p.a.c.man mass storage - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys! I have been running on P.A.C.man for a while now but there's something bothering me since a long time ago that I miss from GB roms, when I connect my phone to the laptop it connects as an MTP device and on the connections menu on the phone it doesn't appears the option to connect as Mass Storage. I enabled the Mass Storage option on the Kernel Menu but it keeps connecting as MTP.
Is there a way to connect as Mass Storage?

I tried the option "Change USB to MTP/UMS" I even have it as UMS but it still picks as a MTP device, the only way to connect is as UMS that I have is to connect it on the kernel menu and mount usb storage...

[Q] USB Autoconnect

Every time I plug in my phone to the PC the drives automount, I have dev mode enabled, but I remember it used to be that I had to click on "Connect" in the notification dropdown to connect them originally.
There are programs that automount the drives, I don't have any of these installed. I'm on Blazer 4.0 ... Does anyone know if there is a setting to turn off this automounting, so it only connects the USB( SD card, and internal ) when I click on the mount?
I'd really rather have the choice then have it just auto mount everytime. Any ideas?

USB not recognised

It was working till yesterday, now my computer wont recognise the mass storage device. The mini usb is not at fault as I tried connecting my phone and it works. Problem only with KF. Any idea guys?
What rom are you running look under storage in settings 3 dots upper right make sure mass storage is enabled

As of Android 4.0 I believe they removed mass storage from all subsequent builds of android. They had a reason for it which I do not recall but it is not possible on any 4.0+ device no matter the hack.

MTP has several advantages over mass storage mode, some of which include:
1) storage can be accessed simultaneously by both the Android tablet/phone as well as the computer it is connected to by USB
2) does not need to be selected on the device after connecting USB (likely related to Item 1 above, as the storage no longer has to be "unmounted" from the device
3) app storage and user storage are now unified
Item 3 above is probably the primary reason for the move to MTP. And of course MTP has its drawbacks.
I've seen mass storage enabled on custom ROMs on other devices (HTC One X in particular). So it is possible. But whether we will ever see this on the Note 8 is another story.
I've tried these two:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175747
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mohammadag.samsungusbmassstorageenabler
But both didn't work...
Many people on 4.0 and higher got to enable Mass Storage Device mode..
So I was thinking about how to do that..
I'll wait till someone successfully make it able on NOTE 8.0
Thanks

[Q] Is it possible to force normal USB Mass storage?

Hello there!
When I had my LG L9, the phone always connected to computers (through USB) using MTP. At some point, a user made a script that forced Mass Storage mode at boot instead of using MTP. How hard would that be for the zen phone? I have 64GB on board storage and 64GB external.
Copying data to or from the phone seems a tad more difficult over MTP than mass storage. For example, every time I copy a video file to the phone, a windows dialogue box comes up asking "Are you sure you want to copy this file?" Sure, I could hit "yes for all", but I would rather the old simple method. IT also seems MTP takes awhile to load a directory, where mass storage happens instantaneously.
Good question and yes, It seems MTP is slower than mass storage I believe. Would be great to see mass storage on the zenfone 2

Connect USB cable, then drag notification bar and choose file transfer.. If still you can't transfer file then turn off USB debugging if it's enabled.
