Best Unbranded Stock Rom? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Vodafone N7105 that has 4.1.2 on it but it has all the Vodafone bloatware on it so I want to install an unbranded stock firmware but would like to know which is the best one? Obviously it needs to have the English language.
Many Thanks in advance

I have found a few firmwares on google but they all seem to be for different networks and the ones on Sam firmware all appear to be for specific providers, apologies for the NOOB question but can anyone help?

Try removing bloatware via titanium backup.

Tried but hasn't worked seems to only have removed part of some of the apps. Surely it's cleaner to install a firmware with no bloatware first off?
So far I have found guides on google but each one is for a different sized rom with a different name and I don't know the difference!
If someone could explain I'd be very grateful. I don't know which will be best for a UK N7105. All claim to be unbranded?

All off teshxx roms in the n7105 section are stock and bloat/branded free but I'd highly recommend deadmans custom rom. They are all available in English just set it when prompted after first boot

Thanks very much, are not of the ones i posted above and good for uk? I have just looked at the teshxx ones but they all seem to be per rooted and I don't understand the difference between odexed and de odexed.
Sorry again for noob questions

All custom roms and most stock uploaded here will be pre rooted. A deodexed rom takes slightly longer to boot but can be themed. Its a lot easier to mod a deoxed rom but all stock are odexed. Unless your modding or theming your rom you wont notice the difference. Dr ketans threads are the most helpful if you want to know anything. I think all the roms you mentioned are ok but dr ketan is the best person to ask

I did try the singapore ones on sammobile (that didn't have service provider by name) which had no sp bloatware and worked fine, just didn't flash modem just incase. But am on t-mobile (uk) so tried EE firmware from sammobile, after trying vod and 3 ones as was initially impatient for uk stock rom but both full bloatware and was pleasantly suprised as didn't see any on EE.
After used titanium to freeze load stuff but that just my preference on some samsung apps.
Hope helps and makes sense. ..

I am not sure what the BEST means here... I guess any one of the value packs are good (both roms you mentioned are in that category. I believe there is a newer one for Bulgaria - Check Samfirmware.com) However, I strongly recommend not to flash the radio (baseband) but just the ROM. Radio part is location sensitive and it is "supposed" to be optimized for the region you live in.

To be honest i havent used those roms. But I don't think there should be too much of difference between new stock roms.

[Q] Question about firmware

Hi, this is my first post here and I've done some searching and I've got confused with the firmware names between stock and original.
Currently I have a T-mobile 4.1.1 baseband T889UVALL4 with T-mobile firmware.
What I am trying to understand and do is change from t-mobile firmware as it has t-mobile apps to a samsung firmware and their apps /non t-mobile apps.
Is this something possible? Where can I find these firmwares and what is the latest version?
Thanks & regards
First off welcome..Why dont u give tweaked a try. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242972 Its the only rom I use on my phone.. You have the ability on install to choose the amount of bloat u want and it's super customizable....... as for the international roms be mindful they don't have wifi calling

Look up teshxx in the development section he has stock samsung roms. Keep scrolling the different roms til you find the latest updated one, cause he have quite a few posted. If you ever want to try a custom rom, try Jedi x14 by ptmr3 which is great.

What is the difference between factory and stock image?
Ive seen the topic where it has all images for t889 but I cannot distinguish what are those.
If I want to have a samsung only firmware on my t889 , what king of file should I be looking for?
Tks
Anyone? Any place I should look?

Factory and stock should be the same just wording. What are you looking for ? Do u want a rooted stock rom. If so downloaded teshxx deodexed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380. Like I said before if you want a rooted stable customizable (without flashing anything else) try tweaked

Hi, thanks for your help. What I am looking for is remove anything related to T-MOBILE from my phone, so it looks like the Samsung Firmware without T-Mobile apps, in order words, to look like the international Samsung Galaxy Note 2, unbranded.
How can I do this? What is odexed/deodexed btw?
Tks

Hi deeznutz1977 thanks for your help.
From what I could read, a ROM is something you put on top of the firmware.
Is there anyway to put a Samsung firmware from scratch without those T-Mobile brand on the SGH-T889?
So it would be a brand new firmware, no ROMS or t-mobile apps.
Thanks for you help and patience.
Best Regards

I need a good rom im not a pro at rooting I kind of know what im doing if I have the firmware and I know how to use odin
Please someone reply
Why don't you install the newest stock rom for your region?
However, if you want custom I use the Jedi x19 rom with the latest Saber kernel.
I honestly don't think any custom rom will be flawless there will always be a trade off.

[Q] Delete operator rom

Hello there,
My father have a GT-N7100. He bought it in France with the operator Orange.
The problem is that he's tired of the 4.1.2 Orange's rom and want to remove it to the pure stock Samsung Rom.
Can someone explain me how to install the latest Samsung Rom for the French GN2? I think the region's code is XEF or something like that...
Tell me if you need more informations to help me. )
Go to sammobile.com and choose any stock rom you prefer for your n7100... but if you like flashing custom roms and all, I'l not recommend 4.3 because it is not downgradable and also sets 'knox warranty void' counter to one.. (which cant be reset as of today)
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I search on various Android website and the last Samsung ROM for my country is the N7100XXDME6_N7100OXADME2_XEF but I can't find this... Seems that all the links for this ROM were Hotfile's one and as Hotfile is down...
Flash dr.ketans prerooted firmware odexed dmg1.. it has dev-host link.. and it dsnt matter if you flash another country's firmware..

[Q] Rom update without begin locked

Dear Experts,
I have T-Mobile Note II T889 rooted with Clear ROM 5.0 and android version 4.1.2. I have my phone SIM free so I can use any other SIM than T-Mobile. I need your help in updating my ROM to 4.3.x without losing unlock feature in addition to rooted ROM and minimal customization i.e. the same experience as stock ROM that has high stability and high maturity. what is the best ROM for that? . Does N7105 stock ROM work for me?
Thanks for Help
Phone unlock is permanent(one way process). You do not have to worry about it.

a) If you are 4.3 bootloader you can flash this MrRobinson's ROM
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23252070760975435
b) If you are 4.1.2 bootloader you can flash this ROM, download link on post#1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2636552
If you want to stay stock then you may not flash any other ROM's but if you wnt any custom ROM's then just read few posts in development forums and see which ROM suits your need.
