Google talk Crashing process.gapps closure - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does anyone have a problem with incoming Google talk messages getting the "unfortunately process.gapps has unexpected closed" bla bla bla message? Basically Google talk crashes with every incoming message.
Any fix around this?
I've tried everything from clearing data and caches from talk, download manager, etc...
Thanks

Would you mind me asking how you fixed it? Having a similar issue where it crashes seemingly all the time.

You've gotta disable all talk notifications. In options. If they are enabled then it crashes.

How to get rid of google voice settings?

So I tried to see what google voice does exactly and I seen its not necessary for me so I uninstalled it but noticed that its settings are still on. So I reinstalled it and went in the settings and signed out which was supposed to take it off completely but its still there. When I get a phone call and answer I always have to press "1" to answer. And I get txts and e mails of my voice mails which I don't like. How can I get rid of this completelyyy?

this is normal.. you have to login to GV in a web browser and change the settings.

Didn't actually work. Still have to press 1 when I answer a call.

You have to change call screening options.

Seems like a bug a lot of people are having (myself included). I'm sure it will be fixed in due time...
(btw this is Q&A, where's the question???? lol)

If you go to settings, apps, all, open "Google Account Manager" and disable it, that will stop the notifications. Its a temp solution till Google fixes it. (its Google Now...)

I changed accounts in Maps, as I started getting this error just after the update. Switching to my second account, then switching right back fixed it for me.

Looks like everyone everwhere is getting this error. Just looked at Google and Android's twitter @ replies, and people are scathing. Lol. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Google plus notifications

I downloaded Google plus app yesterday and I was getting all the notifications but after I used the 'power saving' mode of Samsung I haven't been getting notifications at all. I went to the app and switched notifications off and on again but nothing. Any help is appreciated

G+ settings and go change your notification settings..
I did and everything was selected. However my notification for xda is not working either now. I do get notifications for my emails. What can I do if some apps are not notifying me?

Uh that's just odd. Maybe try clearing your cache/dalvik and rebooting.
If your settings are fine, then there's something else either blocking them or bad cache/data memory.
I'll try that right now

I clean both and the xda app worked right away except that now it crashes sometimes. I haven't been able to test G+. I'll get back to you. Thanks

Still the same problem. G+ notifications won't pop up

Failing to log in to Yahoo mail

Out just keeps saying "failing to log in to Yahoo mail. If anyone has had this problem or know how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it as it is necessary for with. Thanks and I'll be sure to hit thanks

Are you certain its not an issue on yahoos end? Does it never work, or sometimes work?
Have you tried other email apps?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
If you are restoring from Titanium backup after switching roms it usually doesn't work. I just install from play store.
Are you using the native email app or the y-mail app from the play store? I kept getting the same error with the email app until I just downloaded the yahoo mail app. Works perfectly now. Try that.
