oh and i forgot the device comes up in the device manager as otter2-prod-04 ive installed the drivers from the android sdk
What you have is a Kindle Fire 2. Do not try to flash custom recovery on it until you visit the Kindle Fire 2 forums.

My kindle fire is stuck at FIREFIREFIRE bootloader ( the screen which has a kindle fire logo and an android logo above it)....
My conditions are like this:
Kindle fire - ROOTED
ROM - Kindle Fire Stock Rom
TWRP - Installed
FIREFIREFIRE - Installed
And i could'nt find 'kindle fire' in my windows device manager when i plugged my kindle on my pc...
Help will be appreciated...

Be sure to read the first 3 posts.
not finding ' kindle ' , or 'android device' on my windows 7 device manager...so how shud i get rid of it? has anybody experienced it?
Long press on the Fire power button does nothing - doesn't launch TWRP in recovery mode. Entering commands in a Command window from my laptop isn't getting through to my Fire. And, as I mention above, the Kindle Fire device is not available on my Device Manager
After reading the guide potestasx offered you, do you you understand why your device is stuck at the boot screen?
I think i've been stuck at boot loader due to lack of battery....
I fully charged it after that...
but its still stuck...
Cant find 'kindle' or "Kindle' on my Device manager...
So dont know whether i on Fastboot mode or Normal mode...
I assume that i m on fastboot mode...
i tried installing drivers from 'install_drivers' in 'kindle fire utiltity'...
but none changed...
Known Tricks
If you end up stuck at the yellow triangle, in KF Utility select Boot Normal, wait for it to say <waiting for device> and then press and hold the power button 20 seconds until the fire turns off, then when its off turn it back on. This sometimes happens, I have yet to find a clean solution If you end up stuck with a yellow triangle, do not EVER unplug it. Leave it plugged in. Check the windows drivers to make sure it isnt showing as "kindle" again. Fastboot is different and can cause this.
Please note: If your device can't be seen in fastboot mode, please make sure to install the drivers packaged with this, as it will show up afterwards. You can use the install_drivers.bat with the device plugged in for this.

Not quite. First of all, you're in the wrong bootmode. You just need to change it back to normal and you'll be just fine. The guide posted earlier has information on the different bootmodes, how they work, and eventually how to change them. From your description it should be pretty easy to fix.
You also need to pay attention to the second post of that thread as it will help you verify that your drivers are in order. The third post will give you the necessary tools to fix your problem and any others that may arise.
I will tell you this, after you've changed your bootmode it would be a good idea to reinstall TWRP and then use TWRP to install FFF1.4
Thanx a lot Thepooch...My kindle fire is working now....
thanx.... I m thinking of installing FIREFIREFIRE v.1.4...It has fixed charging mode and other..
It'll help if it happens further...
Thanx again
Your welcome be careful with it now
I thought it's working but it is doing the same thing again again... it is rebooting and sticking to the bootscreen again after using 5 mins.....Cant understand the problem behind it...what to do?

Are you able to boot to recovery? If so, you might try running a backup and then load a custom rom just to test normal boot. I've had bootmode issues twice with the stock rom (6.3 & 6.3.1).
Sent from my Kindle Fire
no i cant boot to recovery
How are you trying to get to recovery?
By using FFFv1.4a....

Run fastboot 5001 (full command in the guide thread).
If it says waiting on device, hold the power button until it shuts off and then power it back on. That should alow you to get into recovery.

ok let me try it..
Btw i m using stock version 6.3...
I tried updating it by booting it on normal mode
and going in settings but it shuts down as soon as i press 'update'

Yep, that'll do it. The stock roms were not built to update with root/recovery installed. I learned that the hard way, too.

Hey guys, I'm not sure how I got my Kindle stuck in a boot loop, but I need some help getting it out. I have this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889 for unbricking. The problem I run into is that for some reason the utility wont show my device at all. In my device manager on my computer it shows the kindle as Amazon with the yellow triangle. I have tried everything I could find to get my computer and thus the utility used in the above thread to pick it up and get it out of the boot loop. In case you need to know the ROM I tried to flash before I had this issue can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614004 .
Exact same issue doesn't connect to computer

If you are getting stuck at the ROM's bootanimation and it won't go any further, your system software is broken. You'll have to get to recovery or at least into fastboot mode to fix it. If you have the stock bootloader, you have no easy way to get into recovery, so you'll probably need a factory cable. Read this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668159
This probably won't hurt either...

Just contacted amazon about getting a new factory cable. Also, as much as I hate to admit it, I could probably use that guide

Okay so I plugged my kindle in with a samsung charger I had, and it turned on when I plugged it in. Now it is plugged in, and it can't get past the kindle fire logo. What should I do? The computer doesn't recognize it either

Download in use Kindle Fire Utility from the development section. Use it install window driver for KF, install TWRP, and reset boot mode. It is the tool for you. You just need to study how to use it.
Hope it helps.
Well I've searched the forums and I can't find anything similar, which leads me to think I'm just missing something really obvious, but this is really frustrating me so I need help.
I'm trying to use the Kindle Fire Utility v0.9.6 to install TWRP and FireFireFire bootloader to my first-gen Kindle, so I can install Hashcode's Jelly Bean. I think I've got the normal drivers working as it shows up as ADB: online, although Boot mode: unknown is also reported. When enter "Install TWRP" it says it's putting the kindle into fastboot mode, but my Kindle seems to have other ideas. It just reboots normally and the utility is stuck on "waiting for device".
I've read one of your fastboot guides, which said that inserting the factory cable then inserting into a computer should activate fastboot mode. Well I tried that with what I think was the original cable, and it just booted normally.
I some small experience with rooting, but basically I'm a noob. I do have some Linux systems handy if they're required.
Any help would be appreciated!
Can't help much since i don't have a kf1..
But i CAN tell you that the ORIGINAL cable is not the same as a factory cable.

OK thank you, I didn't know that.
However I think even if I did get hold of one of these factory cables, it wouldn't help much as I need to get this program to work primarily...
any ideas what might be causing adb to be online but boot status unknown?
Personally, KFU v0.9.5 worked better for me.
Exactly the same result with that version, I'm afraid. :crying:
Are you using a USB 3.0 port? Maybe that's why. USB 3.0 is high speed, so maybe the connection got messed up...
How old is your computer?
Sent from a bird... No, a plane... Wait, It's a Kindle Fire!
I'm afraid that's not it... It's a 4 year old mid-range Win7 64 bit laptop. I did root my phone using this computer... I think I'll try using one of the XPs that I have on hand to see if that makes a difference.
Well I've tried on two XP computers and I can't even get the drivers to install.
Oops...
OK thanks for your input guys, you've been really helpful.
I feel really stupid now - my kindle is actually a kindle fire 2. That makes sense. For some reason I thought that a second-gen kindle fire was the kindle fire HD, and therefore mine was a kindle fire.
Sorry for wasting your time.

How'd u figure that out?
Well I saw everyone talking about software version 6, and I thought it strange that mine had software version 10. I then did some research and found that there were two kindle fires that look identical. Apparently one way to distinguish is by looking at the software version.

i see posts from everyone thats rooting there device and messing it up that way...this is a stock device and the people that had it i can least say wasnt smart enough to even attempt to root or anything like that.
if someone could add my to skype to see if we can troubleshoot my problem that would be great. because waiting for responses on here is just taking more time...no offense to anyone im just anxious and would like to see whether or not this kf2 can be fixed or just throw it out the window lol
skype name = kenny-jackal

The RootPlus tool looks like it will restore partition images, which I believe you can download from another thread.

Root Plus does not come with saved partition images. Though, it will restore partition images saved using the tool or from other sources. If you choose to use a set of saved partition images from another source, make absolutely sure you are using the correct ones for your device or it will surely brick your device, permanently.
