cm9 to try out is a god send and got nothing but great respect and alot of appreciation for you and the rest of the devs here who brings us these roms

Sweet finally an official (going to be) Cyanogenmod 9. Looking forward to some rock stable, bugless and optimised ROMs.

I hope this ROM will be developed longer than Alpha 3 build.........

Ok, gps fix is great.
no incompatible apps (that should be compatible)
Echo is fixed
My only trouble was the leds did not work for missed calls or new messages.
I've read that it was a problem with using Franco's Kernel.. but then again I haven't had much luch with those leds.
Charging led works though.
Any Ideas?

since every dev has is own Device tree, i'm letting every one who has is own Device tree that has problems on camcord.

Upgrade:
You could upgrade from NexusHD2-JellyBean V1.4a. (Remember to backup first.)
However a fresh install is recommended.
New install:
When doing a fresh install and logging in your Google account, some of your configs (e.g., Wi-Fi) and previously installed apps could be restored from the Internet from Google automatically.
Thus don't play your HD2 too soon after first boot (maybe wait 10 mins).
Then you will have a fast and stable CM 10.1.

Before you install CM9: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)
Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.
Install
Use CWM5 or CWM6.
Warning: Only use this recovery to flash CM9. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone!
Wipe data and cache.
Flash update*.zip.
Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM9 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
Reboot phone.
After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of CM9 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between CM9 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.
NB: Going from a ROM using 2.6 kernel to a 3.0 kernel, a full wipe is recommended though.

sir Acro68 if I were to install this rom must i begin with alpha 1 or can i just install the final version pls do reply it would really be great help and May God The Almighty bless you^^.
