The rom has been removed from XDA but it is available on some blogs
I have used the ROM for a while but it was causing some problems so i flashed back to stock
I have seen at least two galaxy y's bricked because of this ROM
My friends sgy running nemesis one got bricked. I pulled out battery and reinserted
Phone turned on automatically and got boot loops
I removed battery and pressed the combo for recovery and pushed the battery back
The phone rebooted during data reset and boot loops again
Same in download mode when i tried to flash stock rom on it
It maybe noted that the phone rebooted in stock recovery instead of CWM though my friend was using Hells fusion kernel
My other friends galaxy y was running savies kernel and had same kind of brick
Both the phones were sent for warranty claim
Therefore, I advise that please do not flash this rom and if you are using it, please change it to avoid any possible damage
Thank you.

First of all a Rom cant brick a phone to such an extent that it needs to be sent for servicing. You should have talked on bricked your phone thread before sending it. These problems arise on all roms when you don't flash them properly and its nothing to worry about

I guess I totally agreed to this, I soft-bricked my son's phone's twice because of this ROM...stood up late up to 5AM getting it to back to boot...it could not boot to Recovery ...flashed stock ROM over a number of times = failed.
Managed to have found the right FW and restored it....Phew !:good:
This rom is bad and buggy full of warez and kanged stuff
I flashed it and used it for a month but now I am on remix v2
It bricked my friend phone and he was on stock ROM

Well read this carefully...
If u think it bricked ur phone then y did u even flash it...
Didn't u read the line that clearly states "by flashing this rom, dev. Supported or xda or whatever site he is using is nt responsible for it.."

Hey u u such a noob please close this thread..
If u dont know how to handle or troubleshoot a brick phone then never use any of custom rom for ur device.. Or otherwise u always keep flaming the other dev if you did something rong in intallation...
And did u read the instruction carefully all dev allways put this line in thier work...
"flashing kernel/rom/mod ect ect. may brick ur phone"" and dev will not take the responsibility for it
And n the first place when u dicide to flash a rom . You should accept that u may brick ur phone

As another member already mentioned, it's always possible to have problems with a ROM if proper procedures are not followed. If there was an inherent problem with the ROM causing bricks, then everybody would be having difficulties with it. Based on what I've read in this thread, that does not seem to be the case and this thread only serves to scare people unnecessarily.
As a development site, you are first a tester before you are a user when you flash a ROM. You take your chances and hope for the best, but it's up to you to have the upfront knowledge to recover your device when things do go wrong.

So i tried to update my AOKP with just using my phone. And after the reboot.. nothing happened. So i did a battery pull and now when I turn on my baby the led goes blue and stays there.. frozen. No access to recovery or download.

When you updated AOKP you flashed the EL26 CWM kernel as per the instructions in all AOSP roms up until now? Both the recovery in AOKP 37 and the Zip for AOKP 39 (as far as I am aware) are not safe to flash in ICS Recovery.
BLoD is a sign that the bootloader is borked. Normally this is something fixable via JTAG. But it is also caused at Random by the Super Brick bug which can not be fixed. Sounds like you flashed not only an unsafe Zip but in an unsafe recovery and if you tell me you factory reset that would be even worse.
Our phone has a bug in its eMMC firmware which needs to be patched. All of the former ICS leaks have had kernels that can trigger it and last i checked only the Nighlies for CM9 have a safe updater binary used in conjunction with a made safe recovery are generally safe to flash from ICS. Which is exactly why the threads tell you to use the EL26 CWM kernel which if mobile can be flashed via mobile odin. Failure to do so will eventually at random trigger the bug.
Blue LED and not able to get phone into Odin mode = Hard Brick
another one bites the dust......i just don't know how the directions could be any more clear on flashing ICS ROM's. Maybe we need a sticky in every forum in bold letters that says:
"READ ME BEFORE FLASHING!"
I read the warnings and all that jazz. It was just a bad download thanks to the 4G. Mistakes happen. Relax @ above poster.

I agree with Rican Bomba... Not everyone is a Android hacking Guru. We are all trying to learn here. I bricked my phone and i did follow QBking77's instructions (Who i believe to be the best at explaining things thoroughly in his videos) yet, there are so many post that aren't clear. I had force closes like crazy on AOKP and before i found the one poster that said don't wipe in ICS... I had done it and lights out R.I.P. First E4GT. I have flashed way too many times to count without incident. Some posters put more info on how not to brick than others. I followed QBking's method to a tee and something was still wrong... I don't blame him (He makes things crystal clear and is great at what he does), things happened and that was that. I learned something from a poster who was very clear and i won't make the mistake again (not to mention I'm leaving AOKP alone lol). Take it easy on these guys, they will learn soon with a little friendly direction

Long story short.... I wanted to change the recovery for another and didnt notice i was reading the galaxy nexus post and BAM!
Today I sent my phone to the Samsung repair center, they told it was on warranty so i packed and now its on it's way.
Has anybody here use their service ? what can you tell me abou it. Thanks in advance.
They may deny your warranty if they can tell it was modified. I had to previously send my gf's phone in for screen repair and I made sure to bring it back to stock / reset counter.
In their notes they mentioned "phone unmodified". Overall though they're pretty good about it, they included 2 day shipping to and from for free. Took about 5 days (4 days of shipping).
Thanks for your answer, the thing is there was no way to reset the counter or bring it back to stock, it died in a second. So, how much will they charge me in that case ?
You'll be fine. From what I understand, after its revived they can tell it was modified but they'll still send it back no charge. They still will treat it like a mgr's defect
Thanks, that will make my life a bit easier.

Again, it was like a blackout, i didn't know(and for some stupid reason i was fast reading) that flashing a wrong recovery could damage my phone so badly, so there was nothing to do.
My phone was like 2 weeks old and i bough it like new on ebay, from a nice seller, he never rooted or installed custom rom. Me, I only rooted and debloated but never installed custom rom, i was about to, but then it happened....
Question!
Does the binary counter, reads the number of times a rom was flashed ok ? but what if only rooted and didn't installed a Custom ROM ?

The counter reads if the phone was flashed with an unofficial rom (Samsung/att official will not set this counter off). billard412 is probably right, they'll most likely fix it and pass it off. Worst case scenario they void your warranty after the repair, though I've never seen/read it actually happening to anyone.

The whole process is pretty simple on what I have done. I will explain my situation here and my question that has got be baffled.
So it all started about two weeks ago, where I was flashing LiquidSmooth on my phone. I had a Touch-type CWM. It isn't mega old but it's pretty old for CWM, I haven't updated in a while (as i've seen there are updates to recent ones).
Anywho, I did a complete wipe, used the darkside wipe, alongside with the darkside cache wipe.
I think this was my fault, so please correct me anyone if I am wrong here. I accidentally hit "reboot phone" instead of "reboot bootloader"
I got a permabrick from this whole ordeal. It was a permabrick because It said QHSUSB_DLOAD in the device manager, looking this up further confirmed my reasoning. I didn't want to jtag because that invovles removing the phone to pieces and soldering on wires etc. etc.
So I resorted to send it out to Samsung.
All is well when it came back. I made sure this time the whole phone was setup properly.
So I use Odin install for CWM and SU was installed via CWM. I install an older version of CWM (non-touch, i believe 1st revision as i've posted in one of the threads).
I kept stock ROM, everything was working okay and suddenly, KERPLUNK, it went back into permanent brick after I deleted cache partition, dalvik cache, and battery cache wipe. I didn't do fix permissions or anything, just hit reboot afterwards.
This is a super head scratcher here..... Anyone know where I went wrong?
Any insight here is greatly appreciated! :good:
P.S. I am now sending in my phone TWICE to Samsung for repairs.
If you are on the most up to date CWM, do not use the scripts. They are no longer needed, and will cause problems( hard brick though, never heard of) The second time, im stumped. I suggest go to TWRP and ditch the scripts. Latest TWRP does not need it

I've flashed the hercules ROM. I know this for sure because Liquidsmooth was working, it was extremely glitchy (playing games gave me pixelated actions sometimes, and using something like gameCIH/Game Guardian was unworkable). So i decided to ditch it and was getting ready to flash Jedi Mind Trick.
After the whole hard bricking ordeal, I decided to stick to stock rom, and even on that, I just flashed CWM and SU ONLY. Rebooted, and deleted the cache's (like i've posted to you) with absolutely no success. It baffled me that I bricked the phone AGAIN too!

Yes..... there is something wrong, i feel it is a user error also, but i'm very unsure where to even start

Yes, it is perma-bricked, meaning the only method of fixing the brick is jtagg'ing
Upon plugging it into device manager, I get the prompt "QHSUSB_DLOAD" and phone doesn't even boot on no matter what combinations I make.

I have this phone, and none of the steps you listed would brick the device. Even with no ROM on the phone, you should still be able to get into recovery.

Nope, wouldn't be a reason why I would lie because then the problem will never be resolved.... I'm kind of nervous on reflashing ONE more time after the phone comes home again....
The phone has been fixed once AGAIN, and it is in the process of being shipped back to me.
Phone will be home Wednesday and I will give it ONE more try
Wish me luck!
P.S. my PC has been glitchy lately, so that MAY or MAY NOT contribute to the permabrick, then again the brick doesn't happen until I flash stuff via CWM.
P.S.S. I've since re-installed Win 7 again, it hasn't been glitchy since

You most likely flashed the Wrong Liquidsmooth ROM (incompatible Kernel), and it hard bricked the phone. It happened to me the same way, and I had to send it in for JTAG.
I have bricked my phone installing the Liquidsmooth ROM too. I downloaded the wrong ROM, though. The thread should have a big ****in warning to double check the ROM you are about to download, otherwise your phone is a toast. There were more people who bricked their phones by installing the Liquidsmooth.
Well, I got it back from the warranty and the phone looks good. Installed that Liquidsmooth again and played for a day. Tried other JB ROMs. Most of them are OK in terms of battery life and smoothness, but there is something wrong with the signal. People always say my voice isn't clear. I got tired of all this BS and testing new ROMs and went to back to ICS and won't look back, not anytime.
Don't use darkside scripts, btw. You don't need that anymore.
I'd like to say thank you for everyone's patience. All of your insight is more than helpful!

I might have, but the one i downloaded (which is still on the phone's memory card) is a hercules ROM. Either way on my second try there was a hard brick also, in return of which I had to resend it in. The second try was just simply: Odin---->CWM---->Root---->SU---->wipe cache partition+fix permissions+wipe dalvik cache via CWM (not the super scripts).

I was able to get Clockworkmod (custom recovery) flashed with odin though. When flashing the stock rom i got a bootloop. IF you get a bootloop, try flashing clockworkmod with odin and installing a rom through clockworkmod. Good luck and happy flashing

Pressing thank will be more appreciated rather than posting it
And for your answer just look in this thread, there are a flashable zip file for easy use. And link to find stock rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33205786
And remember read all the instructions CAREFULLY if you are new to this to reduce the chance of brick
Brick: there are 2 kinds of brick
A) soft brick: a situation where your phone cannot enter
the home screen / boot
Solution: flash stock rom via odin / restore backup
B) hard brick: a situation where your phone cannot boot
at all, can be caused by hardware failures, etc
Solution: bring it to SCC to be repaired.
For how to flash using ODIN try and read in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21875819
In that thread he provide some stock rom to use too, and give him a proper thanks if that thread helps you.
Hope this helps and answers your question. If it is then pressing thank will be much appreciated

brick means when you ruin your phone making it as worthless as a brick. Usually things which are tested and those which user "the-e" post wont brick your phone. There are two types of bricks, soft brick and hard brick meaning that soft brick can be brought to life easier than Hard brick.
Regarding "driver not found" have you installed kies on your computer? this might help. Also maybe you need to enable USB mass storage from your phone when you are connected too; im not sure but these might help you.
I found the problem happening to me.
You need to go Pristine.
About how check the General Section.
Fragments of data will remain in phone causing failures of certain installation of apps.
And CM10 camera is working. There's just one small bug which does not affect of taken picture AT ALL.
My CM9 is working fine. All apps I failed to install before is now fine after going Pristine. Cheers! :victory:

I have tried CM9b4...
NICE, COOL! but TO BAD. some apps always error in installation,
such as facebook, google map, horoscope, and others...
Also, i cant play Modern Combat Sandstrom!
Thats really really DISSAPOINTED.
Cm10alpha3, never tried it, cuz, Camera not work...
If u know a good mod for gaming + no bug + all apps compatible in play store,
please write here...
and 1 more question, is there any way to restore rom?
I thnk it's better if my galaxy w return to normal (Gingerbread 2.3.6) than using MOD ROM which not working on some apps.

edit:

(((dear developer,
I have a
Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch
This device completely stopped working and no longer capable of being opened again at that time ,later i went to the engineer in charge who did a " ........ " which it returned to work as it was .
after that, i started to download files from network , and during the downloading,it suddenly stopped again. I returned it to the engineer to fix the problem that occurred during loading . he fixed it , but this time when I wanted to use it , I discovered that the " logo" is for another device , namely Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II , not mine 1
I think that my device were charged with " bootloader " Other than that allotted to mine!
Now , the device works with me naturally , but I am having some problems which are as follows :
1 - its not capable to charge when it is off , and it appears to me that it fails every time i try to link it to its charger ! It then goes on to state the case for the recovery mode each time , and then I restart it which goes back to work as usual.
2 - I noticed a difference between the previous state and now in terms of the quality of the work and also problems in charging .
NB:i downloaded a new "Karnel" and and " Bootloader " but that did not work too !
After all what i have wrote to you dear, I want to know ,am i gonna be able to reload the " Flash " without needing "Riff box" ,
Any directly from my computer ?
What if i kept it on its current status , is there any damage to my device now or later? ?
i really need your help ,
Thank you ))))
My advice is to read up really good on PC Odin, and how to flash using it. Then flash a stock, unrooted rom to get you 100% back to where you started. Good luck!

Hey buddy... I'm going to jump in on this, even though JD is the Man. I just don't want you to brick you're device.
Don't download a rom not made for this device ( epic 4g touch ). That is what has put you in this position to begin with. Go to rwilco12's repo. Its in the epic 4g touch forum and go to Android development. Then pick stock roms. Read...read... read. :good:
If you picked the sph - L710...because you saw JD was running that.... consider this.. not everybody who is in here helping, is still running an epic 4g touch anymore. If I'm not mistaken... JD is running an S3 from boost mobile. That is probably why it says L710..I'm not positive. But I am positive that you need to use the roms for this specific device or you're going to brick. It's a miracle you haven't already.
Ask youre buddy if he flashed a bootloader... because I think he did and if that's the case you need to get the epic 4g touch one back.. should be as easy as using Odin and flashing a one click... I'm not positive... but I think this devices bootloader is all tied up in the one clicks... but look around and make sure. You might have to Odin a bootloader first. I'm just not sure as I've never looked into it, but from what I ( think ) I know. Because of this devices kernel/recovery issue. The bootloader is different than most devices and might be all tied together.
I'm sure JD will pop in later after he gets free and let us both know for sure...
Thanks @Gil81. And OP, you may want to thank him as well, because if you had flashed L710 you world have surely bricked. I have moved on to the Galaxy S3(L710), but as Gil can attest to, I was on this phone for a few days . And as usual, he isn't steering you wrong. Download the Samsung drivers to your pc and Pc Odin, then the stock tar of your choice(sph-d710), located here:
http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...(SPH-D710)/Stock ROMs/JB/GB27/No Data Restore
You can find full restore, no data restore, rooted, unrooted, your call. Read, read, read, before you mess with odin. Then when you're ready, flash the Odin tar, reboot, profit. Good luck, and thanks Gil, good seeing you again bro.
