[Q] T-Mobile SGH-t899 t0lte confuse. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello guys, I am just a little confuse and hopefully someone can steer me to the right direction =.
This whole thread say clearly T-Mobile Samsung galaxy note II, however I notice a lot of roms on the treads says different rom.
My question is witch rom that work with my phone have Wi-Fi calling, the extra windows unlocked, extra icons and I can install Google wallet on it.
Just to be clear I am not saying that somebody needs to make a rom like that or trying to push anybody to do something or anything like that (I ONLY HAVE A QUESTION IF ANYBODY KNOW OF ANY ROM THAT HAS ALL THIS FITURES THAT WOULD WORK WITH sgh-t899 t0lte) if not that is ok too.
The man reason that I need wi-fi calling is that I don’t have any signal at home so this is what I use.
Thanks guys and I really appreciate any help, be sure if anybody try to help I will be clicking the thanks button.
Thanks again.

You want firmware that ends ideally in BMB4 or ALL4. Those are the two plates Tmo sgh-t889 firmwares. Nothing other than a tmo firmware will have WiFi calling. Everything branded as t0lte is likely an AOSP based ROM which definitely isn't what your looking for. Check this post for a good reference list of stock firmwares:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=363
FWIW, based on your requirements I'd take a good look at dwitherell's Tweaked 1.5 ROM. It isn't the newest base with LTE, but its solid

[Q] Possibility of flashing SGH-I317 ROM onto GT-N7100/GT-N7105...

Tuesday, December 4, 2012
Note II Owners, Developers, & XDA Members:
I briefly mentioned this in another, related thread. However, considering how unique and specific this is, I thought it best to create a thread dedicated to it. Furthermore, I am fully aware of just how counterintuitive this is. As a matter of fact, there was just an article on XDA News this week that discussed doing the exact opposite. So, without further adieu, here's my question.
Has anyone tried flashing an I317 (AT&T Note II) ROM onto an N7100/N7105 with an N7100/N7105 modem? I know it seems counterintuitive, but what if you really wanted an AT&T Note II, complete with all the stupid AT&T crapware, but still wanted an international IMEI? Anybody tried this yet?
Now, before a flood of criticism comes my way, let me save you the trouble. You're right. It makes much more sense to flash an N7100 ROM onto an I317 instead of vice versa. However, there are a few AT&T-specific features that are included in the I317's stock ROM that I would like to explore on my N7100. So if anyone has any experience or good advice to help get me going in the right direction, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this. You have my gratitude.
Thank you,
Ed (Mister_Mxyzptlk)

Also, I welcome anyone who's tried this with one of the other US variant's ROMs too... all except for Verizon.

I want to do this too
AT&T cannot (or WILL NOT) correctly provision unlocked phones so I can't get 4G speeds with my N7100 international Note 2 - haters! But the saleslady told me if I could get it to broadcast to the network as the SGH-i317 it would automatically pick up the 4G network. I have a little flashing experience from my Samsung Captivate, but isn't there a way to go in and change the network settings without rooting?
I think it would only work with the N7105 since the two phones are pretty much identical hardware wise. That being said, you'd need to grab an SGH-I317 ROM, run it through dsixda's Android Kitchen (making sure to extract the CSC as well during the working folder set up process), then delete modem.bin from the root of the working folder, then build the ROM - that would be the bare minimum required to take an AT&T ROM and make it flashable to an N7105 (because if you flash the modem, you're screwed and will need to restore the proper modem).
And look into making proper EFS NV item backups, along with the mk9efs partitions.

Ready to root but first...

Just some background: Running an unrooted Galaxy S4 since the S4 first came out w/ T-mobile and everything was ok. Sometime this summer T-mobile came out with the 4.4.2 OTA update and since then everything went to hell. On my 2nd replacement phone from T-mobile and the issue of the phone suddenly not being able to make or receive calls after a successful Bluetooth car connection persists. Everything else works BUT that. I'm just no longer comfortable in pulling off on highway shoulders to speak on the phone. T-Mobile did a shoulder shrug and told me to deal with Samsung directly...which i wont even bother with. So..... I'm ready to flash the phone. My question is. What is the MOST stable, least loaded with bloatware ROM that is available (where all the functions work). I currently run the NOVA launcher and plan to do same. I do not care about the ROM having specific graphical functions and just prefer the stock T-mobile ROM look. Thank you guys in advance (if someone can direct me to a link with FLASH instructions I'd appreciate it too... (haven't flashed since my Evo3D a few years back) Once again, Thank you for your time.
Read the rom threads in the development section. There are tons of stable roms that will suit your needs just fine. Pick one and read through it until you're satisfied that it's what you're looking for, then dive on in.
Danvdh's 4.4.4 GPE (Google Play Edition) ROM is rock solid and my daily driver. You can't go wrong with it. The Sickness' ROMs are also very good as well. There's also CyanogenMod 11 which is good if you like AOSP ROMs and a ton of AOSP/CM based ROMs in the unified development section.
Good luck and don't be afraid to try a few out before making a final decision. You might enjoy yourself.
I love this Rom.

Is my fallback Rom. It gives me a stock feel and is customizable to your needs. I run it with Googymax 1.1.7 kernel. You won't be let down.

The more telling situation is the sound of crickets from our development thread when there has been enough info out for working OA7/OB7 lollipop roms for our phone for half a month and there is still only one backup image available here in the general section.
Hopefully they release it. but who knows really ? On the t mobiles phone update list the s4 is not on the list like the note 3 and s5 and note 4

Because there is plenty of development for universal ROMs for all s4 variants.
There is no need for 919 specific ROMs anymore. The 9505 to s work fine on the 919.
Check the international s4 dev thread. There are ROMs coming out the kazoo

Well you are not even half right, there is plenty of development in unified roms, and 9505 roms do work fine though I find ShinySide's HispAsian kernel for our 919 to be far better than any 9505 kernel I've tried and of course the 9505 roms are missing wifi calling and so are all the aosp flavors you could think about downgrading to. So really there is a need for specific 919 roms. I call it downgrading because that's what it is. There are just lots of people who don't know they are missing anything because they don't do more than make phone calls with their phones.
I specifically mentioned OA7/OB7 because I was talking about Touchwiz roms. ... As for flashing OA7/OB7 we still need a lollipop bootloader/radio/modem for the 919 for this to work well or accept perpetual complaining about all the things that don't work right trying to run TW lollipop over 4.4 radio/modem/bootloaders....
I'm not trying to pick a fight, I just haven't had any coffee yet!

I know about the different international ROMs working...that isnt the point..I want the T-Mobile stock kernel with stock features like WiFi calling to work...can't do that on unified ROMs...and I'm pretty sure screen mirroring will work as well since unifying these leaks have bugs with the build prop getting screen mirroring to work.
Kernel alone won't do it, a feature like wifi calling is baked into T-mobile firmware.

the crazy thing is there was an early Chinese leak that i ported to our device.....it had wifi calling but of course at that time we didnt have wifi working because of the kernel issue with wifi at the time...if i can remember which leak it was thwen i could test it with the AEL lp kernel.

Why is t mobile so restrictive about that?
Why isnt it an app you can get from Play for any phone?
Wifi calling has been around since 2007 when T-mobile launched it to boost their lack of coverage as compared to ATT and Verizon.
Sprint started offering it recently on some devices, AT&T /Verizon don't think much of it because they have the best network coverage in the nation.
I think it's a great feature because we are always around some sort of WiFi, especially if your is a sub basement where nobody's cell gets any signal and all of a sudden your phone rings with a call or message.
Pp.
Yeah but I mean why do they embed it so deep into the OS that even the best hackers/coders/developers/magicians on XDA can't break it out?
Why not juamst have an easily downloadable app that authenticates your account and works on any device?

I certainly hope so. I think it will be interesting to see what the developers will do with a m919 rom. I love GPE's but TW rom's have some customizations that I miss. My proximity sensor is damaged and in a TW rom I can just turn it off but I can't do it in a GPE rom. I'm super excited for LP to come out.
any news on upgrading modem/bootloader to LP for m919? just got one and i am on MF2 but really want to put LolliRom from Albe95, but I know its risky. I have searched everywhere but cannot find a reliable answer/link

[Q] Am I overlooking things...?

Hey guys, I have a Sprint, SM-T807P (10.5" LTE/Snapdragon) version of the Tab S and I must say that I have been nothing short of impressed since the day I purchased it back in December. However, the one (major) downfall is that it seems 1 in 1000 Tab S owners actually have the 807P, which appears to be resulting in a virtual non-existent world of ROM's/custom kernels etc.
I was HOPING I am either over looking something, looking in the wrong location, or not aware of which other models may be compatible with mine.
I just Odin'd from DUH's KK ROM, to stock OE3 Lollipop, and was hoping to get re-rooted/CWR or TWRP installed and find myself a slick little ROM to install.
Is there any hope? lol Thanks in advance, ladies and gents!
Adding on to this. I bought the SM-T807P used (because it was a great deal) and I am only interested in running it through wifi. I dont need the LTE capability.
Somewhere I heard that some other Snapdragon roms will work, I'll just loose LTE functionality ... which is fine by me.
Does anyone have a list or can point me in the right direction for other roms that would work in wifi mode?
Or tell me which snapdragon roms will work?
It's already rooted and TWRP is installed. I'm just lacking in roms.
Thanks!

I'm sure @duh will gladly build an updated Rom for you guys if enough of you request it.
Maybe if you have enough knowledge you can build one for yourself and the other Sprint owners?

Did you ever receive any answers on this? I am in the same boat, I only have a gig or two of data on my Tab S, but have unlimited data on my Note 4, that's rooted+ROM'd, including the hotspot mod. So I could do without the LTE as well...
What exactly is it you are all expecting from a custom rom?
Practically all custom roms are simply debloated stock roms with maybe the odd extra thrown in.
There is nothing magic in a stock custom rom that you can't do yourself.

Best Note 7 ROM for Note 4 Sprint?

Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend the most feature packed Note 7 ROM for my Note 4 Sprint carrier. I have Used Dr. Ketan Note 7 ROM. It's a very good ROM..
But the camera app isn't updated and after updating it doesn't work, the original Samsung keyboard doesn't work properly, there is no private mode in it & message app doesn't work either.
So looking for a Note 7 ROM that contains less bugs.
Thanks,
Asim
Ive been using Tx.dbs Ultimate Note 7 hybrid rom since it came out and have been completely happy with how it operates as a daily for me,everything pretty much works perfect for a note 7 rom on a note 4.:good:

If your using Sprint service, I agree with @JAMRZ69, the UN7 rom by tx_dbs_tx was made specifically for Sprint.
But feel free to try others to, as long as they have a sprint fix.
Also try to apply AlternateSmsMmsSendingFix_UN7_Hybrid_by.txdbstx to any of the roms you try, as it might help with sprint service. It's on his thread.
As far as private mode goes, i don't think any note7 ports have it. I could be wrong about this part though.
Thanks guys,
I will surely try this ROM and post my feedback.
BTW, is it just me or do you guys also feel that Sprint carrier phone has very less Custom ROMS compared to other variants..
Also lucky are those who have international variants because I've seen ROMs that have almost 0 bugs..

Yes, I can agree with that. I'm kinda lucky in that apect,as I'm unlocked using gsm service (cricket). So it's easier for me to get the other roms working.
To explain why, from what i understand as I'm not a sprint customer, but from what I've studied here. Sprint is one of the hardest carrier's to get working, as they have an extra layer of software to connect to their service, in a sense! Plus Also the predominant service, worldwide is GSM. So there are more GSM roms and it's easy to get a certain gsm rom to work with another gsm provider, and also it isnt super hard to get cdma roms to work with gsm. BUT it is difficult to get GSM roms to work with cdma, especially Sprint because of their setup.
Hope that gives you some insight! At least this is how i understand it!
Plus also, there were actually a lot of sprint roms, they're just older lollipop or not being further developed. This is because the device is aging and all the devs moved on to another device. That's why we must be grateful for the continued development of roms on this device from these great developers. Hopefully some young learning devs like me can keep it going. But I'm just am old dog learning new tricks!

I am using an unlocked sprint phone myself.. Would that also allow me to flash custom ROMs which are for other GSM variants? If that's the case, then I can get hands on some really good ROMs.

Yes, how it usually works is, you install the rom, then you need to install a separate kernel for your device (in most cases they'll suggest the Ram kernel), Then you'll need a data fix. Which usually can be found, or you make one.
If you try a rom and have trouble, I can try to help you with making a fix. They're pretty simple for gsm service. What I've found out is, to stick with installing sprint kernel, but since we use gsm, you can use a tmobile data fix most of the time.

Omg, there are so many options. It's hard for me to say. I have a few post on Sprint section, giving my opinion, explaining some different roms. But it was just comparing newer Sprint roms. When you bring in the international thread, there's just so many options. And all of them are good. Its gonna come down to what works for you. Browse some of the current work going on, and try one. If you don't like after a trial run, try another. If anything, it'll give you xp flashing your device.
But just to name ones that I've actually had running, here's a list in no particular order:
Enhanced
Norma
Nemesis
Dr Keaton
Nameless
Auroa
Emotion
Resurrection
Lineage
Just off the top of my head. That's not counting the ones one the Sprint thread like, UN7 and Dtux.
Read, do some research, look at screenshots and pick one.
Once you pick one and if have trouble getting going with data fix. Let me know I'll try help!
Happy flashing!
Remember, it has to be a Snapdragon Rom.
im curious if anyone has found a nice rom to put on the N4, I just got a replacement the other day and im hoping to load something fun onto it. It came with marshmallow 6.0.1...
the last thing i had was UN5 running, im a little afraid to try UN7 knowing that development has stopped for it..
