[Q] Sudden increase / decrease in playback of speakers in turbo ui_4 - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed movies and album given by Rizal in xda .....
On slimbean it worked normally.....
But when I flashed it on turbo Ui_4 and play movies on speaker sudden increase in sound occurs and few moments later the sound reduces to less than normal.....
I liked the increased sound ......it really sound good due to clear phase ,normaliser, clear stereo enabled on speakers....
Also new solid explorer doesnt work on this ROM...it says "parsing problem" but it also fine on slimbean ....
I got pro version also.....
Can anyone fix/ explain the problem......

[Q] Any way to make our XPlay louder ona jack (speakers or headphones)

Hi , few hours ago i was testing my XPlay on big home cinema speakers and noticed that audio output level is realy low.
I went to my friend and compared it with Motorola Atrix 4g and it is twice louder than my XP, i remember that on stock rom without all that Xperia S Goodies (stock player , stock audio effects etc ) it was loud same as my friends Atrix.
Atm im using NXT Rom 1.3 (only rome that dont have issue with XLoud, other roms plays sounds louder on speakers with this option turned off )
btw Xloud affects only build in speakers
Kernel Lupus v5 GB, my questions is , what i can do to make my play play as loud as on stock .
I testet all equalizers in market or almost every one and few players and saddly no difference i think its some audioeffectserver.apk issue or maybe other audio related apk in system. Only volume boost i noticed after I installed beats audio from market.
Sorry for my English im trying hard to write proper.
Weird, I'm using NXT 1.3 with LuPuS v5 as well, and my headphone volume is the same as stock
im comparing to stock from sony service , 3 days ago i get it from service after my touch screen broke (btw they have changed top of slider , screen, touchpanel, body, tapes and even the triger buttons )
i dont want to tell any stupid things but it was some strange number not 2.3.4 i think it was 2.3.5 or 6 (if they even exist ). I just reflashed it to NXT and then BooM where all the sound go ! ?
But belive me it is not loud as it can be its just the half of power u can get from this phone.

[Q] Cyanogenmod DSP Manager Problem

I have Cyanogenmod 10.1, which is android version 4.2.1 on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 3 (SPH-L710). When DSP manager is enabled, mainly Bass Boost, it causes a lot of distortion and it is impossible to listen to music with it enabled. When I had Cyanogenmod 10.0 I had this same issue. I was on the original gs3 rom before flashing CM and was wondering why it is doing this and if it will get fixed or if there is a solution. When listening to songs with Bass Boost at Extreme and the Equalizer enabled at R&B which is my main settings it distorts. I have gotten it to work perfectly for some periods of time, but it reverts back to the distortion. Any help would be appreciated!

This simply isn't the issue. I've had my DPS on my HTC One X work perfectly 2 play-throughs on a song, then on the 3rd play through it became muddled on Moderate Bass settings with Strongest Comp + Rock EQ. I reset the phone and it was even worse and I had to turn Bass Boost off entirely, and it hasn't worked right since.
I'm using Shure 535's which outclass ****candies by a few hundred dollars. I'm still looking for an explanation OP.
I have the same problem on my verizon gs3. Any aosp rom pretty much has the bass problem. The only temp solution i found was to have 2 music player apps. Play music from one and while its still playing hit the home button and open the other player app and play any song. The bass should not be distorted for about 2 songs lol. Its annoying, but the only solution i found for it.

Which kernel are you using, and does it have it's own sound ajustmants? Cause if you are using for example a kernel like boeffla with boeffla sound enabled.. you can have the distortion when using dsp also..
Recommend Turning one of. . I myself used only boeffla sound

Try Bass Booster Pro. It's much better than DSP.

I ran into the same problem. On my Samsung Galaxy S2 (on cyanogenmod of course) bass boost via DSP manager never worked, the sound was always distorted. On my Galaxy S3 suddenly bass boost was working flawlessy with the very same headphones I used on my S2. Then when I switched to the S4 it stopped working again. Since I was getting used to the bass boost I started investigating the issue and found a solution.
LPA (low power audio) is causing the distortion. For some reason lpa was never enabled on my S3, this is why it was working there. In order to disable lpa in CM you just need to edit the build.prop file and change lpa.decode to false. One reboot and everything should work again.
I realise this post is way old but for the first time ever I can actually use DSP manager in CM roms.
Thank you so much!
Thank you mate! You saved my life!

Sound problem

Hi everyone before I got my mob rooted I used to listen music without and with earphones and it was all good but later I installed cm 10.1 and my sound quality became bad I thought that it was because of low battery but when I charged to 94 PC it was the same whenever I listen to songs its quite loud but the voice cracks terrible I also tried devil and NEAK Kernel for any advantage and also tried xloud and clearaudio+ any solutions?
And can it be a problem of an app?

[Q] Lollipop: Problem playing HE-AAC audio through Bluetooth

Hello folks,
it's been quite a long time that I've been here. That may be because I was quite happy with my phone during the last year.
However, with Sony's Lollipop update for my Z1c, I ran into a really annoying problem.
Nearly my complete collection of audio CDs has been ripped to HE-AAC files. It was never a problem to play them on my mobile phone, not with my Z1c and not with my prior phone Acro S. For quite a long time, I'm using Bluetooth to transmit the audio to my car's audio system, to some headphones and to a small battery-driven desktop speaker.
Since the Lollipop update, all HE-AAC audio played via Bluetooth becomes distorted and is very ugly to hear. It works fine when played through the phone's own speaker. All other files (I have) are played fine also via Bluetooth - including regular AAC, mp3 and so on. The problem appears with the Walkman app as well as with Google Music. It is not present when playing with VLC (which apparently has its own decoder).
I have attached a sample file to this post so that you can hear what I mean. I've also attached one AAC file resulting in this distortion. (Please respect the copyright of this song and just use it for this research only and delete it afterwards!)
Sony's support says that I should reflash (aka repair) my phone's OS. However, I guess that the problem is not limited to my phone. Has anybody of you heart of such a problem or maybe experienced it yourself? Could anyone be so kind to check if it happens with your phone, too (Sony OS and maybe Cyanogen or likewise, too)?
Regards, Mattes
I have the same audio issue as everyone else. I have the Sony Xperia Z1 - It seems that when I have the equalizer and sound effects activated the sound gets distorted after a while. So, the only solution for now is to disable equalizer and sound effect off. It all started after the lollipop update. It has nothing to do with earphones or headphones as I have tried multiple from Bose, Sony, Creative Labs and others and the sound is distorted on all of them.
Edit: It's working well with dolby patch
That actually seems very similar to the issue I kept having with my Z1 Compact and when in a call via bluetooth connected to my car... it would get super distorted every few minutes and made the call impossible to hear. Music did play fine, but would skip every so often. Going to try disabling all that audio stuff and hope it works!
