Is your phone SIM-locked to a specific carrier?
Coz there are unlocked Xperia Us around here.

You'll need your unlock code. These are network specific for Sony handsets, so can unlock from all networks.
I'm unsure of the rules here regarding links, but our page for the Xperia U is below. There you can order your unlock code and we'll deliver it within 3 - 10 days on average.

Hello newbie here! Purchased my first android phone, yay, Sony Xperia X10i but locked to the Three network in Uk, not so yay. What do you mean by 'unlock' - Bootloader or SIM? If it's the bootloader then I think you're following the procedure of my phone (X10 Mini Pro) as the Mini Pro uses fastboot. Try the SE unlock site if it's still there?

First of all, I couldn't find a Xperia Pro forums and so I posted here. After all, I've seen a lot of Xperia Pro talk in the Arc forum.
I have a locked, but rooted Fido Xperia Pro which I've been wanting to unlock for a while now. Will the testpoint method work with S1Tool for free? I don't want to try it because of the hassle, hope someone can confirm it for me. If not, is there a free way to unlock the bootloader on a locked Xperia Pro?
First type *#*#7378423#*#* ie *#*#service#*#* actually ,go to service info then configuration see bl unlock allowed if yes you can unlock it free from sony official site many tutorials are on xda too search them eg in xperia play forum it will work on your phone too and if no you'll have to pay for it for that contact alejandrissimo

1. I do not know if they are reliable and safe and you do not stealing money
2. How much is a good price for having such code

And if I cannot do my self for free, which do you recommend to use online at a low price.

Exactly what he said. Your phone hs a newer type of security and because of that, there is currently no known way to unlock your phone with SETOOL.

official bootloader unlock by sony not working?

if unlock by sony not work & the phone is older than 2 years (no warranty) maybe you can ask au to get unlock code?
