Hello,
I am new to posting on the forums but I have been combing through them since around the HTC touch days. I am having a bit of trouble with a Koodo HTC One V.

So here is what happened. I had rooted the phone and was using it for about a week, when an OTA showed up and I applied it. Things seemed fine for about another week or so, but then I lost service. Everything else still works fine just no cellular service. I believe that the radio config has become corrupt.
I managed to find a copy of "mdm.bin" and "amss.bin" for my provider and model, but I cannot seem to figure out how to load them on the phone. So far I have tried adding them to a .zip archive and using CWM, but it simply says failed.
Can someone help me with some easy to follow instructions? I have been playing with this for over 1 1/2 weeks now and I am making myself crazy. I have a backup phone right now but it is becoming very unreliable.
Thanks in advance,
Jordan
I have also tried the most recent RUU, but the same issue persists. Could it maybe be that the Radio is not actually being overwritten? I am really at a loss here and hoping that someone can help me out.
Thanks again,
Jordan

I've been having a lot of trouble unrooting my HTC Evo. I've worked through a lot of the methods I've found posted but nothing has worked. I could really use some help.
The phone was rooted about a year ago. I rooted the phone, but never flashed a different version. It's been on the original rooted version since it was done.
I'm currently running Android 2.3.3
I've got Superuser installed with Clockwork Mod for Recovery
This is what I have done so far.
I downloaded the unrevoked S-On tool and ran it. It didn't work and or didn't change to S-on I tried it at least a dozen times and kept getting an error.
I then ran a different version of the radio because it was recommended and It Did Work.
I then tried Unrevoked S-On again and it still wouldn't work.
I then saw a thread that said to flash the PC36IMG and it would then change the S to On after I did it. I couldn't get the PC36IMG to flash I kept getting an error on that.
I've looked all over for a possible solution and haven't been able to find one. The phone is having some technical issues with the screen and I need to take it back in to Sprint to have it repaired or switched out. If someone could help me I really appreciate it. I don't know if I posted this in the right place, this is my first post.

I really could use some help. Let me know if you need any more information.
Thanks in advance for all your help,
Matt
Try this
I am on HBoot 2.18, so you may or may not have to do this. I was on Decksreloaded and could not unroot to take the phone in to sprint. I had to flash a sence rom, follow the unroot instructions, then flash an unrooted stock rom. It would not work with decks on the phone. Not sure why that mattered, but it did.
It worked. Thanks for all your help!
Thanks for all your help!
**Update** I solved my own problem >_>
I just restored the boot from the cwm nandroid image and the cellular network was restored. If anyone was in a similar situation with this phone there you go.
I'm a noob obviously. I watched the noob video... I've searched here and on google for hours upon hours on how to fix the problem i'm currently in.
I tried to root the One V in order to eventually overclock it with whichever ROM would help me do so. Got tired of the sluggishness of it.
I unlocked the bootloader, made a nandroid backup with cwm, then rooted it with supersu. My only problem is now the cellular network is unavailable. WiFi works fine though.
I've tried to flash the recovery I made but it doesn't help. It seems that the only solution is to flash the stock rom/ run the RUU for the One V.
Anyone know how I can either get back the cellular connection, or where I can find/download the RUU, since I just found out through this whole process that the website for the stock ruus was recently taken down by HTC! :crying: I'd really like to not lose $100 and have to waste more money on another phone.
Thanks...
curious if your specs are the same as mine as I haven't found an RUU for my device either. Can you let me know if you're running the same as me please?

Hello everyone,
I too have the same phone and no network service. I have tried the RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_TELUS_WWE_2.22.661.2_Radio_20.76.30.0835U_3831.19.00.120_release_275931_signed but no win. Would it be asking to much for someone to upload a copy of their boot? I am not sure what makes the radio so difficult with this Koodo version, but I have been fiddling with this for 3 days on and off. Needless to say, I'm losing my mind and developing a twitch lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Ok basically after s-off and rooting my phone I installed CM7. Now I only get signal if I constantly reboot my phone. The other problem is that it says no service yet whatsapp and mobile data works but not GSM. Realty wierd. I downloaded what I thought was the latest radio for my handset. Renamed the .zip pg32img.zip and copied it to my SD card. Booted into bootloader and apparently its the wrong image. I need to know how to fix this and if it is the radio then I news help finding the CCorrect one. I'm using a debranded and unlocked HTC desire HD in the uk. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know the hardware in the handset is fine by the way.
Maybe if you used the file name PD98IMG.ZIP you might have better luck. Where did you get the name pg32img.zip from?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda app-developers app
...
Naa me neither. I've corrected the filename but now I get parsing and a loading bar then it goes back to the previous screen. Is that good or bad?

PG32IMG.zip is for the droid incredible 2, are you sure that the radio file is the correct one for your device? mobile data requires GSM to be functional otherwise it wouldn't work.
Have you flashed a RIL?? flashing a RIL on an AOSP rom should affect that. Is the back cover on? Then antenna of the DHD is on the cover where the sim card is. If it is not on, that would explain the lack of signal.

Hello All,
I could really use help. I know this is an old phone but doing research I can not find a single thing to help me....
I got a Virgin Mobile HtC WildFire S I bought it to use as a wifi phone.
I got recovery CWM installed and tried to install a Custom rom with no luck.
Every time I boot the phone it shows htc real fast, vibrates and brings me to hboot.
I tried wipe all, I tried re-installing different roms and still no luck.
This is the message I get when the phone boots

Hey guys, I've done a lot of searching with no results.
The root of my problems is that my GPS just does not work. I've used GPS Status & Toolbox and the phone does not register any satellites what so ever, so I can't use Google Maps or any app that needs my location. This all started happening from the time I received the phone from HTC. They sent it to me as a screen replacement phone. But now at this point, as I see it, it's a hardware problem. (If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know).
So right when I received the device I Unlocked it, Turned S-Off, and Rooted it. I did all of this before I realized there was a problem with the GPS. So I guess that was my fault. So now, the device is still under warranty but I know that HTC doesn't like them to be tampered with before they replace them (I learned that the hard way to the tune of $250 when I sent in my first device for screen repair).
So here is my device now, please help if you can, I need to get back to 100% stock being Locked, S-On, and Not Rooted.

I'm on T-Mobile, running Sense 6.0 on Android 4.4.4.
If anyone can give me an idea of the steps I need to take, please let me know. I just haven't come across a way to go back to Locked and S-On with HBoot 3.19.
Any advice or help would be very welcome, thank you!
