Anyone lost their money from them?
I actually bought twice from them in the past but this time it's been more than 2 weeks and my order still shows New. A friend told me that his order is still new after 40 days. I know they will ship it at some point in time, maybe 2-3 months but I was actually thinking to cancel the order. On the other hand it's about 100EU cheaper than anyone else. All those issues with HOX also made me cool down and add a plus on those thoughts and I'm also making thoughts for SG3.
I know, all review sites on Internet have them very low rated (one star) but still they are by far the cheapest.
Any of you guys lost his money from them?
I didn't personnally buy from them but when i was planning to i did a little a search and found that it's really not recommended, some product arrive very late others never.
Yeah, when I saw those reviews I just didn't care anymore... I'd rather pay 100€ more and actually receive the product than to pay less and get burned...
Now th big concern is if you cancel or not. I've seen that most people who lost their money is when they attempted to cancel orders or claiming funds. That gives them the chance to "confuse" things and keep your money while not sendingany product. Here's the question: to cancel or not to cancel?
I'm a gambler so, I'll take my chances and play heads or tail. I'll give some more days though but in the meantime I recommend that noone uses them. I guess that some people, like myself, don't learn from our past mistakes.

in our country they sell the HOX 700 euros so they are poushing us to buy throu ather countrys
i wish one day they will come to there senses and sell things in a more logical prices
I ordered an HTC Desire HD from them last year. It was taking ages and I cancelled the order. They only cancelled it after 2 weeks chasing them about the cancellation. Finally, after a couple of weeks and tons of emails and threats I got a refund. They have awful support and I do not recommend ordering from them.
Not to mention that the product comes from Hong Kong, so you will need to contact HTC to check if they cover warranty.
I bought my LG Optimus 2x from them, it took ages to arrive but it did in the end. It was a hell of a lot cheaper than everyone else too. Heard some bad things about them so I probably wouldn't use them again though.

I bought 2 cameras from them till date and they both arrived in time as described. The 2 purchases were a year apart. The second camera though had a European battery charger. Apart from the above I haven't had to use warranty on either indicating the items must be genuine.
Mind it - for whatever good or bad reason, I hadn't researched anywhere before buying from them. Had I known about their reviews, I would not have bought from them.
My friend recently purchased ipad2 from them but cancelled it before they despatched and got refunded without any hassle.
Don't know what to advice you but hope the above experiences shared help.

Not worth the trouble!
Just come across this post and thought I'd share my experience (to back up the thousands of others you can find on the net) about how ridiculous SimplyElectronics are as a company and to avoid them if you care for your sanity.
I placed an order for a Galaxy Nexus on 30/06/12, enticed by the low price and 'expect delivery in 2-4 days' advertisement. After 6 days of the order being stuck at 'New' (which I found out means that they haven't even processed the order, it means they have accepted your offer of purchase, which means that they take the money out of your bank, and then do nothing for a while) and after sending a few emails asking why my order hadn't been processed even though the Live Stock Report said there were plenty in stock, I decided to cancel my order on 5/06/12. They asked me why, I explained that I needed the phone as I work offshore and was going away, and had ordered it elsewhere from a more efficient company. They said they understood my decision and my refund request had been passed to the relevant department. I left it for a few days. Then when 10 days later the money hadn't been returned I started emailing them again. I have now been sending emails daily asking for my refund, yet 24 days after cancelling my order I'm still receiving apologetic emails saying they're trying their hardest.
I guess the short version of my warning to others is this is not a company you should conduct business unless you have the patience of a God. I know from looking around other sites I'm not the only one who has been a victim of their incompetence. I'm sure they have 10's of satisfied customers all around the globe, I just wish I'd done more reading first. If you can find the product elsewhere that costs slightly more than they are selling them for, pay the extra, it will save you alot of time.

becouse i think about possible problems with the device
I've posted on Facebook, Google + and anywhere else I could think of after my recent attempt to get a One X from them.
Web showed stock, blurb said dispatched & delivered in 3 to 8 days. Took my money immediately and then the problems started.
Used Barclaycard fraud department to get my money back while I fought SE for a refund. 13th May to today spookily enough to get my refund.
God knows how many calls & emails...
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
And if you already have, use your card company to get your money back.
Just stop right here. If any manufacture start too sell massively obviously some phones will have problemes like 10%. If you see the most popular phones have problemes.
I've got mine and its a model ht23 without any problemes its the first hox I have and the only.
And with expansys you will have internacional warranty for 2years and houses for support on your country. Trust in expansys!

hmm and what about oll these negative posts??
I did indeed NerdGuy, sorry! But working with Simply Electronics the months just seem to blend into each other it takes that long. I was told today that my refund will be with me within 7 days, I'm neither holding my breath nor stopping the daily emails, after 27 days of asking I fail to believe they'll pull their finger out any time soon.
I learnt the hard way also over a month to get my 500$ back. Since then anything expensive I buy in person regardless if it's $100 cheaper online.

anybody here has ordered from the samsung estore and got their device?
i ordered on saturday and am still waiting, its killing me!! the customer care helpline is so useless.
Moved To Q&A
Please post questions in the Q&A section.
Yes I have ordered from their E-Store. Processing won't happen till monday if you ordered on Saturday. It'll also ship on monday. Check your spam folder JIC they sent you a tracking number.
Even i had ordered this phone from Samsung estore on 27 September 2012. Till now they are saying me that it is still not processed from banglore. Upon that, once it will be processed, it will take another 5 to 7 days to reach at my place. This totally sucks man..
I have had enough of the patience man.. They should have mentioned their before if they are going to ship it after a decade or so...
Didn't know that. So far whenever I ordered something it has been relatively quick. Though the free ground shipping adds like almost 1 week to shipping time. I live in Hawaii so it makes sense lol.

Hey I hadn't seen this posted yet so I figured i'd go ahead.
Power A has a promo going on to celebrate Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour's release with a free controller promo:victory:! (And a copy of the game but let's face it, you know you're more interested in a Bluetooth controller.)
You have to pay S&H and it's for the US only, but I suggest grabbing one. It came out to a little over 5 bucks for me.
Use the promo code "SecretSanta" and you're good.
Only good today. (Well tomorrow till noon cuz they got pounded earlier and took the site down.)
here's the site

Enjoy!

Yeah I guess they sold out. Sorry thought I'd try to get the message out as quick as I could.
Hello together
My trial apparently ends at midnight tonight and hasn't renewed itself yet.
Given that there are other services that offer more and are still free and that iPhone users only have to pay once, I am not so happy paying a yearly fee.
Especially as I am only using it with half a dozen people.
Now I was wondering if it actually expired anywhere? I haven't read a single user anywhere actually stating that his ran out and didn't work anymore.
So either everybody is prepared to pay and Whatsapp system worked (get people to subscribe and then once it has spread charge fees... which I know was announced from the start but they themselves didn't even know if it would ever happen) or it automatically renews itself after all.
Any experiences?
The second question would be:
does it really work to renew using an iPhone? If so, must Whatsapp be uninstalled and reinstalled on the iPhone? Because if so, wouldn't that mean I would have to pay to buy the app for me and then rebuy it for my friend who had to uninstall it?
Hope you guys can help me. I'm curious as to people's experiences.
My subscription has nearly run out multiple times but never expired they have always extended it.

Mine says it expires on the 9th of April 2013
AW: Did Whatsapp actually expire for anyone?
apparently whatsapp decided to actually charge for their service now.
was announced end of 2012 and was to be implemented jan/feb 2013
so i'm afraid it looks like it will actually expire tonight
Mine was to expire on 28th feb, got renewed 4 days ago till the month of May.
Hey what are your numbers, add me
AW: Did Whatsapp actually expire for anyone?
hmmmm
maybe whatsapp decided to renew some but not all?
i'll see in roughly 9 hours
might have to switch to chatON or something then...
Mine was supposed to expire on the 15th of this month... It's been extended till the same date next year automatically...

Lol they always extend it for me during last week or two. I've had 4 extensions till now. I'm on last month, let's see if they extend it or not. But its really cheap so it doesn't matter. But its kind of funny how they always extend it after continuous warnings

extends service in my case
Dont try to pay through iPhone. It doesnt work.
I used my sim on iPhone and paid for the app and when i switched sim back on to S2 i still had the same expiry date and in the end i had to email WhatsApp support telling them what i did and that i wasnt gonna pay again and they extended me for another year:thumbup:
BTW this thread shouldnt be in themes and apps mate.

Same! Mine was supposed to expire last year on September 29th, now Sept 29th 2013.

why not? it's about the app. where else should i have put it ?
the trial expiration wasn't introduced until this year.
last year they were all renewed. mine was too. but now it seems it does expire.

i wonder how many people actually decided to pay the fees?
i mean, the business model was genious.
get people to register and use it believing it is free. by the tine they realize that they might have to pay one day they have already spread the word.
then they get free renewal and think it'll stay that way.
more and more people use it although it is not secure and will not remain free.
nevertheless nobody is prepared to use alternatives.
just goes to show that if done correctly you can make people pay for anything even if they could have it for free.
Just like drugs, first few samples on the house till you are hooked

I noticed quite a few members ordered their Android TV from geekbuying.com. what is this company like dealing with? Is it a pain in the rear end or smooth transaction?
I noticed they don't add taxes on the checkout bill, do I pay the taxes on delivery?
I know this slightly off topic but I'm one step away from purchasing a MINIX N7.
Thank You

you dont have to pay sales tax on the goods if over internet unless you are in their home state and there is never tax on delivery but check with your state for something called "use tax" i have one in ohio too but no problem as if you are unsure of that bussiness check with bbb( better bussines bureau)

Geekbuying are total scammers. Took my money, never sent me anything and never reply to emails. Made me wait until I couldn't get my money back too. Never again.
Also I'm not the only person to of been ripped off by them, check out all the links to other people who have posted their experiences and been ripped off.

I had no problems with geekbuying, I bought two android sticks(Minix Neo G4's) last Christmas took about three weeks to ship to Ireland.
