Are you using sandisk 32Gb external sd card ?
Some people had issues with this card where the system kept scanning for media and drained the battery.

I removed the SD card last night and replaced it with one of my old Kingston 8 GB cards .....so far so good. I'm going to let the phone fully charge and see how long the battery it will last today.

OP it's a corrupted file on your sd card we had this problem on the s3. For some reason the easiest fix was backup your files format the SD card put your files back on it and you'll be good

Quick update...I've had my old SD card in my phone all day, and it seems like the battery life is back to normal. So now im going to take everything off the 32 gig sd card then reformat to see if that helps. ..if not back to the manufacturer. ..I would like to say thank you everyone for all the help!
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
Hey there is an app in the market called media rescan root it disables your media scanner helps dramatically with battery life. Also I have a question did you do the recent update? If you did then you now have the lte radio enabled. You have to turn it off in settings.

So I don't know what's happening but I have a 32gb class 10 micro sd card. And once a week it just goes corrupt and my files are all corrupt. It's seriously getting on my nerves and I don't know what to do. I I've formatted it in the phone and in a pc and it doesn't matter it still happens.

Sounds like the card may just be faulty?
I have had one incident with my current SD card recently where it wiped itself but fortunately it hasn't happened again. I have a 32 GB Class 10 also. I have read of other experiences with QC issues with lesser known brands like "Patriot" (my current) or "PNY". I think for my next one I'll spend the extra dough and go Samsung. I hear those are built like tanks

My phone was charging this morning. And then out of the sudden, I look at it and have this notification.(see pics below). I click on it and a box comes up asking me to reformat my card. I have too many pics on that card that I would hate to lose. By the way is a SanDisk Ultra class 10 32GB. Any thoughts or possible fix?

Emiliano, did you read that link I posted in the other thread ? Checking that box might make some apps FC.
Going to give this a shot. I saw the one about a loose connection also but was traveling for the holidays and hadn't had a chance to take my notes apart. Will report back on the results.

So far no issues. I didn't want to spend more money on a Samsung card when I already had a perfectly good SanDisk. Now if you are buying a new card to use in your note, I skip the headache and don't get a SanDisk.

So the problem has slowly crept back in. The next step is to feed Samsung some more cash for a new sdcard. Almost as bad as Apple.

Maybe you should edit the title of the thread to indicate that the problem isn't solved...
I had this issue on my Samsung Epic 4g. I found it to be an issue with having too many apps running from the SD card.
I went through several sd cards, reformatted countless times, to no avail. Only after taking a bunch of apps off my card, and using primarily the internal memory of the phone did it finally stop doing the "sd unexpected removed" error. It has been almost 4 months of daily use without a single hiccup since.
Try it on your phone and hopefully it can resolve your particular problems.

I swapped my 32gb SanDisk ultra with my wife's 32gb Kensington class 4 yesterday. Like everyone else I have stopped having the problem. It does just seem to be the SanDisk ultra that has the problem with the note 2.

My sandisk 32g ultra gave me nothing but trouble and then it died. It is going back to Amazon. I suspect a bad batch of cards.

I got mine from Low Lat Plaza in Kuala Lumpur in September. It could be a bad batch. It is strange that it is only the 32gb ultra that is affected.
Looks like it is time to get a 64gb class 10. I was trying to wait till my next trip to Asia in June but now might have to bite the bullet sooner.
What kernels are you guys running? I had this problem last night after flashing a new kernel, I couldn't get my card(Sandisk 64gb class 10) to mount at all. As soon as I flashed back to Perseus it mounted just fine. Random thoughts, just something to check.

I'm having the same issue (SD card removed every couple hours, but not every time it goes to sleep) with a PNY 32gb card, FYI
Hello Guys.
I've seen this problem on a few forums but no one really has the solution that might work for my phone. Whenever I add videos or movies to my external SD card, in a few hours or days my SD card starts acting weird. Some of the pictures get deleted or destroyed and sometimes I cant access my SD card with CWM. When I play the videos I can't fast forward (doesn't let me) and sometimes the movie plays for 2 minutes and then just starts from the beginning again. I tried formatting it several times in fat 32 and exfat and it gives the same problem. I tried using different SD cards from sandisk and still causes problems. I am currently using the 64gb san disk SD card. My phone is SGH-T999. Also, for those who are wondering, I did try different roms.
Any solutions?

64gb cards are fully compatible. If not, they wouldn't work. To the op. Contact SanDisk. I had a couple of 32gbp SanDisk cards do this to me. They sent me new ones for free even though they were 1 and a half years old. Now it works fine. I am using a 64gbp card now with no issues.

Yeah, I think the best solution at this point will be contacting them and asking them for a new one. But to be completely honest, I used a generic one and it gave me the same problems. Then, I thought I should stop using cheap crap and bought a SanDisk and still same problems. I guess the problem is in the device?
Hey everyone, so I jumped to the HTC m8 and I hated it! Paid the restocking fee and got the note 3 again and my phone lags really bad. I have to either restart my phone or turn the screen off and on. I have until Tuesday before my 14 days are up and was wondering if rooting it and flashing a rom would fix the lag or should I exchange it?
Edit. Sorry I meant to post this in the Q&A section.

Rooting it and installing a custom rom/kernel always helps as you can debloat whatever apps you don't use with titanium backup pro, root explorer, trickster mod etc. I don't see how even with 3gb ram this phone lags, but not every phone is the same I suppose.
