I can not get the phone to boot, when i hold down the power button the LG logo flashes then the screen goes dark but its still on.I can get it into download mode but i cant find the KDZ files for it. any help would be greatly appreciated!
You soft-bricked it. Since you can into Dow load mode, you can recover from it. See the "how to unbrick" thread for details.

will it work ??
Yeah. I've unbricked my phone twice now using the download mode/kdz method. And once using the hard factory reset method.

how to hard reset optimus G e975 indian version..
You can use LG Mobile Support tool to repair phone, after download select menu Customer Support > Recovery Phone.
This solution is valid as long as your pc detects the phone.
I also fixed it one time ,after some system apps updates. It took me over 2 hrs to complete the job,but after that i got a brand new, clean phone.
To hard reset, turn off the phone, then,at the same time, press volume down + power button.wait untile the hard reset menu appears. To confirm hard reset, press power button, to cancel press another key.
A nice thread on how to unbrick your G is here :

A little help please? I can root ZV9 and ZVB but continue to have issues with installing a customer recovery. I get the bootloop on the LG logo. I can always get into download mode and fix it back to stock but no further than that. I must be missing something. Steps are as follows
1. Root my LGOG with fiddy619's ZV9 AND ZVB/JB Root zip. SuperSU and root checker say all is good
2. protect root with Voodoo OTA root keeper
3. Instal and run FreeGee from the play store (latest version 0.6.0.1). FreeGee congratulates me.
4. Install custom recovery and close FreeGee
5. Open up GooManager and update to newest TWRP 2.4.3.0
6. reboot to recovery (tried several methods, manual, reboot recovery from GooManager, QuickBoot)
7. cross all appendages and pray
8. LG bootloop
I can get back into download mode and fix it with LGNPST and rescue my phone to ZV9. So for me... root is easy just no recovery. Can TWRP be flashed from the stock recovery if I place the flashable TWRP zip in my cache folder?
Have you tried to LGNPST back to ZV7 then use the aio tool. It worked great for me.

I've used that I believe. I think that's what I used to recover from my bootloops. Then when I root that (I've tried several reboots with stock recovery and all is well), I get the bootloop after FreeGee and customer recovery even on ZV9

Putting it in dowload mode is a little tricky. After drivers installed and software installed on PC, make sure phone is off! Had to hold volume key down at same time as power button and connect usb that is connected to computer. When phone boots to LG let go of power button only. Something like that.

I cant get passed thw lgnpst set up. When I performed the install prompt from the 'install.bat' file, it goes through the driver set up and stuff, it tells me to press any button the continue because its finished, yet nothing happened....
If I remember right I also had trouble with the bat file but I think you can manually move the files you need as the bat file just loads the DLL files. Wish I remembered more but its been a month or 2 since I did it. Also my laptop went down that has all the files I used. It will work if you keep at it..I got my old laptop to work with another charger so I'll try to find the files you need tonight when I get home from work.

So I bought an LG Optimus G last week, attempted to root and flash a rom but missed a step and now it's bricked. I can get it into download mode and I have the LG FlashTool as well as the .dll and .tot The only issue is it says I have the phone model lg-e971 so it gives me a FAIL. From what I've read its because I already have the zvc.tot on it so I have to revert back to the zvb.tot and then back to the zvc.tot correct?? If so, where do I find the zvb.tot to flash on there. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. If anyone happens to have a link to that .tot or can upload it for me that'd be much appreciated.

The .tot is the same as the .bin. Just use the dll that came with Flashtool. The bin is in the root guide.

E971 is the Canadian version of the OG. You or someone tried to install a Canadian ROM. The DLL you have is for the Sprint version. That's why you have the conflict.

OK. Just checking.
Have you tried to get into recovery? If/ when you do, you'll probably need to do a factory reset.
Also, instead of the bin file, you may be able to use teeny bin.
And you shouldn't need to go back to zvb.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It won't let me get into recovery, it'll only let me do the usb mode when I plug the usb in. otherwise it just shows the lg screen for half a second and then goes black till it kills my battery. If I hold down the power button for a few seconds and let go, it turns off but then boots back up and does it all over again.
Awesome!!!!!! Downloaded LGNPST and set it up (it was somewhat tricky like they said) but once I got it down I know what to do. Anyway I flashed the teenybin file to have the bootloader unlocked and custom recovery and I was able to reformat everything. Thanks a bunch. Maybe this thread will be of help to someone else along the way.

No worries.
So you used Framaroot to get root and now your stick in Secure ??? Bootloop, right?
If that's the case, then yes, you have to use either LGNPST or LGFlashtool. Flashtool has is own thread and LGNPST info is in the teeny bin thread under "Additional info.
Also there is a sticky in Development that'll help you reroot and unlock your phone.
Edit. Once you are rooted and unlocked then you'll need to install a KK TWRP or CWM. If you use Freegee to unlock, it'll install the needed recovery to flash KK ROMs.

You have stock recovery right now. You can't flash or really do anything with it. To fix your phone, you need to get into download mode.
Go to either or both, teeny bin thread and or LGFlashtool thread and follow those directions.
When your phone is fixed by either of those methods, then you can root and unlock your phone.
Edit. Does your phone boot up at all? It shouldn't if you're getting that message.

So I am using LGNPST to flash my phone back to stock and have like it was out of the box. I am currently on ZVB with no root or unlocked bootloader. I really want to wipe everything clean so I tried to go into the main menu by holding VOL Down and Power. I'm supposed to press enter on the option to wipe which I'm assuming is the power button but nothing happens. I'm honestly not sure what to do. Is there any other way to wipe my internals clean?
Use the LG flash tool, does exactly that. Can be a pain in the ass to set up though. It takes the phone all the way to where is not even activated. Just look around the forums, think engine95 has a link to the thread that has it in one of his guides
