[Q] GB27 Google Calendar sync - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Is anyone else have problems with GB27 google calendar sync?

So far I have tried 3 different GB27 roms and have not had any problems with calendar sync on any of them.

Thanks You

Same here. No issues with calendar sync. Might want to reflash if that's the only issue. Or maybe delete calendar and reinstall it. I had to do that with voice on a jb rom recently. Just a thought.

I have downloaded and reinstalled GB08 andGB27 and can not sync my new stuff to google.
When i sync i get all my old stuff that was put on with my ICS roms. All Jellybean roms only post to my phone
so I can not share with my wife. I went back to ICS and everything is fine.

I think I may know what's going on. I noticed when I flashed to GB27 from ICS and then went to add an event into the calendar, my Google acct was no longer the default "M Calendar" was. You may have to switch it to your Gmail calendar then you can flash all day long and never lose any dates, events, etc, because they are in your gmail. How that helps.

One quick note of interest (And personally I don't know that anyone would really care) is that the default is My Calendar instead of GMail is because Google won't sync to Kies.
So if you don't care about Kies backups, then it's not an issue. (Just in case anyone is wondering why the default was switched.)

[Q] FB17 calendar snyc?

I just installed calks deodexed fb17 stock ROM, steadys kernel, and then hit it with overstews theme. (looks gorgeous and run infinitely better than the one click method I was previously running)
My question is regarding the calendar not snycing with facebook. I have snubbed manually, re added the account. checked all the settings, it still just refuses to snyc. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this and fixed it? or is this something I will simply have to live with as a result of my impatience to have ice cream sandwich?

Calendar Question

What setting did I shut off because my holidays are no longer on the Calendar? They use to be there before I exchanged my phone for a new one.
Thanks

Open the calendar app, settings, calendars, and tick the US Holidays box. And hit done.
First thing I looked for. That field or option is not there. I must have shut that option off some how. Any ideas?
Thanks

In settings-> accounts and sync, do you have a gmail account? The US Holiday calendar is through google.
Yes, I have 2 g-mail accounts. I checked that as well. Driving me crazy. For whatever reason that option just isn't there, I must have screwed something up somewhere.

Got it. I basically just manually synced the accounts, rebooted and the holiday option was there. All else fails reboot I guess. Thanks for your input it did help.

Sometimes doing things twice makes it work lol. And always reboot. Glad you got it working.

[Q] Is there any JB Rom that can successfully sync Facebook contact numbers?

Hi there, Facebook syncing is a feature that I miss from a custom ICS rom I used to have. I read somewhere that there might be JB Roms that support this feature but I haven't been able to find one, so before I give up I want ask you directly.
Now before you answer make sure to read this, what I am truly looking for are the numbers and not anything else, so please don't redirect me to HaxSync or FriendCaster because I don't care about high-res pictures or calendar events. If there is a third party app that can sync numbers i'll happily take it. If there really is no way to workaround this issue then, oh well. Thanks for your time guys.
Maybe Haxsync will work

geez
There is a workaround to just copy & replace ur contactproviders.apk
I have used it on a jb rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35867380
It enables u to sync contacts with pics. No calendar though
Make sure to backup orig file. Replace. Set permissions. Reboot. Clear fb, contacts cache. Reboot. U do have to manually join.
But for now m happy w/o getting any extra app can sync

You could try adding the fb account under settings. Or delete the account from your phone and add it again.

Hey, so I'm having problems syncing my Google calendar on my phone with the server. I keep getting a sync error in the options everyime l try to do so. Strangely though, when I download the official Google calendar, it works fine. I do have the Google calendar set as default on touhwiz. Also, I'm running Darth ROM and android 4.1. Thanks for any help.

For what its worth, I had this problem too. Never found a fix, had to just stop syncing my calendar altogether. Happened on this phone and on my evo shift, so its not device specific
Re: Syncing issue with Touchwiz Calendar
Wow that sucks. But there has to be a reason, unless no one uses touch wiz calendar

Idk, I think it was just me for some reason, because I looked online and tried some things that helped other people but nothing worked
Re: Syncing issue with Touchwiz Calendar
Alright, I think I just fixed it lol. I went and cleared data on Calendar Storage app, then tried syncing and it worked
