I have searched for answers over this however returned nothing. I have recently acquired the phone. Rooted now of course.
The issue I'm having is every time I try to select an application to access using a quick command, it fails and says its had to close.
Does anyone know of any issues with this and how to fix it. I'm hoping it isn't anything I've installed causing this. If anyone knows if an app can cause this, can you please let me know so I can check it.
Thanks in advance.
Try gmd spen control app.

Could someone tell me how to take a screenshot please? search yielded little and old results. i am using MIUI, and not sure if it changes among ROMS, or is always the same method. I'm trying to get a pic of something that keeps popping up asking me to deny or allow when i get an SMS, and need to find the root cause of it. any help would be greatly appreciated...

Download logcat from the market. Or download something drocap that takes screenshots. Search the market. Miui does that though. Hit always allow next time it comes up and it wont come up anymore.

If you're on MIUI, just press menu and volume down to take a screenshot.
thanks fella's. but i have repeatedly hit allow, and it keeps coming up. not until recently has the "deny" or "allow" pop up been happening. and I've always had the latest MIUI...strange.
oh yeah, also, how do i retrieve the shot? gallery, or what?
nvm, i found it. thanks for the help..

I second this, good app.
Also go to the market and download SuperUser and delete the default one in MIUI, that one has issues.
which miui version are you using, I use the miui.us 1.6 and when pressing vol down and menu I hear the camera snap a pic. The pic is stored in the miui folder not in camera shots.
Here is the problem.. My keyboard conects just fine on my phone in webtop.. my keys are an issue though. When I'm using say firefox and I need to do the @ sign it will only display 2 this happens with everything.. now if I go to mobile view while on webtop to say respond to a text message my keboard Shift + 2 = @ etc. It works on the phone but not webtop very weird. I am running cherryblur 1.4 with webtop v1 though I don't have the terminal and all I guess I need to go back and fix that. Until then though I'd like to at least be able to do simple browsing on webtop. Can someone help me with this issue please? Maybe your having the same issue or there is a simple option that I never turned on? Thanks!

OK nobody seems to want to help... I have an idea and have been looking around.. what if I found a Linux driver for it.. and manually added it.. since android is basically Linux I would think it will work. However I don't know how to add the driver. Any help please?

I would try to Google the keyboard model and Ubuntu to see if you can find anything related to using that particular keyboard in Ubuntu. You might find something that may help getting to work in webtop since it a modified version of Ubuntu. That's how I figured out how to use my Apple BT keyboard with webtop. There was a shortcut sequence that had to be typed in order for it to work in Ububtu. It also worked for me in webtop.

Until you can get this resolved programatically, have you tried copying "@" from the phone piece and pasting it on the webtop? I don't have any of the docks, so I am just guessing at a solution for you.
Good luck, regardless.

are you using a custom rom? will try to test it with mine if the Talk Back feature still turns on by itself. btw i am running ARHD rom.
update: it seems i can't find the google book app on my marketplace.
So when I go to this Site. http://m.nfl.com/ I can't open any links. Unless I hold on a link and hit open in new tab. Same goes with the nfl fantasy app. My buddies evo lte opens them up just fine.
I tried numerous browsers and they are all the same.
Anyone know of a way to fix this?

I am experiencing the same problem on nfl.com. All of the other sites I tried worked fine. I was able to jump from site to site as long as it was not the nfl site. I don't know if this helps or not, but that was my experience.

Hmm. Same issue I'm experiencing. I only have the issues on the mobile nfl. Com Site and their fantasy app. I tried it on other phones like the I phone and evo lte and they have no issues.
I wonder what is causing this?

That is really odd. Let me know if you manage to figure anything out.
I've tried everything. Can't figure out what is causing the issue.

Dont know if this is of any help but I was having issues clicking on the links within the fantasy app(NFL) turned out it was my ad blocker(adfree) I reverted and whala! the NFL fantasy app links worked however app was very laggy. Hopefully this helps if not then disregard I guess!
Exactly the same issue here (found this thread via searching on Google), links won't work on nfl.com unless i long press and select open in a new tab. The only solution that I've found is to disable java script in the browser settings on my S2 and then it works fine.
I'd be interested to know if I can set it just so that java script is disabled on just nfl.com if anyone knows how
I have tried both and came up with the same problem. I've tried messing around with the settings to try and get it working correctly with no results

That's what it was?! Damn! That's been driving me nuts! I'm using AdAway but the effect was the same in Dolphin.
Thanks for posting your solution! :highfive:
Is there anyway to disable S-Voice?
Looked in settings and I can't find anything.
S-Voice seems to have a mind of it's own.
It starts by itself and it can be quite disturbing in the wrong setting.
I am not rooted and don't feel confident enough to root.
Thanks,

Its classed as a system app, so there is no way to uninstall it if you havent rooted. You can use apps such as titanium backup to do so if you have rooted though.
If not, you should be able to find it in settings > application manager > all > s voice > disable
I uninstalled it so cant confirm it that second option i suggested will work.
I disabled it in app manager like heartsjonmon says above. I haven't seen it since, thank God. I used to accidently hit the home button through the cover and set it off while I was carrying it. I am so glad that annoyance is gone! What was Samsung thinking!?!

Actually looking back at my posts it looks like I just unchecked everything in the s Voice menu and that alone seems to be enough. I can't even find the app in my app manager. If you look at my posts, you will find two other suggestions that other people made top disable it too which should also work.
