that I can't use wifi hotspot or tethering. The question is, how do i install a new kernel? I've never separately flashed a kernel, where should I start? Arrgghh, would love to really be able to use Barnacle (or equiv.)
USA Tmobile S3
Clear cachy and dalvik than flash via recovery than clear cachy and dalvik again and reboot

I have experienced problems with the mobile network on CM10 and AOKP based ROMs running those ROMs default kernels. The network just drops out and reconnects within a minute. I use an ATT S3. Has there been any solutions found to this? Caches has been cleared, dalvik cache cleared, permissions fixed all in CWM. Thanks!!
Are you running the latest versions of those roms, and have you tried then in the last few (less than 7) days?

Yes it'll work. There are a few different kernels in the development/original development threads that will work with both att and tmo ROMs. Make a backup first just in case something goes wrong and restore it if all else fails.

Sorry about this, I am not allowed to ask on a developers thread. I am running Anakonda 2.0 ICS ff18, I would like to try out RUJELUS JB rom when he is done with it. If I dont like it will i be able to go back to my ics ff18 without any problems?
You are allowed to ask in the QA section where questions belong. Do not double post this in there a mod will move it.
If you are unsure about going back to stock after flashing a ROM, you need to read the stickies.

Read the thread on how to use nandroid. It will help you with backing up your current setup and easily allow you to go back after trying out another rom.

I am on MD7 right now, and was wondering if there was a stock MD4 ROM in the dev forums that someone could point me to, so that I might flash a ROM on top of that.
I tried flashing PA 3.69 just now, and it failed on the get.prop, because my device didn't match.
Any help would be much appreciated.

MD7? Sprint doesn't have a version MD7. There is a stock rooted rom made by billard412 and one by freeza in the dev section.

If he's on MD7 he is on a Boost, Metro or Virgin Mobile device.

Sorry about that. All the forums I was on before had the questions go in General. Will keep this in mind for the future.

I received a notification for a system update today unexpectedly since I'm not on a stock ROM but was wondering if it would cause problems if I updated. I assume it's the new 4.1.2 update. I'm on Stockorama 2.0 with a stock kernel (I would have asked in that thread but it's basically dead).
