CPU temp sensor - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

It's there a CPU temp sensor in the N4? If so, is there an app that will show me the readout?

Hi,
Yes there is a CPU temp sensor, you can use System Tuner on the Play Store (I use it) and you can have widget or notification icon, there is also Trickster Mod (but currently without widget / notification), there is surely another apps.
If you use a custom kernel like Franciscofranco or Trinity kernel they have her own apps with CPU temp indicator.

Hi,
I know what I say and I speak about the CPU temperature here, there is a CPU temp sensor and you can see two different temperature, one for the battery temp and one for the CPU temp:
In Trickster Mod -> CPU temp + battery temp, in System Tuner -> only CPU temp... and it's not the battery temperature.
So we have an indicator for the CPU temperature, and everyone can confirm.

I think this is depends on your used kernel. With Matr1x there is the CPU Temp. (And with many big Custom Kernels.

Hi,
All the custom kernel I've tested have the CPU temp reading. Maybe it's like with the international SIII where the CPU temp reading was to be activated in the kernel to be read by a third party app.
In any case here it's the CPU temp and the reading exists.

OK, so there is a CPU temp sensor right?

YES! , otherwise how we would have a CPU temp? And it's the right temperature, I mean for the CPU, 110 % sure.

What do you mean? Is it an option? My phone is smooth and fast but i think that faux123 app is better to downvolting etc., everything related to this kernel is customizable by faux123 app...

(Im using it 4.4.2 stock no root)
Yep, the xposed module only adds "more indepth" control to the regular app.

For a single reason : this is NOT Active Display (means screen always on; with only a few pixels lighten up to display time, only exist for AMOLED screens), AcDisplay by AChep, does not keep the screen on at any time, only when notification comes or when you press a button [or using proximity sensor]

why not? In theory it should drain more not less, all screen is on not only singles pixels like on amoled so question is lawful for me :good:
Has anyone tested the battery impact of the active mode? Is it awfull? Because having a sensor always active must munch badly on the battery no?

I use it for a few days and can say no battery drain, but i'm downgrade because the design of the new version is a big fail, because the other one is too easy to use.

Well...different games have different settings that you need to configure !
For example, for Subway surfers i had to enable 3 first seen boxes (Enable Custom Settings,Optimize Gl Shader etc)
You need to figure out which config works best for you

I know all of these. I do that in many combination but is no improvement ( well sometime slight but not reproductible). Do that with a 3D/performance tester and you will see.
