AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for many Android devices. The name is a play on the word “kang” and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns
This an other ported rom by me, but again the thanks go to keyur2maru for his helpful guide about port roms, and PecanCM for his help to me and all other pecan team for their works and paches!
What working?
Everything!

About battery i don't remember but it is good maybe two days and up and about ram on kernel 2.6.32.x ~100mb on 2.6.35.x ~85 on 3.0.x ~65
Today I flashed the ROM and it's completely unusable
I flashed the ROM normally via Recovery (Flashing .zip & complete wipe)
When It finally booted, I went to enter the PIN but then I got popup window saying that "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." and phone froze.
I flashed Stable #3
ROM is fluid but has problems with vsync.

WOW You've been busy. lol
Thanks for all the effort you have put in.
As already stated: wow! You're on a roll! Thanks a lot for sharing everything with the community.
Can we hope for an Everest version of this as well?

Dude seriously? This is way beyond awesome :victory:
I bet you are having longer new year holiday for this Waiting for the Everest as well
For the user, what is the difference of KitKat Omni and CM in this device?
Hmm what the !!, I thought CM was dead for Xoom??Big round of applause for you all, especially from us Everesters...

Really eager to try this on my Everest. As asked above, difference of user experience between CM and Omni?
Once again, a big round of applause for you Schischu!

sadly, it isn't updating its "FAILING" error executing updater binary, ooops I think it bricked
Try redownloading the rom.
There was an error on the server which caused all files downloaded earlier today to be invalid.
And the md5sum is also invalid, so dont copy it to your device.
Which gapps do i need to download by the way?
I've managed to successfully install the ROM and have found the following issues -
Not sure what version of gapps to install as there are no links. Tried downloading gapps-kk-20131208.zip from cyanogen but get the following error.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20131208.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20131208.zip
Updating partition details...
Messaging - Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped
Camera - Unfortunately, Camera has stopped
Flash content - no video, audio only
Also, in the developer options the lowest Animation scale duration is .5x (not .25x)
Great to see some fine development, keep up the good work.
Also like to add to the above that the font inside the folders are cut off.
Font for the battery percentage inside the circle also not centred.
Thanks for your great work. My Xoom feels faster than ever in everyday use.
Edit:
Just installed nova and everything working fine minus camera crashing.
CM11 for the xoom is awesome news!!! I just installed todays (wingray) and as mentioned the camera isn't working. Also, where is "mmersive mode?" Any idea why on the omni rom with immersive mode is enabled, homescreen scrolling is completely lag free?
Again, thanks for continuing to take the time and support this device. I just came from stock 4.1.2, tried cm10.1 but it hung up too much. CM11 is ridiculously fast!

both PA and banks core gapps work fine
Sent from my Nexus 5
Just installed the latest version (cm-11-20140104-UNOFFICIAL-1537+0100-wingray). Camera and messaging issues now fixed :good: Also installed pa gapps and the apps seem to be running fine (gmail, play store, voice search and youtube).
The only other thing to note is that when scrolling from one home screen to another you are left with a white transparent background. Not sure if this launcher related or something else.
Great ROM for such an early build.
Edit:
Forgot to mention that flash content from bbc.co.uk is still audio only.
Amazing !
Better compatibilty than OMNIROM.
More fluidity, faster boot and now, games from King.com work fine.
Thanks very much.
Thank you for CM11, but no advantages (only double-tap to sleep) to Omni-Rom, but same disadvantages:
- TB has problems with superuser (can't delete sams apps)
- fc with toogles
- start in recovery?
- Omni feels smoother
- no expanded mod
I got the updated rom in, successful, but Gapps =kk-20131119 failed, is there a link for PA or Banks?

Many thanks for sharing your work with us!
I really like Xenon, it has everything I want and not too many things I don't need.
Flashed it with Gapps pico and also Magisk 16.4 although people on other ROMs have more reboots with Magisk than with other root solutions. I wanted to see for myself cause l'm a well below average user. I also use Substratum with a blue grey theme and another little dark theme.
Use the ROM (my first real taste of Oreo) for a couple of days now and random soft reboots are there but haven't had many.
I did first setup very slowly and then let it settle for 10 minutes and had no reboots there.
Battery life is close to stock for me.
Thanks again, I really hope this will be alive for a while. :good:

One good thing is that you can adjust music loudness steps to 60, but when I did that my little BT speeker nearly exploded. Luckily it was set to a very low level and it was still at a low level when set to 60...but loud as hell
Maybe a log (with sound turned off) would help?

Adjusting steps doesn't actually increase max volume. It just allows you to increase volume by smaller increments

Yes I know that.
But when I was listening on a BT speeker at low volume step I changed the steps to 60 and suddenly it was very loud although still set to step 5 of 60, so max volume was on a low step.
On standard setting step 5 of 15 isn't that loud.
My sd card is formatted as exfat and everytime I rename a folder ROM does hard reboot. Tried with Total Commander and MiXplorer. Renaming files works.
Log made with MatLog.

DOWNLOAD ROM
OXYGEN KERNEL (compulsory to boot)
DOWNLOAD GAPPS
First time installing crDroid to your Galaxy J7 2016, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running the Official TWRP Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, oxygen kernel zip & gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash oxygen kernel (linked above)
6) Flash gapps
7) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

I have SM-J710F, and this ROM worked good.
I hold Power+VolumeDown after flashing, and booting norm.
I found 3 bugs on SM-J710FN:
1. When all animations in Developer settings turned off and I tried turn off the screen with power button, screen doesn't turn off, it just making not so bright. It's happening not every time, just with some chance.
2. Internet from SIM works not so good. I always have E instead of 4G or LTE. When I was on other ROM with Android 8 it worked good. Any ideas to fix it?
3. Oxygen kernel do not apply settings on boot via Oxygen control v2.0.0
Another bug: User switch works not good. Not all crDroid's and Android's settings come back after switching from Guest to Owner. Also android crashed on switching them the first time.
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
This firmware was developed for the p905. It doesn't apply to the p905v at this time because it's bootloader locked and a custom recovery isn't possible.

Thanks to LineageOS team
Thanks Valeria! Will check and update. Hoping for a One UI port for this great tablet some day.
It's a really good Rom and it's working well.
When using Freeform mode, there is often a bug in which the systemUI is restarted.

S-Pen support
Has anyone tested S-Pen support?
I use Squid a lot to take notes for college on this tablet, and the button function is a lifesaver for selecting multiple elements. I tried Lineage on android 7 and it didn't recognize the button. Is the recognition present in this build? And what about palm rejection?
Thanks for the great work! Every time when I connect the device to a computer and try to turn it into USB file-transfer mode, the device freeze and restart. Would you please fix it in a later version? Thanks and much appreciated.
Nice ROM. Got my P905 and first tried this. Today i recognized that the Media Sound Volume is very low on highest setting. Is it fixable?
Does Lineage have a better performance?

If there is any code update / fixes include in the SW or only the security update?
I mean the other thread contains also fixes (e. g. Screen rotation etc...) and the version before is over 1/2 year old
I was deploying this this rom yesterday
And i am very hapoy so far.
Very nice rom.
Issues:
1.keyboard issues at startup
I can't reproduce but had a keyboard issue changing from latter's to number during initial startup and sign in steps, i had to minimize keyboard and return after each change.
2. Spen is working but no air command
I see the cursor on screen when hovering above it.
Not sure how good the it perform, only that it is there and somewhat working.
3. Rotating screen, it self rotating and you cant
Undo and stuck with vertical view until reboot.
I am now tried to disable this, hoping i can get stable usage like this.
Working good
Phone
Lte
Wifi
The tab uses less battery then stock
And you can feel how light it is.
Overall i like it, hoping to get updates over here but it looks lonely over here
Thanks for the rom

Hey, I have been using this ROM for 2 weeks now. Micro-G works well with this ROM. Overall, I encountered all the issue that @gllkoop mentioned above. I know that your Lineage OS is more popular but it is not compatible with Micro-G as it does not support signature spoofing so I hope you give an update to this crdroid ROM. Thanks.
Hi fron Spain, ill try to install it but always return to twrp,i install the lastest official ROM,with Odín the twrp, after boot with twrp, flash ROM and gaps and on reboot, after a many time with the crdroid logo ita reboot and enter always on twrp.
