Hi,
I have just boot One X and it has if I am correct some Ultimobile ROM. Software number is ULTIMOBILE-ONEX-4.0.3-GCI-061312-1.7
My question is what I must do in order to get 4.1.2 htc stock rom? Do I have to root it or what else? And how to know which of all of these roms is suitable for my phone?

Run an RUU for your CID.
Do a fastboot command to check which ruu you exactly need. You cant just run any ruu....
Fastboot getvar version-main
Post the result please

boot to bootloader mode >> fastboot getvar cid.
Detect the cid first, then should be able to find the correct RUU for it.
You don't even know you're previously on which base is it? 1.26 or 1.28 or 1.29 or 2.17?
Then remember to told us the hboot version shown on bootloader screen.

And your problem is...?
Flash the ROM using clockworkmod recovery and flash the boot.img using
fastboot flash boot boot.img
...exactly the same as you did to get the JB ROM on your phone.

What is your CID?? and version??
If there is a JB ruu for you, you can go to stock JB . You cant use a ruu that is based on the 2.17 or lower. You have an updated Hboot so going back to stock ICS with a ruu is impossible......
You can run a ics stock rom and flash the stock recovery after and relock the bootloader, then it seems you are on stock but only with a updated Hboot. That's the closest to stock ICS you can get !

my one x is cid_001 and running Android Revolution HD 17.1
ive found a jellybean ruu
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe
just hoping this works
Edit, was reading wrong : we don't need the rom you are running. We need the main version number to determin the right ruu.
Do fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
That's definitely the real version
Yes, you can
Just find the attached link. Press Thanks if u like.

Yep this ruu is compatible with your CID. But i would warn you that it is a 'leaked' experimental ruu and not an official htc release... So theres no gurantee.

Just wondering if anyone could please point me in the direction of the correct ruu to use to return my one x to stock Rom? I have 2.17.401.2 and matching that to the list of ruu's gives me a Europe Rom is this correct? 023 is Australia & New Zealand. Also, am I right in thinking installing the ruu will also install stock recovery and kernel? I'm coming from viper which I've had since owning the phone & it's been amazing. Is there anything else I need to do
http://htcruu.com/securekey.php?fil...401.11_release_2749568xzb2t6wu96omqzo.zip.md5
Is this the right ruu ?
Thanks in advance

Yup, RUU flashes stock recovery and kernel and ROM. Make sure you have relocked bootloader and enough battery before running RUU . Relock by typing this:
Code:
fastboot OEM lock
And remember admin rights!
just a quick question,
I am trying to update my GF hox to a new jelly bean rom and I havent dont it in a while and people are mentioning upgrading the hboot.
She has hboot 0.94 so which hboot should I upgrade to?
is it just a matter of flashing the RUU specific to her phone (3 uk)?
cheers!

would really like a quick answer as im stuck on "HTC one X beats audio" screen
After looking here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2009525 it looks as though the jelly bean RUU for 3 UK has not yet been released.
So your best bet would be to flash an ics RUU and wait for the official jelly bean OTA update to come through on the phone. You can try a H3G UK RUU from here http://www.htcruu.com/?dir=Endeavor ,but make sure to check what your main
version is using fastboot getvar version-main to see which RUU is the one you need.
You can't update the hboot until the firmware for your CID has been released.
I hope this helps.

What is the error code the RUU is giving? And if the bootloader is unlocked, try locking it and running the RUU again.
Does the fastboot getvar version-main command give you the number with .771 in it?
EDIT: Also, you need to flash a stock recovery if you don't already have one. You can get one from here http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?file=endeavoru_recovery_signed.img and rename it to recovery.img and then flash it through fastboot using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. But this has to be done before locking the bootloader.

hi thanks! it was because it was still unlocked
now i just have to find a decent ROM that is compatible!
All custom ROMs except those that run jellybean with HTC sense will work fine.
Any jellybean that are based on aosp, aokp or cm10 will work

On what base are you ?
Fastboot getvar version-main
Give the output number. And did you only root your stock rom, or is it tampered with ? Like deleting system apps ans so on ?
