hello everyone i have a problem with 3g not being able to work on a flashed sprint to verizon phone. i tried many different prls. also could someone tell me how to get rid of the activation message from sprint it keeps popping up thanks
It's not the prl that gives u 3G. You have to have a EVDO VZW PRL but if you don't manually program in the correct info it don't matter. The sprint auto activation will go away after you make a call. Not right away but it will

t-mob connection is good to me here in nyc, but i just bought a cabin down in poconos, pa where data connection is at edge at best.horrible data connection.
anyone know of any options that would let me setup an account with another carrier for daily use with my unlocked, rooted tmob note 2?
i sh1t on verizon all the time, but this makes me realize how superior their network is, as i see people here with their 4g lte connections.
i would hate to get rid of my grandfathered 4g lte plan. anyone in the same boat ?
thanks

Not sure if this is the place to ask this or over in the i9505 forum but I've heard this device isn't fully capable of taking advantage of T-Mobile's network like the carrier version, something along the lines of missing the antennas that allow for dual band HSPA(+). I have only heard by word of mouth but haven't been able to find a source, is this true?
I realize this device is LTE capable but I doubt I have that level of coverage yet in the Youngstown/Warren area so I still rely on HSPA(+) and I am wondering if I would even have coverage and support with that signal.
The GE S4 does carry all of the bands including the 1700 band. i spoke to Google rep and they did confirm that it has an error on the end regarding the miss print

As the above person said.. You are good to go. The Google edition is identical to T-Mobile version meaning you will have the aws band for T-Mobile hspa.

My phone is Galaxy S3 T999 without LTE, and I got very weak T Mobile signal at my home address, 3 bars for 3G and 1or 2 bars for HSPA+.
so my questions are: how does T Moible define 4G? does T Moible count HSPA+ as 4G data? is T999 capable of 4G?
am I wasting my 5GB 4G data plan with my T999 phone?
thanks

First, if you look for the thread and its not here, its moved to the Q&A area.
There are a few things you can try to improve your signal.
Toggle airplane mode on then off.
I'm sure you've tried, but Reboot the phone.
Try some different modems. Link in my sig. (There are a lot of them and some will be better than others for your area.)
Try the build.prop tweaks in the modem thread
Finally, call tmobile. If your house is in a location they show to have good 4G, they might give you a signal booster for your home. (Might is the key word!)
HSPA+ is actually considered a 3g tech (3.5-3.75 to be precise) tmobile got away with calking it 4g because they could match other carriers 4g speeds (more or less).
Still, you should be able to pull an average of 12-20mb/s which is pretty sufficient for most needs.
The T999 is capable of truer 4g speeds, but its when using their HSPA+42 tech. If you are in an area that was upgraded with this, you could see averages of 20-30mb/s I'm guessing.
Are you wasting your money with the T999? Only you can really answer that. If they have rolled out LTE in your market, then maybe. But if not, itll be just as good as any other phone you could get from them.
Hope that helps!
