Are you still on a tw based rom, or cm/aokp?
I don't believe the stock app works without the tw framework.

I think you need to change permission to rw-r-r then fix permissions. Make sure you change the name of the messaging app too

check the original mms name, it should be secmms so rename its end to secmms.apk.bak and copy your new one and name it what ever is the old one's name secmms? or just mms? and dont play around with permission if you dont know about it. i have done it and suffered. so let developers tell you when its time to change permissions

I renamed the message app in the rom to mms.apk.bak. Then renamed the stock app to mms.apk. Changed the permissions to rw-rw-r. Fix permission then restart and it should show up.

I'm on AOKP now so I don't remember for sure, but I believe the TW version of MMS was named SecMMS. I could be wrong, hopefully someone still on a TW rom can confirm. That might be why you're getting the FC.

Well the theme you posted a link to replaces the full apk files. In some cases the apks can be firmware specific. And I can promise you Verizon has some hackery going on where replacing your current apks with one from the international ones will mess things up, boot loop, no status bar, etc...
As for the Kalagas theme, it uses VR theme, which when flashing in a nut shell only replaces the images inside of YOUR apk on your phone. It does not replace the full apk like the theme you posted does.
Make sense?

Pretty easily actually. You'd just have to rip apart the aosp theme and use the images and replace them in the kalagas zip.

Hmm. Honestly I'm not sure, never tried it myself. But I vaguely seem to remember reading elsewhere that someone did exactly that and it worked for them. (If I can find a link to the comment in whatever thread I read it in I'll post it.)
But you know how it works around here, do a backup first and then give it a shot. If it works, great and let us all know. If it doesn't, restore your backup and let us all know. : )

4/17 - I've now updated it to a flashable zip, you get the S4 launcher and S4 weather widget
I love AOSP roms for the customizability and I also really like the touchwiz launcher so after many, many trials and errors and having to learn how to use apktool to decompile and build apk's i've modded the touchwiz launcher to work for AOSP roms. I know this isn't anything new since it's been done before, what makes this different is the homescreen is a 4x5 layout and the app drawer is 4x6 with a fully themed S4 Accuweather widget. I know a lot of you use custom launchers and this is not your cup of tea, this is for those who like the look of a stock launcher with a custom aosp rom.
The S4 weather widget really gave me a hard time, and because I was just learning it took me a very long time to get it to work but i've finally figured it out and it should work without any problems. Please note that in order to avoid a widget display problem I had to make the widget thumbnail in the app drawer transparent. It shows up just fine once you apply it.
I'll welcome any feedback and all I ask for is a thanks if you like it.
This should be compatible on any AOSP, CM10.1 based roms. I am personally using LiquidSmooth stable version.
Please make a backup and use at your own risk
Installation instructions:
Download Link
It's now flashable!
Copy to SD card
Flash in recovery
Reboot and enjoy!
Credit:
I'd like to give credit to dr30ma for the original s4 weather widget for the I9300 from which I ported over to work with our device. Also, thanks to Andybones for the universal flasher tool I used.

S4 SecLauncher finished
Wasn't too bad porting the s4 launcher to work. I'm using a TW rom at this very moment so i'm unable to test it on an AOSP rom so if I have any volunteers i'll post the link to the launcher. If you've already installed the launcher from this post then you will just replace the SecLauncher2.apk in /system/app with this one. Rename your original something like SecLauncher.bak just in case you wanna go back to it you could just rename it back to original. This one also has a 4x5 homepage and a 4x6 menu layout.
Download Link
Don't forget to remove the "s4" from s4SecLauncher2.apk after you copy it over or else it won't work.

I know what's happening...I forgot to include the badgeprovider.apk which notifies you when you get a text and you'll keep getting force closes without it. I'll upload it here in a second. Just push it to /system/app and fix permissions, and reboot and you'll be good to go. I'll fix the original package and upload it seperately for you so you don't have to download the whole thing again.
Download BadgeProvider.apk
Almost forgot to mention, this will just fix the s3 launcher force closing not the s4 launcher. Still need time to figure it out the s4 launcher on AOSP, works fine in Touchwiz.

I found the Framework zip on the 9th page. The system UI I have not tried. Not sure what it adds or changes.

Settings is in a different thread (Link is in the OP). The framework changes things like how the volume and reboot menu look. See the third screenshot.

It def is and thanks for that clarification! As far as the settings you said they were just ok? Even the xposed mod for the toggles aren't exact to the stock s5 ones

Its just nice to get a fuller effect with the settings. I prefer the toggles this way because everything works. The S Finder button and a couple of other things dont work with the mods include that.

I wanted to just flash just framework, do I do that just as a flash through SS? I did the xposed mod for the toggles and recent apps so what is the systemui.apk in the same thread as the framework that makes you edit the build prop?

It seems that SystemUI may be needed to get Ultra Power Saving Mode to work.
