How do i find those kernel modules i need ?
Hello athulele,
Thank you. Actually, I think your reply helped me to solve this Airplane Mode stuck issue with my HTC One X. After reading your reply, I search for stock kernel modules for my CID of HTC One X and flashed it. Then, restored stock Nandroid Backup of ICS. Then, rebooted the mobile. After the first reboot, the issue was NOT solved. Without doing anything, I just pressed and hold power button until I get those 3 options with restart option in them. Then, selected restart and restarted the mobile. Then, it worked.
I have posted my full experience with this issue over here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41748424#post41748424
Hope, it will help someone.
Regards,
Harish

Which kernel do you use? if this is custom kernel, put zip file to sdcard and go to recovery, then install kernel.zip from sdcard.

Make sure your that your HBOOT is 1.31 or greater
Check if you CID is supported, visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1957376 for updates. Cheers Mike
Unlock your bootloader via HTCDev and install a custom recovery.
Download the ROM and place it on your virtual SD card.
Do a nandroid backup!
Extract boot.img from ROM zip and flash it using ‘fastboot flash boot boot.img’.
Use 'fastboot erase cache' to avoid boot issues.
Go into recovery and install the ROM.
Please choose fullwipe if you are asked, highly recommended if you go from one rom from another rom.
Reboot the device and enjoy!

why you don't ask in related thread? like the viperX thread? they can help you better....but what are you want to say us? that you don't have with viperX rom signal but with stock rom`? or what do you want to say us...
Odp: ViperX rom small issue, help !
During the installation it's asking If you are using custom kernel, just pick no and you should have signal ( if you pick yes it won't flash kernel modules, therefore no gsm/WiFi)

Yeah that one is still missing in action ! You can go here

And download the matching nandroid backup. Flash the boot.img from it, make a full wipe in the recovery and restore the nandroid

just checked my link works fine....why doesn't mass storage work, do you get an error ?
flash this one if you havent got this version

then navigate to mounts & storage - mounst as usb device (last option in the list)
sorry for the big time noob question but where do you find the boot.img how do you flash the boot.img

so mass storage works ?
you have to unpack the nandroid backup to the right folder on the sdcard (its in the OP of the link i sent you) then unfold the folders and check in the files of the nandroid backup. the boot.img is in there
Yeah i just put on TWRP instead of CWM. What are the commands to flash boot.img?
Well it depends on the nandroid backup if you need twrp or cwm !
Of the nandroid backup contains a boot.img file you need cwm, if it has a boot.emmc.won file you need twrp recovery !
Fasboot flash boot boot.img
or
Fastboot flash boot boot.emmc.win
Thanks for all of your help I ended up just throwing on Android Revolution HD and sticking with TWRP recovery. I guess CWM doesn't like my phone for some reason.
Ow oke !

hey,
been tring to solve this one by my own for the last two days but with no luck
i used to run the ViperX 2.7.1 and recently decided it's time to update to 3.4.3 with JB
in order to do that i had to upgrade Hboot and the highest one for my CID: VODAP102 is 1.36 version
foolishly :crying: i haven't revert back to stock rom before doing that and while the firmeware updated the phone never gets past the logo screen, no matter what i tried: reinstalling ViperX, wiping everything and installing CM10.1, tried a nandroid restore that is compatible with my main-ver. and so on, (been thru alot of the forum pages)
the only thing i havn't tried is RUU restore but i am not sure on the proccess and dont want to brick the phone. or i'm doing things incorrectly
on the other hand i am able to lock\unlock the bootloader and recovery works as well
i understand downgrading Hboot is not an option and so i am looking for help desperatly
info:
CID: vodap102
main-ver: 3.14.161.27
radio: 5.1204.164D.30
Hboot: 1.36
recovery: CWM
Oke do this ....
Flash the boot.img from the 3.4.0 viper rom. The 3.4.3 full rom does not boot due to a small mistake somewhere.
Make a full wipe in the recovery and install the viper x 3.4.0 rom ...... that will do it.

using 3.4.0 boot.img with 3.4.3 rom or to install the 3.4.0 on the sd-card?
Use the 3.4.0 boot.img AND use the 3.4.0 full rom. Download it from the OP ofthe viper thread. Copy it to the phone from inside the custom recovery. It has a option in there to mount the sdcard as a usb mass storage device !!!

Hi guys,
I got a HOX with CID VODAP102.
Using HBOOT 0.94.0000 and main version 1.28.161.9
Radio uknown ('none' says bootloader)
I want to update to JB, specifically CM10.1.
But i need to update my HBOOT, though can't seem to figure out how with my CID...
How would i go about this? The threads i found are either inconclusive or with different versions.
Oh yeah, this didn't work because of the CID thing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1924003
edit; just noticed, i already did the fastboot flash boot boot.img. So now i have a boot.img with an older version of the CM software. Which appearantly does not boot.
Thanks, Ice

Rooted and unlocked. Been running CM10 for a while (beta's).
Device is still S-on though; but thats for all HOX's i think?
yeah, however to update your HBOOT you need to download the right firmware package for your CID here
Code:
# adb reboot bootloader
# fastboot oem lock
# fastboot oem rebootRUU
# fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
# fastboot reboot
now you need to unlock it again and flash a custom recovery... and that's it, flash whatever you want now
well that did it! at least; the phone boots again.
rebooted to bootloader and that now says hboot 1.36 which probably means i can update to 10.1.
just to be sure; i need to install CWM again, copy the boot.img and flash cm10.1?
ill try that tonight. just glad i can be reached again.. need the phone for work
Thanks!
edit; oh and unlock the bootloader again. Or is that not necessary since i should already have root access?

I will opt for go back to stock. Just I have two questions.
1. Which recovery.img should I choose? 1.26-1.29?
2. What do I have to be on mind to choose the Nandroid Stock? I have found these three on another website, and I don't know if there is any difference, basically the features in bold are what I don't understand!

- Nandroid Rom Vodafone España 1.29 VODAP304
- Nandroid Rom Vodafone España VODAP304 [version firmware 2.17, banda base 2.1204, hboot 1.12 ROOT]

dont use any of those, you're best option is to go completely stock by using an ruu from the link I will post at the end for you. when you go to the page the ruu that you want is the 7th from the bottom, it will be version 1.28.161.9 and should be 609MB. start downloading it then there are some other things that you need to do in the meantime>>>>>http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Endeavor make sure it matches exactly the version I have stated
Every time i reboot phone i get stuck in bootloop , i have to wipe cache and dalvik cache to fix this . Fixed permissions in recovery, reflashed ROM , the problem still persists. Changed ROM . the problem is still there. I was using the same ROM before , didn't have this problem before , appeared out of nowhere.
Using Insertcoin ROM currently , ElementalX kernel.
Please help.
Anyone?
Did you attempt a factory reset while running a non-stock recovery?
If so, you need to put the stock recovery back on, let it complete the reset, then put your desired recovery back. This is true even if you are using a non-stock ROM.

i guess there is a firmware mismatch.
This is originally a t-mobile version of M8 but it is sim-unlocked and i flash international version of any rom i flash. I also have no GPS Lock problem (might get fixed because of firmware? Tried everything FasterGPS, GPS status and Toolbox, no fix)
Being S-ON, i want to upgrade the firmware. How can i do that?
Can you explain to me in steps.
I've searched and have gotten really confused in these things like -
What RUU should i download (t-mobile or international?) and in what order should i do steps like relocking bootloader and stock recovery.
Need the solution in proper steps.
Thank you.

Firmware mismatch is your problem, as indicated by your radio number and OS number (on bootloader screen) which both correspond to Kitkat (Android 4.4.4).

You need to use the T-Mobile US RUU (available here).
You can only run an RUU that matches your phone's carrier ID (CID) and model ID (MID), which in your case correspond to T-Mobile US. CID and MID can only be changed with s-off (have nothing to do with the ROM your flash).
What you want to do is:
1) Backup any personal data you want to keep (RUU will wipe the phone, including internal storage).
2) Relock the bootloader with command: fastboot oem lock
3) Connect phone to PC and run the RUU (its very self explanatory, just follow the prompts). Your firmware is not updated, and you are on the stock T-MOB Lollipop ROM, and stock recovery.
4) To get back to InsertCoin, unlock the bootloader again using the HTCDev.com website.
5) Flash current version TWRP in fastboot.
6) Flash InsertCoin.
