[Q] Jelly King Google Now Voice Search crash - HTC Wildfire S

Hi I am new to XDA, so correct me if I make errors/problems!
I recently just flashed kantry123's awesome Jelly King v2 ROM at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075272. It was a great ROM(good work kantry123! and thanks too) with no major or minor bugs, at least I did not notice any. Everything works fine except for Google Now. I used the built-in Google Now 2.0.x of the ROM and everytime I clicked on the "Voice Search" button in Google Now it crashes, saying "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped". I updated it to 2.1.x (the apk is from here: http://android.sc/download-google-now-apk-the-latest-version/) and hoped that it would fix the problem, but it is still the same. Even if I launched the Voice Search of Google Now from my app drawer it still says "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped". I updated Google Now further from Market (thanks to Market Helper) to 2.2.x but the problem still persists. Please, if anyone knows how to fix this problem or have an apk of Google Now that works on Jelly King v2, could you post a link to it? Please, if you could post it ASAP. Thanks in advace and sorry if I sound stupid.
My device is HTC Wildfire S A510e Marvel GSM.
(If I have posted in the wrong place feel free to move it to the correct place. Thank you again!)

Uninstall google search with a 3rd party app, reinstall from the market, reboot into recovery, fix permissions, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache, reboot. Worked on my T889 running Cm10.1 nightlies.

I for some reason assumed it wasn't compatible with our device :/
Try what the above user has suggested

In this forum only i got some working apk of google play sound search...i dont remember is it made by djoliver or ih8ra!n...try searching for it...maybe its named google ears...
Hit that "THANKS" button if i helped you...

Nope. It will not work (saying without checking it).
But you can always backup the things and check anything.

Tip how make Gmaps usable
anyone got an issue with new gmaps on CM7 stable or nightly. The best way we can do is delete data and uninstal gmaps ten download attached apk and instal it. (then don't upgrade) leave at this version.
Is the older version of Gmaps 5.0 but works well on CM7 or other Gbreed roms.
Your choice to use the newest one with font issue and laggy or use older without all features that have new version but work smooth and fonts are clear.
I hope that help some users.
Sorry for my bad english.
Good info really.
Font is very clear and even the scrolling is very good. This should be the temporary option for those who worry about Google maps.

Thank you very much, you're a life saver.
I use google maps on a daily basis.
Using the old version of the maps does it. Thanks for the suggestion and attached file.

What features is lost in this version compared with new one? Is map cache available in this version?
Did anyone check the maps font issue in 2.2 sense custom roms. I think it was there in sense roms too. Just checked a sense rom.
Maps font issue maybe not the issue with cm7 as everyone is thinking.

I reinstalled the stock rom and am on the latest maps and I don't have any issues with the fonts.

The best way to make Gmaps clear ans usefull on CM7 is faind a way how we can extract Gmaps from stock rom and create .APK
If anyone can do this Gmaps will work well on newest version
the difference name of file is on CM 7 5.6.0 gmm-android-google on 2.2 stock is 5.6.0 gmm-android-htc probably if we got 5.6.0 gmm-android-htc then if we update to newest version we got a tweaked version by htc to work well on low resolution screens.
I'm interesting the problem occurs in othert low res android device like motorola flipout and some others

Answering my own question: no, this gmaps doesn't have map cache. Its too old.
I think that the problem with the fonts is related with 3D buildings on maps. Maybe this is the cause of lags on scroll, too.
I dont need 3D buildings, because I dont see any reason to it, but map cache is important to me. I'll try to find an intermediate version with cache and without 3d, and lets see...
Edit: My bad. 5.0 already have 3d buildings and cache also. Maybe its related with screen size.
I tried to install the older version of google maps but I don't manage to make it work. After I installed it the application stopped unexpectedly.
What can I do ?
EDIT:
I solved it, something strange (at least for me) happened, I was unable to uninstall the previous version 5.8 even with root uninstaller. I then browse with file manager in system/app and try to delete the map file but some problem can't delete it. Then I installed Titanium Backup and converted google maps into an app, moved it to SD and then uninstall it with success. I install the 5.0 and now I have a smooth app
maybe this will help somebody.

Workaround: Sleeper ROM Google Search widget broken

I installed the Sleeper ROM today and the Google search widget was broken. When you click on it it flickers and does nothing else. I know other people had the problem.
I uninstalled the Google Search app and immediately reinstalled it. I re-created the widget (which was deleted by the uninstall) and it now works fine.
Newb trying to help...
Good work! Mine had the same issue, this fixed it.
Thanks - trying to help while I learn
And now I have had quick feedback from the ROM author, SenseiSimple. The problem should be fixed in 1.0.07a. With such quick support, and such a functional ROM, I have to recommend this ROM to anyone who wants a near-stock experience.
I just installed the update and the Google search widget is indeed fixed.
Just to confirm: this is fixed in the 1.0.07a version of the ROM.

Google Now Issues

Before updating KitKat beta and flashing Gaps i used Google Now without any issues, but after that Google Now stopped working. I tried everything to make it work and just doesn't work.
I updated to OmniRom and still the same issues, if anyone has any ideas or advice on how to make it work pls share them.
Also i read somewhere that installing the default Google Search app found in B111 fixes Google Now.
If anyone is running B111 and is willing to help pls go to Settings - Apps - Google Search - Uninstall updates and than upload the Google Search app.
Thx in advance
Uninstall Google Search and reinstall it, should work.
