I did some searching and didn't really fund what I was looking for. Most only seem to touch on boosting music volume.
I'm looking for something to boost the speaker volume for everything. Notifications, ringtones and when using speaker phone. Does anyone know of an app or something I can flash? I'm using Freeza stock rooted deodex 4.1.2 rom.

Hi, I just found this and went with flashing it on GummyNex ROM.
It works well. Better and cleaner than vol+ apps in my opinion.
Credit goes to CyanogenMod and RootzWiki teams. I'm just letting users know about it and requesting ROM creators to include this in their builds. Thanks

just flashed it on AOKP build 14 ... and seems working fine ... THANKS
beamed in through my brain ...
To those who have tried, does this boost only the media/music volume? My ringtones seem to play at the same volume. Thanks.
Im using paid version oferece Volume+, it is working very well with ringtone.

Thank you very much
Can someone please explain how to turn up in call volume and external speaker volume (speaker phone, notifications, etc) using DSP manager. I have been using Volume + pro but figured I would also try out DSP
Thanks
My Settings:
Enable Bass Boost
Effect Strength: Extreme
Enable Equalizer
Preset: Bass Booster
Can I flash this with a rooted Stock Rom? Volume+ doesn't seem to work here.

Very good find. Working on AOKP 14.
Hi,
I use Volume+ (pro).
I wanted to test ...Nothing for me for notifications and ringtones...
I flashed your ZIP and of course before i uninstalled Volume+ due to incompatibility between the two.
For me no improvement for notifications and ringtones, light for music/media for speaker (not bad). And i searched for best settings...
What i mean, those who say that Volume+ does not work would not be to bad to bad settings???
Volume+ offers much settings, that may need to be tested...For both my Sensation and Gnex i uses this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362335 (there are other settings arround the web,but those are good for me)+ i ticked Speaker Modifications in the first part and Virtual Room Effect,in the last part just adjust the Volume Level for your desire...and it works for all the sounds coming out of speakers and, yes, included the ringtones,etc...
For me,aokp rom,Volume+ works great.
For example on my HTC Sensation with CM7 i never heard an improvement in ringtones (comes with DspManager) but with Volume+ i see the difference...
So,sorry for the little off-topic (i know it's not the topic of Volume+),but since I just test your ZIP i give my opinion about it...
In any case i do not understand why Volume + does not work for everyone (ringtones/notifications) ,problems in settings
And why DspManager works for a few for ringtones/notifications and not for the others
And "vice versa"
Strange for me

Same question. I haven't (yet) flashed any ROMs, still using stock, but rooted.
Completely agree that DSP manager is better than volume +. I've gotten far better results

I agree I use Volume+ Pro too and prefer it. That is weird though...
Thank you!
Works amazing on AOPK 14
very nice and loud oh yeaaahhhh
I thought DSP manager effected all apps? Only music 4.0 is getting the audio changed by dsp manager. No change using uber music.

Make sure you go into Settings, then Sound and click Music Effects. You will then choose "Volume+" instead of the stock "MusicFX". I tried Volume+ and it didn't work until I did this. I hope this helps anyone else having a problem with Volume+.
Hi everybody...
Please, don't tell me that this question was asked many times... i searched and searched in google. but i couldn't find any good solution to this problem...
I have Stock Jelly bean Rom..
I only want to improve volume of ringtones (i'm not so much interested in app volume) how can i do this?!?
Is it possibile to do without Root/unlocking-bootloader/busybox/kernel? if not, what i have to do? I already have Unlocked bootloader, root and busybox but stock kernel... (i'm thinking to shift to franco or derkernel)
Try Volume+, it works well for me.

tried also, but doesn't work! how is possible that to you works? do you have JB? what rom or kernel? it works also in ringtones?
is there any voodoo sound rom/kernel for TW roms?
im using carbon rom and voodoo sound is a MAJOR improvement in sound but i miss touchwiz
Use this kernel--it uses scooby doo sound which is basically a port of voodoo. No diff to my ears. You do need to set the stweaks to use DAC direct and preamp volume etc.

It does and I actually ran it for a couple of days. There was no difference in SQ to the scooby doo tweaks and I could not get the headset buttons to work. I use headset button controller and tasker to adjust the preamp DAC levels for fine volume control-so I went back to a stock rooted ROM with custom kernel.

I wanted to know if its possible yet to tweak the sound on an AOKP or Cyanogen Mod 4.2.2 ROM to make it louder?
I like those better than Touch Wiz but I cant stand how the sound isn't as loud as TW.
Is this something that will never happen or is it a possibility?
If needed, I can try to work on it but I have no clue where to begin.
I wouldn't mind testing it out.
Let me know. Thanks!
There are apps to amplify volume if you really need it, but the volume has been fine on AOSP ROMs ever since dastin came around with 4.2

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO: This mod will let you increase your device volume up some more pretty loudly without the need for you to install any apk file or adding other sound mods into your rom.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
*Just Flash It Using Any Custom Recovery And That's It!

Thank you!
Thank you so much jovy23!!! Best Mod on XDA for us audiophiles!!! 4.4.2 is truly finally here now!!
very nice , thanks this mod makes my beats headphones worth 300 bucks
sweet! i couldn't get the headphone to work but you did it broski!~
Your the man always on Point.................:good:
I'm running Ax's Vision X N3 NB7 Rom using your lite moderate mod and Viper. After about an hour of high volume listening on my headphones the volume automatically goes all the way down by itself. If i turn it back up it will automatically go back down again every few minutes until I reboot. It did this running Wicked Rom with the previous lite moderate mod and Viper also. Its not a big deal at all I was just wondering if anyone else has this trouble or could it just be something to do with my phone? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

New bootloader makes no difference. Its simply the mixer_paths.xml in /system/etc. You change the RX7 digital volume numbers. Easy peasy.
Everything is flawless except for call audio being a bit lower than normal

You can use this mod. For what works and for the in call volume there are kernels that boost headphone and headset volumes . I was on headset one morning when I woke and thought it was speaker phone thats how good it works .
The Demon Galaxy!
Thanks for this. Sounds great with Viper
