Powerbottom not working fully - LG Optimus G (International)

after i have rooted and restored the original firmware after software bricking it trying to unlock the bootloader on my E975, i restored the original software and rooted it, but it's like sometimes when i click i only get black screen on, and click again i get the phone unlocked and ready to use, and after that, it doesn't matter help much i push down the power bottom it don't come up with the menu but turn off the screen and i can battle with it for sometime and it automatically reboots.
anyone got a solution for this, i am ready to try it, bcs i am tired of having this problem :crying:

hmm it has already happened twice after i made this post.

hmm yesterday i got enough, and reflashed the original firmware E97510B_00.kdz (E97510b-EUR-xx) i downloaded it with this Application for download Original LG Firmware.
this morning when i didn't hear the alarm normally this doesn't happen, but the alarm got stuck, and after 20mins or something when i force stopped the Alarm/Clock the phone rebooted on it's own.
could it be that the Original LG Firmware program found the wrong firmware out from my phone's serial i put in?

No
Did you do a factory reset?

yap, right after flashing the phone, and i tried around 8 or something this morning after it ****ed up again, downloading Apex Launcher Pro and installing it, and that worked for like 5 or 6 hours without a problem but then like less then an hour ago i just got black screen using the power bottom :crying:
so what is wrong here?

hmm no one got a solution or something I can try to do so I can get rid of this problem?

hmm, not much about the problem i see, so maybe i am the only one?

troubles flashing... help, please

First time I tried flashing I got a error 270. And that was after running the SDA app unlock. So then I tried using the USPL error 270 fix. The problem I'm having Is right when it says "the screen should turn almost black". The screen turns white. At that point active sync doesn't recongnize the phone anymore, and the phone is stuck unresponsive, with a white screen.
So heres a few questions to make sure I'm doing this right.
When I run the sda unlock. Should the phone respond in any way? When I press the ok button I get a instant verification that the phone is unlocked. The phones screen doesn't light up or anything of the sorts. It almost seems like nothing happened.
When you say reboot (yeah this is a dumb question!) I'm just turning the phone off, and then turning it back on again. Is the correct way to do it?
It is a brand new excalibur I'm working with. The one with the all black face. I just figured I should throw that in there in case there was any little difference that would be causing me problems.
I can't wait to get this phone flashed! Looking at all the tweaks and tricks and not being able to try them out is killing me!

Yes rebooting is when your phone turns off and back on. Soft reset is when you power the phone off and power it back on.
Did you follow these instructions to T?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415225

ran both, failed at 0% this time. Left the phone stuck with the tri colored screen. But, in that thread, it says I may have to try it a few times. I'll give it another shot and see what happens.
really wish rebooting the phone was quicker!
tried again. phone locked up and didn't want to connect with active sync.
overall I've tried several times. Is it normal to have this many problems? I'm starting to get frustrated!
Don't get me wrong. I really appreciate all the info and help I'm getting with this. The frustration is just not being able to make it work.

No it normally doesn't give you that many problems, except if you made a mistake flashing. I flashed three times within my first week before I found the rom I liked, and never had a single problem. See what I did was print all the instructions on flashing and had them on my lap while I was flashing and double checking every step before going to the next. Is very important that you follow the steps to a T so nothing like this happens. If you can get the bootloader screen , I would suggest to reinstall the official 6.0 rom, get the phone back to factory, and then try again to flash to 6.1.
Do you know the bootloader procedure?
I'm following these instructions... to a T.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415225
I'm not sure if you would call that a bootloader procedure? Is there something else I need to know how to do?
I've had it completely lock up during the flashing process, and have had to pull the battery to get the phone to work again. The phone works just like normal after I've had to do that. Are you saying that I need to re flash the stock rom before I can flash it to a different one?

The phone is working normally now? so nothing happened? are you still on the 6.0 and everything is operational? If you are then you don't need the bootloader.
yeah the phone works fine. No glitches.
Got frustrated with it yesterday so I just left it. Going to try again today.
Does it make any differance that it's the new black faced excalibur? I read that not much changed except the color.
WOO-HOO!
I got it! Did the same things I did before, for some reason this time it worked.
Have only had a few minutes playing with it but so far I love it! I was dissapointed with the lack of configuration in the "stock" OS. I've already got everything moved around just where I want it.
Thank you soo much for the help! You guys are great!

Random bootloop, Can't find a fix

Good morning guys,
Last night, i was just using my phone like normal when it froze, crashed, and began to bootloop.
I've tried battery pulls, I've tried to factory reset using the volume down + power combo, I've tried to wipe cache and enter safe mode but none of this worked
I was on 10b firmware but since none of the above worked, I tried to KDZ to a stock 11a which still keeps my phone at a bootloop. All I see if the LG logo at startup and a crash.
do you have any suggestions on how I can try to fix this? according to reddit this random bootloop has been happening to multiple people
thanks in advance for your help
It started happening to me, as well, over the weekend. My phone crashed and started bootlooping, stuck at the LG startup screen where it stalls for a few seconds and then goes black. Every now and then it will boot up properly, but the phone crashes after about two minutes and starts bootlooping again. I cannot manage to wipe the phone because it so seldom boots properly. I noticed that the phone gets very hot. I suppose that I will need to return it to Verizon for warranty replacement, but I hate having so much data on the phone when I return it. I was doing nothing unusual with the phone when this started happening.

yeah it's definitely weird. I was rooted on 10b holding out for a bootloader exploit down the line.
I called up verizon and theyre shipping me a new g4 since it was still under the 1 year warranty. I hope it's still rootable with the firmware it'll ship with
Same here
Hey guys! I thought I'd reply instead of making a new post because I think I'm in the same boat. My dads phone has just started doing this, but the weird thing is he wasn't rooted! I was able to get it to the recovery and tried the wipe cache and safe mode options, it didn't do anything.. I then tried flashing the kdz but no luck..
Hope some of the smart folks here can help us!

I was fortunate to get it into download mode so I kdz it back to 11a stock so as to wipe all data, thankfully. The stock reset made no difference, as it still would rarely boot, and even when it did boot it would crash fairy quickly. My warranty replacement should arrive tomorrow.

yup, i kdzed up to 11a and it went from modified status to official so hopefully that wiped everything on my phone too. My new one will be coming in tomorrow
I just received my warranty replacement, and it is an 11a factory refurb device that looks like new. No noticeable screen lag thus far, but it is running awfully warm as it restores all my apps and some data from the Verizon Cloud.

I think not, and I actually prefer buying factory refurbs in most cases when possible because you are assured of the product being carefully inspected. In this case, my phone looks brand new and is performing just fine. The initial heat concern has gone away as the phone has settled in.
Please Help!!!!!
I'm trying to help my sister out who is in Ecuador right now. Her phone was a little slow today and kept going to the red verizon sign - so she turned it off and took the battery out.... when she turned it on it said the SD card is blank. She has 800 pics on it from her trip and is wondering if there is anything to get them back???? Please help!!!! Any suggestions would be helpful!
weird i had the same thing happen a few days ago also...using new phone now.
This issue happened to me out of no where last week and had a replaement sent. Wasn't rooted

same problem here ...
rooted device. nothing special today .. and then: bootloops.
When i remove the battery for a longer time, sometimes the g4 boots properly. But after a few minutes it'll bootloop again.
Any ideas?

What's the manufacturing date of the phone that failed? I'm trying to figure out if it's just a matter of time (the May ones failed first, then June), or if it's only May boards with the issue.

stuck on LG boot screen not rooted

Hey guys my verizon g4 is stuck in bootloop and im not rooted, i cant get the past the lg boot screen, it stays on their for around 20 seconds goes black and back to lg screen.
I can get into recovery but none of the options do anything ive tried safe mode, usb debug mode i even tried factory reset they all just go back to the lg screen.
I was just watching a video on facebook when it froze restarted and now im stuck, ive been restarting it all day and i was able to get it to boot up twice but it froze again within seconds any help is appreciated
it might be the defective motherboard issue that people are having. you could try reflashing the system, but if that doesn't work you probably need a new motherboard/phone
Not an answer, but an experience.
I have an HTC ONE M8, VZW. I s-offed it and rooted it right when I got it. I began adding some of my google apps and it did what your G4 is doing, stuck on VZW screen.
Since I was s-off I was able to get a recovery in and ready. I was able to get a custom rom onto the phones external sd. I flashed it with the recovery and the flash took, no more vzw screen lock up.
Your experience makes me wonder what VZW is doing to force bootloops on unlocked or rooted phones with their retail products. Paranoid maybe, but I can see VZW deliberately adding code to stick it to rooted users.....................................I say this still knowing that many have rooted the current run of devices without issues...........................
luck
i read about the problems with the motherboard going bad, im assuming thats what happened to mine. Lg sent me a replacement under warranty
Update!
i called verizon they sending me a replacement. just to let you know i flashed 13B KDZ but the bootloop was still there i let my phone on and finally turned on quickly i did a factory reset and booted up normal and its working again. still im gonna send it back. just sharing my experience maybe for other people might work too.

What is the 13B KDZ and how did you flash it? Im having same exact issue.
My G4 tanked over the weekend. I was browsing news and the phone locked up, then it shut off and turned back on. It just bootloops now. If I stick it in the freeze for a few minutes, sometimes it will boot to the OS where it starts to optimize the apps. It will get through about 20 before it shuts off and starts the bootloop process again. I haven't even been able to get the download mode to stay on, and when it does enter download mode, it is not detected by the computer. I think my problem is the motherboard. I'm just hoping that they aren't able to figure out I had it rooted!
I'm still waiting to hear back from Verizon about a replacement.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can flash a stock rom back on this thing to try to save my tail? I am betting not since the phone won't stay on long enough to even flash the rom.

They mailed me a new one, no battery, no back. I put my battery, sim card, sd card, and back on the new phone, fired it up. Rolled it back, rooted it, then I mailed the old one back.
Personally, I love this phone, but I think I will be getting a nexus next.

[PROBLEM] Not Bootloop - Please help [Intesting post]

Good evening everyone,
I come to you guys with a very particular problem. The LG G4 in question is an H815T (Asian variant). Let me clarify right now, it was not bootlooping. This one was getting STUCK at the LG logo, it didn't restart to it multiple times, it just got stuck there one day after turning off by itself. It did go into the download mode, though.
It went into the first part of the recovery, but when you selected that you wanted to factory reset, it got stuck there. The only way to get it out of the logo or the stuck recovery was taking the battery out. Interestingly enough, the phone DID charge at the stuck logo, albeit not so much due to the screen being constantly on at full brightness.
An even more interesting fact... I managed to fix it! I flashed the KDZ corresponding to the latest LP for the H815T, after the process was done, it did bootloop. I found the YouTube video about flashing a certain file to deactivate most of the cores and said "what the hell have I got to lose?"
Flashed the KDZ and.... VOILA! It showed the Recovery Android doing its job at Format Resetting !
Something even crazier... The phone booted into AndroidLP, I was worried about the cores thing, but the phone seemed to work at full speed... I was surprised to run HWmonitor and notice that all of the cores were active. The phone was fully working!!! Or so I thought... Now I have TWO problems:
I cannot update to MM. If I try to update from the phone itself (because it does say there's a new version available) I go back to being stuck at the LG logo.
When I make a call the screen goes off... nothing I do will turn it on, and if the other person does not hang up, the phone will remain locked. However, if I plug in a headset everything works normally.
Is there anything I can do about these two problems? Please, leave your comments and questions, I think this phone is pretty weird and I found nothing else like it on YouTube or here on XDA.
Take care :good:!
Idk for the call but for the mm you could try using something like lg mobile update tool... Something like that.
Be warned cuz i dont know if it will bootloop.

All good, Willy! Even is you're stuck at the LG logo, take your battery out, or it back in BUT DON'T TURN IT ON... Instead, try to access DOWNLOAD MODE. If you're able to do it, you can flash any KDZ you want, but be careful.

Yes ur right using a heavy screen protector will block all the sensors so ya try removing it... No issues in MM u can try OTA through wifi

LGG3 D850 stuck on firmware update screen

So my mom had an LG G3 D850 from at&t. was totally fine, then she updated whatever she had to 6.0 and it started bootlooping. Tried the LG Flash tool with a tot stock firmware. Went through the whole process got the blue screen with the red 3, it restarted, kept bootlooping. Tried it again but then it got stuck on 5% for like 4 hours, unplugged it and now no matter what i do i cant get into download mode. It shows the LG screen then goes straight to firmware update (even if i dont hold vol up) and it says 910K Bxx QEM (the xx changes) I was able to get into recovery mode, recovered it. same thing. Im losing my mind a little bit here so any advice, or pointing me to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Ive looked all over the internet and cant find anything helpful apparently the qualcomm thing where you short the motherboard doesnt work for this phone either?

If it is under warranty .send your phone to at&t to get it fixed.

Qualcmomm method you are describing is just to bring your phone into download mode. I have done this to my brother's g3. You have to flash using LG flashtool using different settings and then hard reset your phone. If it doesn't solve your problem.try to replace battery and then use custom rom.
tried that
