Please, I need help with a compatible headset.
Does anyone know if the nokia headset, WH 701, is compatible with Xperia ARC?
It has advance music, volume, and is quite comfortable.
I had a Nokia N8, and this headset is very good, if it is compatible I'll buy one for use with the Xperia ARC.
Thank you.
Just try it first..
I think when we using different manifacture, It suppose to be not compatible..
But I'm not too sure..

Any real confirmation when we can see the Bravia engine on Galaxy S2? Have the Dre Beats mod and it is awesome, the sound quality has definitely improved when I have my Sennheiser in ear plugs on!
It might also be because I listen to R&B and Hiphop predominantly!
Anyway, if someone can give me an idea when Bravia will be available, only see demos, no actual mods as yet?!
Thanks
Its already been ported. Search the android development section

THANKS will do a search!
Seems like Sony being Sony have disallowed the port, and so cannot download the modification and go through instructions GadgetCheck had posted for this! It was part of the CheckRomHD rom. ah well, ashame really was looking forward to this!

It was really ported and modified to work with xperia x10 first by zdzihu and then people started opening threads for it in every section without any modifications...

i agreed that most of them were just copied from others. but i'm not, at least
Bravia Engine it`s like Beats Audio, if phone doesn`t have this 2 things build in hardware, it`s a wasting you time. If you have a original songs, a pair of good headphones and a good music player, where you can adjust everything, this is a beats audio

It wasn't about u
I become angry on them because zdzihu was the one that took xperia x10 out of the dark days when phone was stuck at 2.1 with locked bootloader and no root for months
Then he bypassed the bootloader, gave his custon recovery, loaded custom kernel and ported CM6...
Was a god to that phone at that time, but now it moved to arc..
U should have gave some credit...

acutally i know nothing about zdzihu's works and i didnt read any materials from him. i implemented the bravia in my gallery mod in my own way after a lot of testings and debugging. however, i admitted that the original idea was not from me
but i agreed with u that some ppl only use others' works by copying them into their roms. nobody will look backward to see who created this or that since no one will care about this and wont remember who did it. i can tell u that, 99% of ppl here don realize who presented the loop device lagfix, the sms sent time mod, etc. it's me
great
Can you add a version that work with 4.0.4 or hight?

I have the arc with ice bean 4.1.3 and arcknight 3.5.
Is there anyway for Samsung s2 headphones (with hands free) to work? Just says accessory not supported
Any patches etc?
Thanks for any replies

Since it's a Samsung earphone, I'll expect it to work with a Samsung phone rather than a Xperia phone.
As for thr patch, shouldn't you ask on the Ice Bean thread rather than Q&A?

I wouldnt hold your breath waiting for a patch mate....
Best off sticking to OEM kit if you want stereo headphones with hands free....

I think it was some carrier ICS firmware.
Man, I'm starting to get my hopes even if I don't really want that. I'm just setting myself up for disappointment, lol.

How can you say that an aftermarket app not working is a bug??? That's not Sony's fault is it?? And I've no lag in home either.
Some people ate never happy eh...?

Works perfectly on ICS. On JB every reboot I have to select the default keyboard. On my Galaxy S Advance with JB works perfectly.
This is a system bug.

You're using a leaked firmware that's intended for developers and Brown devices. You can't expect everything to work. I'd be more inclined to say that swiftly isn't compatible, yet.

Great news, However if there are issues with Swiftkey, I may well stick with SlimBean

The good points are that the minor bugs we saw on 6.2.B.0.197 are probably fixed, maybe the leak was intentional and they saw our comments on the leak topic so they have more chances in finding bugs and polish the rom the best they can.
Now that we have a certified ROM, It should be released this week, unless they find another bug, fix it and compile a new version, delaying the launch for some days (6.2.B.0.201...).
But I'm really hopeful about getting JB this week, maybe in the original announcement they said "From the end of may", because is when the roll out should be finished (all carriers / countries), which matches with that french carrier that showed the roll out would be on May.
What do you guys think?
Hope they fix the camera autofocus issue, and more importantly the camera white balance... I don't want all my picture turned purple ...
(the reason why I still stick to stock ICS is due to the camera quality :| )
Its also important have kernel source. Without it custom kernels for stock Rom
Are quite impossible(or require a lot of time to make it boot system)

The issues you talk about are solveable on the leak by converting to system app.
Xperia SL and Acro S has also been certified with 6.2.b.0.200.

Seriously, it's probably very doable, but if you've got all that time an energy....
Why do you want froyo? Im pretty sure froyo is slower than gb and has less features.

It will be lot of work because you must make drivers for our HW and make/edit whole new framework. Maybe it will have more RAM but with cost of porformance.. But on the other side it would be very interesting to try Froyo.
Well, good luck with googling
