I wonder, is anyone using YouTube hd hack from xda user theos0o?
I can't get it to work on Desire, and I think it's more then capable running 720p videos.
I tried it on few roms and kernels and no luck, any help?
The hd youtube does work I use it myself but you need to be using a rom thats able to do hardware playback like the stock rom.

Hi there,
does anyone experience problems with HD video recording and playback? Just tried it in good light during daytime, but it seams as if the recording stucks and hangs... Not so nice. Using stock Rom and original camcorder app.
Thanks a bunch!

I know that netflix works flawlessly on stock roms and Virtuous Fusion, but does anyone know if it works on a rom or kernel that can be overclocked?

Works fine on stock Desire Z ROM (1.34) with Godspeed kernel.
I knew there would be an xda about this.... I'm on CM7 and it seems perfect until I try to play video then there's only sound. Anyone else? Is there a work around?

Some claim it works on CM7 RC2.
Works on over clocked CM6.1.1, didn't work on CM7.0.0, so I'm back on CM6

So having a stock kernel makes absolutely no difference in terms of working netflix... interesting. What do you guys suppose netflix checks then? DRM?

I'd be interested to know what conditions need to exist for netflix to work, as I just read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074391&page=16
and installed the unofficial 'official' 2.3
Netflix looks like it works until I try to play a movie, I just get sound with a blank white screen.
Has anyone been able to get the video function stable?

Playback or recording? Because camera doesn't work in cm7.

Playback. I can't get any hardware codecs to work. But software codecs work like a charm. Only problem is..there's really no apps that will play urls with software codecs...none that I have tried.
Each time I try to play a youtube video I get that this video is unplayable error

Oh ok well I can suggest another app from Google Play, Quik Pic, better than standard gallery imo. See if it comes up in there.
Thanks man! This solve my problem, now I have to understand why stock camera app crash when I try to record a video!
