Can't believe my eyes, awesome battery backup - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

:fingers-crossed: So I re charged both of my t889s before I was going to class. White one running on JEDI X12 and the black 1 is just flashed with ZHDMB1, both deodexed and rooted.
The white one with Jedi X12 came to low battery when I reached home after class, I downloaded some apps via WI-FI and texted about two hours on whatsapp
but the black one with ZHDMB1 still has 89% charge after 6hours, in between I played angry birds and played song on my car via bluetooth. Unbelievable because this 1 is the one which gave low battery performance untill I installed this ROM today.
Is there any malfunction on the rom which is not showing my battery draining or it is actually being AWESOME????

Average battery life on EVO rom

Can I get a general idea of run time for use on a full charge running on latest EVO rom (3.0 ?). Trying to figure what's causing my horrible battery run time. I just got one of those non-oem battery with the blue label that says "FOR HT S620/DASH" . I charged it to a hundred percent and left it alone with 3 tasks running but the screen wasn't on. Came back 2-3 hours later the reading said it was 41% base on CeleTask. I didn't check the standard power management reading. So I'm not sure if it's CeleTask malfunctioning. Maybe EVO rom draining it or bad battery? Does the phone go into idle mode if you leave it alone and the screen black out or is it still functioning until you put it into lock mode(idle mode?). Any thoughts on the battery or other causes would be very helpful. Also Wifi wasn't on.
I have an 1100 mAh battery (supposedly), and the charge lasts around 3-4 days of light use.

What tasks did you have running?
I am getting about 3 hours of standby.... also when I have a full charge and I then turn on the media player or wifi I have about 15 minutes of battery before it shuts off. Then after it shuts off and I plug it in and repower it will say I have 35-45% ....really quirky. I was going to flash back to the earlier ROM and I still may but I seen that there will be a new ROM soon with better battery life
I bought one of those $2 replacement batteries from amazon two weeks ago. My original battery would take a huge dump (98% to dead) in the matter of 3 hours if I turned the wifi on for 5 minutes and then turned it back off.
With my new battery I end up with 82% by the end of the day with very very light use.
Light use on 3.00 + Battery cab.
I unplugged at around noon and it is now 12:38A.M.
and my battery is at 68%
I close apps when not in use and it updates weather every 60min Via edge.
With Moderate-heavy use(Texting, and opera) It will get about 10% by 1:30-2A.M.
Talk time is Decent though Went 2 hours and only lost about 10-15% .
\I have noticed a Concerable Drop in life after updating from 2.80 to 3.00
This is Also on the OEM 1100MAH battery(and I'm also using a little Much of a charger..so its screwed my battery)
Better battery life with a replacement
I'd replaced the original battery with an unofficial replacement, since the original was nearly dead (1 days). This one lasts about 3 days with the new EVO 3.0 ROM.
I haven't done any real measurements , but I feel like I have better battery life with respect to the previous versions.
my test:

fwood can you post a link to the battery you bought for the test
http://www.batteryupgrade.it/search.php#/shopGroupId/28243801
surely isn't a amazing batery but..it coast no too much!!

I gave the direct link of the product, but probably it expires when I abandoned the site! you have to find the product "S620" on search box
for me everything is fine I'm using the original battery, 3VO ROM with Arabic for WM6.5, many tasks opened most of time and the battery is just fine and hold for 2 or more days..

[Q]HTC Desire HD Gingerbread Battery Problems[Q]

I don't know what to make of this, I have researched this and there is a mix reaction, some people are saying Gingerbread has made their battery life amazing, others are saying the story is not too good, well unfortunately I am one of them.
I installed my OTA Gingerbread update as normal. Now, I am lucky to get my phone through half a day's charge. I went to the Cinema today. Before going I made sure my battery was 100% charged. I did the phone-on, charge, phone-off, charge, phone-on, charge, phone-off, charge, phone-on method and i'm appalled to say today's usage has been terrible.
Whilst in the Cinema my phone used 40% of it's battery and I didn't use it once. The Mobile Internet was turned on however Wi-Fi and everything else was turned off. I have also noticed that when taking my phone to school, I may send 2-3 texts a day on it but when I get home i'm lucky to have 20% battery remaining.
Is it a problem with Gingerbread or something? I have had this battery for about 2 months and it was only until I updated to Gingerbread that I have noticed these problems. Because of it I did a factory reset yesterday. It's just annoying because Froyo seemed to do a better job...

If it had this problem it would do several things
1-download from market battery calibrator and do it....
2-see in setting the process that are running for to see if there is any thing that its turned on (games, apk´s etc...)some apk´s drains badly the battery because they don´t close their proccess on android....
3-install some apk that says to you what apk´s are running and what´s the reason for the bad battery drain(spare parts for example)

[Q] Investigating a battery drain issue

Hello all,
A few months ago I became a proud owner of a Moto Defy, a great rugged phone that has been working great for me until just last week. For some reason the battery life was cut drastically! So bad that while the screen was off and not touched at all, the battery percentage would go from 100% to 40% in four hours.
what was even worse was when I would connect the charger, the phone would charge completely in less that 1 hour! I didn't seem to matter if I was browsing the web, playing music over the loud speaker, or just leaving it alone, the battery seemed to fall the same.
I began to research online for some answers since I couldn't believe that the battery would just go bad just like that! first I installed a custom recovery that had the option of wiping the battery stats, but that didn't work. then I stumbled across this thread on a battery bug in the android os 2.3.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039696
Even though the os on this defy is 2.2.1 I thought I was on to something. they talked about an app called watchdog. I also found an app called Battery monitor widget, which allowed me to see the battery usage in milli-amps.
I got concerned when during the day, I noticed a spike in the battery usage that was crazy! the app showed where the usage went from 99ma to 2399ma drain and I lost 8% of the battery in that one minuet! Keep in mind that the battery is only rated at 1500mAh to begin with. With that being said, I was thinking I have a short in the phone! The spike happened again later on that brought my phone to it's knees!
while reading further into the thread, I installed watch dog lite. Immediately after the installation finished, I started getting flagged for an app using over 60% of the cpu while the screen was off! Fancy widget 1.3, I had liked this app so much on my old Moto cliq, I imported it over to my defy.
Maybe I have found the culprit, I donno. This is just my experience so far, if anyone can add to this, please do. I will continue to monitor the phone and the activity of the apps. I am still shocked about the battery drain spikes that I saw! I am still, to my knolage, running the stock rom that came with the defy, now with the addition of Clockwork MOD recovery installed.
i have issues too, in the last week my battery dies in 13-14 hours with normal use. before that, it lasted 24-25 hours with heavy use. i also have sudden pattery percentage drops (which is probably the same as yours, that 8% in one minute). i already tried reflashing sbf/cm7, calibrated battery with cwm and app, nothing seems to work. now i disabled boot oc and use setvsel, and installed battery monitor widget and watchdog lite, maybe those will help :S
sent from my cm7 defy...
Since I installed rc1.5 my battery last for a fairly long time. It droped from 100% to 26% in 23 hours with medium use (data connection always active, when I used it heavily I turned on 3g, I used wifi and I was on a sunny place so the screen was bright)
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
many have reported battery drain on rc1.5, seems its not present in every case. just installed 110909 nightly, so cant really report on that yet, but ill do as soon as i can.
Im on CM& RC 1.5, my battery last me a long time (more than 30 hours) using a lot of wifi + edge data, and lots of calls and sms, so i guess i dont have the battery drain bug

Phenominal batt life just from stock ANYONE ELSE?

Took a gamble on this device not Initially liking the sealed batt idea.
Well htc did something right for a change I'm getting 6 am to 11pm battery life on heavy use stock rooted.
Def iphone comparible batt life.
Maybe its a well tweaked kernel
Maybe htc new they had a one shot chance to get it right "being sealed unit"I dunno
But pleased with it for sure,, it doesn't drain in front of your eyes like every other htc device does.
I remember evo would drop 15% after first ten min.. as did most htc phones not the hox
ANYONE ELSE SEEING SAME?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
My One X isn't rooted but I have exactly the same as you.
Today I've played all day with the rom and wifi + IM enabled from 0600am till 1400pm and still I have 50% battery. I'm very satisfied with this result.
Yesterday I was listening to music with my BT stereo headset for about an hour and only 8% battery it took. The musicplayer I use is PlayerPro and I kept the screen on all the time.
Another program that can save a lot of battery if you configure right is Profile Scheduler+
I think it's the choise of apps plus the more you charge the better it gets, because at beginning when I bought my One X I was worried about the battery but now it's ok.
Yes all I know is I charge one of two ways I toggle data off before charging or I charge hox off completely.
Set the screen time out to 15 sec
I believe wifi usage helps also all in all trust me I use both android and iphone not to debate the two but this phone seriousally has same batt life quality
Maybe its hit n miss I don't know
Ill be trying a tweak made for the screen brightness its a zip file that has the brightness framework tweaked which is suppose to even further better the batt life
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
What sort of screen time are you getting, to last from 6am to 11pm I'd only be able to use 1.5 hrs max...that's medium usage for me. 3 hours screen would need charging by 7pm I rekon

i can get 12-13 hours with 3-4 hours screen time.
Wish I could say the same myself, mine drains around 1% a second with the screen on just browsing the internet, thats with a custom rom and kernel and manual brightness
I must of got one with a crap battery xD
well take it easy there
right now I had my device with WiFi on for one hour screen on and 4 hours since charge, still 75% which us great
but let's use Tegra3 or the quads in THD games or Antutu, n it will deplete like crazy
Getting fantastic battery on mine as well here is yesterdays results!
Phone was used as and when needed!
Text messages, facebook, twitter, web browsing and 5 short phone calls! more than happy.
left house at 8am and never got back till after 11pm last night and still had more that 20% left.
3 hours 44 mins screen time could of got to 4 hours plus easy with the last 20%
100% stock not rooted. Auto brightness.
EDIT today so far 7 hours since unplugged 30 + text messages a little web browsing/twitter/facebook 46 mins screen on time 79% still left.
I've been trying Franco's Kernel recently. Prior I was running ARHD 6.0 which is in essence a more efficient stock and I think i was getting battery life than I am now. The battery life really is great. I was getting home with 3hrs 30mins of screen time after being out for over 12 hours and getting home with 30% battery life still. Got the screenies somewhere. Really is a great battery life. So much better than the Desire HD I had before!
This was before my results -
Insertcoin v5.x.x
Eternity Kernel by kholk
Browsing for a solid 3 hour (plus a couple of text and calls) + 1 hour using gameboid and still 12% left to listen to music. Was travelling!

[Q] What's wrong with my battery life?

I'm close to buying a new phone because the battery life on my One X is HORRENDOUS.
I'm on Viper 3.4. Ever since I upgraded from what I think was 2.7, my battery has taken a massive, massive decline in quality. I flashed AOKP and it was terrible, so I went back to sense and it just...wasn't the same. The standby time WITH wifi and autosync on the old Viper had me losing about 1% per hour, sometimes less.
After going to AOKP and then back, it just hasn't been anywhere near as good. And now that I'm on 3.4, it's just ridiculously bad.
This is my battery life from Friday. I woke up at about 8.45 and unplugged my phone soon afterwards. Used it a bit on the way to work at 10, then I checked it every now and then for new messages, and maybe responded. I finished work at 6. At this point I was below 50% despite barely using the phone at all. On the way home, the battery just completely shat itself and dropped to about 18% by 8pm.
Something else odd I noticed, you know when the phone heats up when you're playing games and stuff? After receiving a phone call that I ignored while I was at work, I could feel the phone becoming extremely hot in my pocket (I didn't even take it out!). Why?!

I'm close to going out and buying an Xperia Z. I'm on an international One X, doesn't even have 4G, and the battery is just atrocious now.

Download antutu tester and do a battery test.
A kernel is how ur software interacts with your hardware. flash one and see if it helps u out. I get 12-16 hours battery on normal everyday use with a kernel
