Hello,
Due to what I am fairly certain is a hardware fault I need to downgrade and restore the T-Mobile software on my phone.
My current setup:
HTC One X
ROM: Android Revolution HD 19.2
Android: 4.1.1
Kernal: 3.1.10-g03b5369 [email protected] # 1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband: 5.1204.162.29
I don't have a nandroid backup (I know I know) so can anyone advise me on the course of action I can take?
Thanks
Can you do a fastboot command for me ?

Yes ! Download here

The 2.17.110 nandroid backup, restore that completely and check if the touchscreen works when you booted it up. I know 3.18 builds have problems with that. Not sure about the 3.16 so lets try
When it works you flash back the stock 2.17 recovery and you can update again with official ota.
If the touchscreen does not work we have to find another way
Thanks so far Mr Hofs!
Downloading the nandroid now. Will report back - where can I download that stock recovery and the OTA too just so I can prepare them?
Thanks!
Here
http://db.tt/U5CK4noo
I hope the screen works
The ota is done from inside the phone's settings menu ....
Hi,
I have restored the backup and attempted to reboot and am stuck on the htc One boot streen.
I have not restored the stock recovery or relocked yet?
Any advice?
Thanks
Take the boot.img from that backup folder and flash it using fastboot.

The touchscreen works perfectly, stock recovery installed, relocked the bootloader and restarted again - thats me up and running ready for the send back to T-Mobile!!!
Great help as usual from XDA!

Hmmm.... The OTA to 4.1.1 has downloaded, went to install and it rebooted the phone to fastboot mode. Shows Relocked and Security Warning at the top?
Nothing happening... restart the phone and it shows the update as ready to install.
Any advice?
Thanks

Yeah I did! I flashed the stock recovery and then relocked.
Uhm....put the phone in the bootloader and erase cache
Fastboot erase cache
If the command fails ....unlock the bootloader. You can update with an unlocked bootloader. Do it at the very end. First we must get to JB
Unlocked the bootloader again and it seems to be doing the update now.
Once I have carried out all the available OTAs then I can relock then yes?
Thanks
Yes sir
Thats It!
Thanks again!
So its safe to say.......

I'm his friend, here's the details of his phone:
Code:
HTC One X internation version
cid: TELNZ001
version-main: 1.26.781.2
hboot: 0.43.0000
Clockworkmod: 5.8.4.0 [Removed Now]
The main question is whether we can actually update it to the official Telecom Jellybean, after rooting and unrooting it?
We tried updating it to Cyanogenmod 10.1 Jellybean before but it didn't work because the hboot version was too low and there was no support for the TELNZ001 cid. We had to download and use someone else's Clockworkmod restore to get the phone to work again (because we forgot to create a backup before trying the new ROM)
Well use this file to go back to full stock
http://bugsylawson.com/index.php/fi...812-radio-112049013-release-251287-signedexe/
Put the phone in the bootloader and relock it.
Fastboot oem lock
After the command you keep the phone in relocked state in the bootloader, then run the ruu with admin rights.
Right click the ruu and select "run as administrator"
This will bring the phone back to full stock and you should be able to update with official ota.

Okay, downloaded the file and successfully went back to full stock.
Now I have to manually download the jellybean update and because I am behind the university proxy and it does not work on my phone. I had to download the JB update and then transfer it to my phone and then went to recovery mode and then went "Apply update from external storage".
I downloaded the JellyBean update here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37485046&postcount=37
Here's a photo of what I get.

At least the 1.29. The 3.14 is not going to work because of your low hboot. If you want to be certain you need to do a fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
When the number matches your are good to go

Yep with a ruu you lose everything, but on the otherhand it will be 100% stock. You can make backups with titanium backup or carbon .....
Edit : with a nandroid backup you will also loose everything because you must make a full wipe before restoring a nandroid backup.

I guess it happens because you are rooted. Use voodoo rootkeeper from the Play Store.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Nope root is not the issue, you can actually update a rooted phone as long as its stock and didn't touch the system.
You will automatically lose root after the update

Hard to say. Just make a backup with titanium or carbon and run the ruu, easier and faster. You could be searching for days to find out what is wrong exactly

mmmh, cmw backs up the entire rom not only the apps... so if you want to restore that backup be sure to full wipe the phone and then flash it
You can try this :
Unlock, flash the custom recovery....use this one
http://db.tt/oGDkMlwc it has ums + touch on the latest bases !
Then make a nandroid backup ..... format data and then restore the data from the older backup.....only the data, you can choose it with advanced restore options !
This way only the data, like apps will be restored to the new 3.20 based stock rom. Of it doesn't work you can go back to the clean stock nandroid backup.
Hi, I'm trying to restore my phone back to stock firmware with the ability to update through the usual HTC update route (directly on the phone). you don't to be locked to receive ota, you need stock rom, stock boot.img and stock recovery and also to be unrooted as you already know. so unlock bootloader again and flash the 3.14 stock recovery then make sure there are no su files left in your system/bin or system/xbin folders
