[Q] CM 10.1 headphones problem - LG Optimus Me P350

i've just flashed the RC5 build of CM10.1. it's quite stable and almost as fast as CM7.
however when i was checking the features i found a problem with audio playback - the sound playing through the headphones is mono. it's the same in youtube, android music and every other app. i checked that with 3 different pairs of headphones with the same result.
i've also tried wiping user data and reflashing the rom.
i believe the same issue was present when i was testing CM9 some time ago.
has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?

In CM9, as far as I remember, it was solved by adding SRS to the rom...

[Q] Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP) Skips

I'm trying to see if others are experiencing the same issue as me. I only recently starting rooting my phone and although I'm pleased with most of the features of CM - one feature that does not work correctly is streaming music over bluetooth (A2DP).
Prior to rooting, my stock HTC EVO 4G worked great with bluetooth audio streaming through my car stereo. No skips ever - usually I stream either Pandora or TuneIn Radio.
Now that I have rooted I get frequent blips/skips in my music when listening over bluetooth.
I've tried the following Rom/kernel combinations:
update-cm-7.1.0-Supersonic-signed.zip - with included kernel
update-cm-7.1.0-Supersonic-signed.zip - with Tiamat_Evo-v4.1.0
update-cm-9-20120226-NIGHTLY-tf201-signed.zip - with included kernel
All have the same issue. I've ensured that I wiped Dalvik cache, cache and data each time I flashed a new rom.
I really like CM7 except for this one fact and for me its a deal breaker. So before I try other roms I was wondering if there is anything else I could try or if anyone else has this same problem.
I am thinking of posting a video of what happens and comparing it to a stock EVO (since my fiance has the same phone I could do this side by side).
Any ideas?

[Q] CM10.1 Bluetooth audio problem

I just flashed the M snapshot of CM10.1. I have it connect to my car Bluetooth. Phone part works fine. It's when I try to play music through the Bluetooth when I start to get problems. The sound will be blown out and fuzzy. After about 1-2 minutes, it will have this problem where I can only best described as " skipping" sound (similar to when a CD would skip). Sound drops out every second alternating with music. Sorry, that's the best I can describe it. I have had issues with poor Bluetooth audio (although different from this problem) before when I was using CM10, but then it seemed to be fixed in the early nightlies of CM10.1. The last one that worked fine was 12/24/2012. Wondering if anyone else has this problem and/or has a fix. Figured I would ask before reverting back to that last nightly that worked great.

This is a well known bug. It turns out that Google acknowledged it in 4.2.1 and is therefore not the fault of the CM team. CM10.1 had it last working in the 12-26 build before all the 4.2 changes were fully merged.

I'm surprised bug hasn't been squashed already then if it's a 4.2 problem. I guess I'll have to use aux cable for now. I guess the reason I assumed it was a CM problem was that I also had Bluetooth audio issues with CM10 builds. Thanks for the response.
you have three options for 4.2.1 and working ad2p
1. the unofficial cm10.1 1/22 build
2. the unofficial aokp 2/21 build
3. the official cm10.1 12/26 build
In having tried both, the performance (everything is smooth as butter) is much better on 2 and 1 is pretty much stock cm10.1. aokp and cm have slightly different customization options, but cm10.1 has specific LED controls that I need so I am sticking with it for now.

[Q] Bluetooth Issues

I've seen this issue across multiple JellyBean ROMs - wondering if anyone know of a solution/workaround:
If I'm listening to music on my bluetooth headphones, and a call comes in while the music is playing, the music is diverted to the handset's speaker until I answer or ignore the call. This isn't good (especially if I'm in a library).
I've experienced this on both AOKP and CM10 ROMs and doesn't matter which audio app I'm running.
If anyone has also experienced this and/or knows how to cure it, I'm all ears.
This is XDA!!!

Thy cure is obvious fellow friend, thou must flash a new ROM until you hast successfully defeated thy enemy!
Android 4.2.2 Bug
I filed a bug on this issue as it happens on every 4.2.2 ROM I've tried.

Not quite the same issue, but may help.
Was having bluetooth crashes for months using CM 10.1 on a T989 (no custom kernels)
Would crash anytime I tried to connect to car BT audio, or would simply not start up.
Flashed this yesterday.... and no crashes!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174100
For flash: Wiped dalvik/cache, flashed, fix permissions, reboot, start BT, deleted all devices, re-add.
No BT crashing of any sort for 36 hours now.

Buzzer while watching a video or listening to music

Hey guys,
So i'm a long time rooter, and such so i've done some of my m own trouble shooting for this issue on my own, to no avail.
My issue is while, i'm either watching a video, or listening to music, if i'm doing anything with the tablet at all, such as checking Facebook, Emails playing a game, and what not, Quite frequently, I will hear a loud buzzer type sound, and the song / video will freeze for the duration of the buzzer.
I'm currently on ASOB 1.3.1, and I started noticing this from 1.2.9 when i first installed the ROM.
So far what i've done for trouble shooting... I've done a full power cycle of my device, I've wiped data, cache, dalvik, and system when i've upgraded version of the ROM.
The only thing that i can think of that would be affecting this would be the DSP Manager. Though this issue has never happened to me in the past with previous roms that had dsp manager, and i utilized the same or very similar settings in dsp manager across the board.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Thanks!
I've been having the same problem on cm11 snapshot. It used to freeze but now the video glitches for a second along with a buzz. I also had this problem on Omni rom as well. Happens on any video playback on YouTube or any media player.
^Ditch the snapshot the fix has been around since the 2/12 nightly. Update.
Glitch kernel also fixes the problem.

[Q] Crackling audio with KitKat

I recently updated to the deodexed stock kitkat rom with kt747 kernel. Everything is running fine except audio files in every program but poweramp have major crackling/static issues. The audio files play fine on my computer, it happens both over headphones and through phone's speaker. I use poweramp for all of my music but am really missing being able to use pocketcasts. Audio in youtube app also works fine. I have tried a factory reset and am at a loss for what else I can try to fix the problem. If anyone has any advice or tips or is experiencing a similar problem I would be very grateful to hear from you.
I think that the DSP doesn't process it right with a KK kernel although I do not have issues on stock kk ......have you tried a different audio processor like DSP manager or viper4android etc....?
Tried both of those and it didn't seem to help. Oddly enough I had one podcast today that I was able to play through pocketcasts without audio issues, but all the rest of my podcasts were ****ed up.
Well try a different kernel.....I read reports that some kernels don't provide enough power to the DAC and so it can cause crackling
