Does anyone have recommendations for a similar app that functions like Motorola RAZR smart actions?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Had to Google what smart actions actually are...
There are lots of apps that provide such functionality, and are much more powerful, Tasker comes to mind, or Automate It, or llama.
Depends on what you're looking for, things can be easily set up and there are lots of tutorials to get you started.

Tasker is on sale for $1.99. It's got a tough learning curve but it's never been easier since the UI upgrade.
There's pretty much nothing else that comes as close to how powerful Tasker can be.

Apple just give up the IPHONE sucks deal with it.
There are already 2threads in the themes and apps sections on this

what is there to take credit for? it's obvious the youtube video isn't yours and you obviously didn't create the new android swiping keyboard.
Ida it me or want this available in ics or the first jb? Well the Swype feature at least?

You can get it on both ICS and jb

I hate to the Samsung kb on the gs3 but like some one once said if you don't like something about android Change it! I switched to the swift kb and it's smooth and fast and always figures me out. Seriously you guys need to check it out. I install it and see just how fast you can type and it should keep up.

He is right. The predictive powers are ridiculously good. I can almost type faster on it than a regular laptop. That is partly due to a superior UI also.
Downside: no emoji, no abbreviated shortcuts. The latter is somewhat mitigated by the fact prediction is so astoundingly good and fast.

Yea, I miss the abbreviated shortcuts. Still easier to punctuate and get smilies quickly on Swype.
I like the ability to swype without having to change to a different keyboard. And as someone said before, it does keep up with fast typing!
im looking for an app that can concentrate a number of actions to one button that i will be able to put on my Homescreen as a widget, thus saving time by not forcing me to do each and every one of the actions.
for example - i would like to open "waze", turn on bluetooth, turn on the gps and turn off the wifi with just one click
is that possible?
dose anybody know an app who dose that?
(im using an unrooted Nexus 4 and i am aware of the NFC technology - just looking for a different solution.)
thanks a lot!!
Edi.
I thinks Tasker can do this
Tapalked with a Nexus⁴
+1
If you get Tasker right now I believe its on sale. It can definitely do this. You would create a profile for the application Waze, and add tasks for each thing you want to happen when you open Waze.

Im on jedi x 13, and have pie launcher working, just curious to what everyone is using it for. I had toggles on it, but the pull down is good for that, just cant think of what to use it for at the moment.

I use it for quick access to necessary apps while I'm out n about on my bicycle. music maps etc its not as valuable as say is you were on nexus 7 but its a awesome jedi feature. I use it without the info showing because I like using the s pen thanks b whoever posted those awesome Hover point icons. If your feeling pie I recommend you checkout a app called relaunch1

why not just show your screen caps?
I've set it up with basic buttons like, back, home, recent apps, menu. I always use it coz it just appears on the side or bottom screen so i don't have to look down to press home or whatever.
POWERED by FROSTY!
Yeah ive tried it for all those things, found that the integrated phone features were easier and more user friendly. I like the feature and idea, just need the proper functionality for it.

The best I've ever used ; Swiftkey.
I tried a lot, but I always go back to Swiftkey. Smoot, beautiful, amazing predictions, separated layout in landscape mode... It makes typing very fast and easy !

SwiftKey Flow.
It works better for me than Swype or stock, although I admit, I have not used Swype in a while, so this may not be a fair assessment.
SwiftKey frustrates me, though, because it refuses to recognize any semi-vulgar words (even stuff like "sucks") and certain contact names (ex. Hayden). I've tried everything I could think of, and I've emailed the developer, but no luck. This did not happen during the SwiftKey Flow trial, which is why I switched from stock to SwiftKey paid version to begin with.
I'm actively awaiting Minuum. It looks very promising.

This one called MessagEase http://www.exideas.com/ME/index.php (you can also look it up on the Play Store). It's great because it doesn't rely on text prediction and uses big and easy to press keys. I can easily type one-handed and I don't need to look at the screen any more to type.
It's a big change, that 90% of the people are not willing to do but I couldn't be happier with it. Been using it for about 3 months now and I'm typing faster than on my old Xperia Pro's hardware slide-out keyboard – about 65 wpm now.

SwiftKey all the way.
Swype. I've tried all the popular keyboards extensively and nothing comes close to Swype's gesture input accuracy.
What do you guys think of a.i keyboard?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I love the keyboard with PA ROM. Especially for its shortcuts , so I type hwd and it shows me suggestion to expand it to how was your day.
Though I would love it if it would auto expand . Siine had that feature earlier

Shortcut Keyboard by Siine. Has so many amazingly simple features.
Then again, I'm still more than happy with the stock keyboard.

I would say Kii is probably the best if you're a tap tap tap type of person.
Touchpal.. the best!

I've actually been trying to find a way to run CM10.1 keyboard on rooted stock/odex.

I came across this the other day... Had been missing Automateit back when I was using rooted devices. Works very well for automating simple tasks (ie turn auto-rotate on when I open youtube) .
Worth a try.

tasker should work for these things as well.

Definitely does... And I've used tasker before, but Macrodroid is much easier for basic stuff. Tasker's UI is pretty complicated IMO...it does more and if you are rooted there is no comparison.

Good call on this app! I'm using it now for a few things. Easy to set up.
