PLEASE HELP
Hello sir.
First, use this script to charge your battery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658084 Half an hour should be enough to remove the bettery warning.
Secondly, unlock your bootloader: fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
Then go ahead and flash a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP: fastboot flash recovery [name of file].img
and: fastboot erase cache
Then DL a rom of your choice and extract the boot.img from it, then flash it: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then go to recovery > mounts and storage > mount usb storage
Copy the ROM.zip over
Make wipe data /factory reset
Flash the rom
Reboot
I Did everything as you said but when i mount usb storage it says unable to open ums lunfile.
Please Help
DL this: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img

I think you have to reflash the stock rom, or with a nandroid backup or with a ruu.

Flashing the recovery or the boot.img will not help, something is damaged in the rom...
You have to flash a ruu or a nandroid to get the phone back to 100% stock !
Hopefully you are storing precious data on the cloud ?
What's on the sdcard could be saved, if you flash back the custom recovery you can mount the sdcard as a diskdrive and get copy the data over to pc !
A ruu puts the phone back to its original (full wiped) state

Hmm you have 2 options
Or find the matching ruu on htcruu.com or on the file factory
Or find a matching nandroid backup from the nandroid backup collection thread in the general section !

Put the phone in fastboot USB menu and relock the bootloader again
Fastboot oem lock
Run the ruu.exe from pc with admin rights !
This should put the phone back to its original state
I've done everything to perfection the phone works now, Thank you very much

Lo all!
My HTC One X is stuck in a reboot loop after trying to root today.
I unlocked the bootloader through the HTC site with no issues, and I tried to root using the "insecurebootandroot" method. I still have access to the bootloader/fastboot where it says *unlocked*. I've tried performing a factory reset from here but that has not made a diffference.
Any help appreciated!

Thanks for the replies guys.
The guide I followed is below:

I think I have already tried the fastboot erase cache command.
I have had to insert spaces into the link as I am not allowed to post them yet

Here's the deal: the guide you followed was super old and the 2.17 update of your phone has broken the compatibility to the insecureboot root method.
You need your stock boot.img back in order to recover.
Acquire the stock boot.img with the following steps:
Dowbload the appropriate nandroid backup from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
If you can't find the exact same version as yours, any 2.17 should do.
Extract boot.img from the downloaded backup and place it in your fastboot folder. Flash it by typing:
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Followed by
"fastboot erase cache"
Then your phone should boot up just fine.
Sent from my One X
Its there, the exact nandroid you need
Apologies for the slow reply. Yeah I just the correct boot.img and I was all fixed. Thanks for the help.
Now, to the rooting:
Download the clockworkmod recovery here:
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
And place it in fastboot folder.
Then flash by typing: fastboot flash recovery filename.zip
And
Fastboot erase cache.
Then download supersu here:
http://download.chainfire.eu/298/SuperSU/CWM-SuperSU-v0.99.zip
Place it on your sd.
Flash in recovery with the install zip from sdcard option.

PERFORM A FULL BACKUP USING CLOCKWORKMOD!
- And then keep it safe, should you ever need it!
firstly I searched for this and was unable to find it bizarrely (most likely cause I suck at searching forums) anyhow :
I have a HTC one X CID : HTC_023
HBOOT is : 0.95.0000
currently running android revolution HD 9.4.0
I bought this phone secondhand and its awesome but I would love to update to revolution 18.1 JB and am not sure exactly how to do it. I have read this here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32855238&postcount=29798 but that is to go from a stock rom to revolution, is it as simple as just :
2) Make sure you have your Unlock_code.bin file.
Relock your device using fastboot: fastboot oem lock
Enter OEM flash mode using fastboot: fastboot oem rebootRUU
On your phone you will see a black screen with silver HTC written in the middle
Flash firmware: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
(You need to do this immediately twice)
When you see a full green bar below, you are done.
I am fearful of screwing up my phone so I thought I had better ask here and FTR as I didn't install the rom in the first place I don't have the Unlock_code.bin file. I have the revolution 18.1 rom downloaded. Also if I do this will I need to reinstall all my apps or can I do it and maintain all my current apps and settings? If I must reinstall all my apps I am sure I can find a forum thread here somewhere stepping me through that process.
any help will be appreciated and please - don't flame me too hard for being a n00b and/or asking something that has already been asked I couldn't find it - sorry in advance
You can take the Unlock_code.bin from htcdev, follow the steps and you are done.
However, when you go to flash ARHD, you lost all your apps and data (don't the sd) and you have to download it
Don't worry, HTC have made it so that it's almost impossible to screw up your phone
welp its screwed stuck at white htc o1e screen - thanks for the help greatly appreciated :crying:
Re: [Q] htc one x revolution HD 9.40 -> rev 18.1
Did you flash the boot.img for arhd18 after installing it.
What point in the process did you get stuck at.
Relock - fastboot oem lock
Ruu mode - fastboot oem rebootRUU
Flash firmware - fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Flash firmware again.
Reboot into fastboot
Unlock - fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin
Flash recovery - fastboot flash recovery name of recovery.IMG
Flash boot.img of new ROM - fastboot flash boot boot.img
Boot into recovery
Copy new ROM and install

Hi, this is my first post, and I have a problem with bricked HOX.
I tried to put custom ROM, ViperX, with CWM (previously I unlocked bootloader and flashed with custom CWM recovery.img). After installation, I flashed with boot.img, but I couldn't boot. Now I have bricked, unlocked, HOX. I tried to unbrick with ruu, but ruu warned that my bootloader version is not good for ruu.
So how can I unbrick my HOX, is there ruu version for my HOX (and is there any way to unbrick it at all?)?
My HOX's specs:
CID: HTC__032
version-main: 3.20.401.3
HBOOT-1.39.0000
RADIO-5.1204.162A.29
Please help, and sorry for my bad English. I hope you understood
I think its not bricked.
Do this :
Flash the Viper X boot.img :
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Enter the recovery and do this :
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts and storage - format cache, data, system
Then install the viper X rom.zip and reboot

I did, many times, but nothing worked -- after every reboot HOX stayed in boot loop and only thing I could was boot into bootloader mode and recovery.
Then you must have missed a step somewhere .....
