Waving Droid BootAnimation

This is the waving Droid boot animation for the galaxy nexus. It is basically A droid boot animation with a droid robot waving at you each time you start the phone . You must be rooted, and adb push it to system/media, or use Root explorer. I don't own a Galaxy Nexus, but here is the reason I made the boot animation: I do owe many thanks to the Anderson GN ROM team from here. http://rootzwiki.com/topic/12172-121911-for-403rom-anderson-ics-currently-v0531/. The Boot Animation is included in their ROM already if you are interested.
Here are the features:
Smooth (Trust me, extreme smoothness in unnecessary in a waving droid)
Tested, but might not be perfect since I do not own a GN
Containing original Ice Cream Sadwich Colors, eg. the dark, dark grey you find in settings.
(All the usual stuff, this is at your own risk)
Test it and let me know how it goes!

Then don't install it! You are shockingly rude! Make a boot animation for a device you do not own and you are unable to test. Send it to me and I will tell you it is shockingly bad. The only thing shockingly bad about this is YOU.

Since u guys love THEMECHOOSER so much I'm posting my Team Enzone Team's work here.. It will work on AOKP, CM10 or any Rom with ThemeChooser.. I have 3 insane team mates Lozone, Rayford85 and napster..
How to install:
Download the theme, go to settings/themes and APPLY THE SYSTEM THEME AND REBOOT. Now select THE Theme & apply. You may get an error: 'Sorry, this theme is missing assets for your device's screen size'.
Ignore that and apply it anyway and REBOOT.
If your device uses a dpi LOWER than 260, you need to raise your dpi to 260 before trying to apply. once its applied, change your dpi back as you like & reboot.

naa.. sense is laggy and after update to full sense all is see is loading icon :'( though 1 thing i noticed is when the phone is in deep sleep sense doesn't drain battery at all.. aosp does like hell.. ..
and the last pink one shouldn't be there my gal wants me to use that :banghead:

New Statusbars Unleashed!!

This is a collection of Halo themes from all over, all in a centralized place, both HDPI and XHDPI. I will be adding both types for each theme but that takes time so please be patient or pm me with a request to have it changed. Will work with any ROM that has Halo.
**Disclaimer**

I'm not responsible for any damage that occurs to your phone during anytime, use at own risk.
*WARNING*
Some system themes affect halo and your flash will not change halo if you have a newer theme, in those instances you would need to either modify the current theme and remove the halo image from within the theme apk or use a different theme. It is also suggested that you switch to default system theme before you flash as it may lead to complications
* Xhdpi Downloads will be in Second Post, Hdpi will be in the third and various icon packs will be in fourth*
*FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO RESIZE ICONS YOURSELVES THIS IS NOT MANDATORY TO THEME HALO*
I have been asked several times how to resize so i figured i would post it here and help out others.
These are the steps that I personally took to get halo themes working and correctly sized, its fairly easy and if we all just resize our own images it frees up time for new creations
OK so first things first u need Esfile explorer and images easy resize....both are in play store. THEY MAKE YOUR LIFE EASY!
Once you have that download the zip you want....it will prob be under sdcard0/Download in Esfile....next you are gonna wanna navigate to the file you downloaded....long press until its checked then click menu and find extract...then just press ok...no need to change any thing...it just creates a folder with everything. After that go back to downloads and find that folder and open it up. you will see a text file and a folder SystemUI, click on the folder, then u will see a folder called res, click on that and then you will see halo_bg.png that's the image u will resize. So now that you know that location, open up the image editor go to the image and for the infuse resize to 113x113 (note is 130-150, play with it to get a size you like) then press save, it will save to a folder on SD card internal called imagesblahblahblah (blahblahblah being the rest of the name that I can't remember), go back to es file, find the imageblah folder, open it and there's a folder called resized images find your PNG rename it to halo_bg.png then save...once its saved copy it... Now go back to where you extracted that earlier folder of the download, navigate to systemUI/res/halo_bg.png and then delete the original PNG file, then paste the one that was in resized folder, once you do that and back out to parent folder of the zip (ex sdcard0/download) once your there you are gonna wanna rezip it, to do that you long press to check it, hit menu, then find the option for "compress" click it, overwrite the old copy, then go to zip themer and build the zip into a flashable zip, turn off halo (normally tap till the circle on top can be seen then drag halo to it (highly recomend), reboot into recovery, flash the unzip of whatever your using now (mandatory as it can give dual colors, don't know why but mine did) clear cache and dalvik then flash the update of whatever you made a zip of, ex of mine halo_tentacle.update....once that's done reboot and you should be done. Let me know if that works if not PM me and let me know what steps you took and I will help you fix, it seems like a lot typed out but once you do it its really easy

If your on a note make sure to grab the one for xhdpi otherwise it won't work I uploaded it for that reason

Ok thanks because honestly I wasn't 100% sure but I assumed that I needed xhdpi because the only Ghostbusters one that I saw was xhdpi and since that guy in the Note 2 Beanstalk thread said he got it working, I just figured that had to be it. So luckily I had the right one anyway but thanks again because it's always good to know for sure whenever possible!

Ofc that's why I created this thread the OP of the other is very busy so I am trying to lighten the load, also the nexus is sized a fraction bigger just so that it fits better on the note and the notifications are better looking

Ok well I must've missed something because it didn't work for some reason, but it's also weird because the update zip seemed to flash ok and nothing negative has happened either. I'm gonna have to dig into it and see what I missed, but just out of curiosity I have a quick question if ya don't mind. Was I supposed use the template and remove the folders like the instructions say on attacks thread? You didn't mention it so I thought it wasn't necessary but I'm also sure there's something else I could be missing. I made sure to "update edify" the theme zipper app, I added the xhdmi Ghostbusters theme zipper file from here, selected always for the undo file, and it successfully created the update zip file. Then I went in and shut off Halo in settings, rebooted into recovery, and then flashed the update zip that I created and it seemed to go well, but nothing changed at all? Anyway if you notice there's something obvious I'm missing I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks

Let me look into the filesystem
File system looks good to go did you flash a different theme before ghostbusters? If so you need to use target.undo and flash that reboot then go back to recovery and flash the new one. Also is that fails try flashing a hdpi one and see if that is your needed one different models may have different ones

Ok no I didn't try any other themes before this one but you might have given me an idea on what happened. The very first time that I flashed the ghostbusters update zip, while it was booting up I realized that I forgot to turn off Halo first so I went in and disabled Halo and then flashed the undo zip...but I didn't reboot first before flashing the update zip again. Do you think that might have caused the problem? Also one other thing is does that update zip have to be flashed from where it was originally created (for ex the internal sd card), or can it be moved to the external and flashed from there? I didn't think it would matter but ya never know

While the Winter Olympic Games came and past, as they always do. We look forward to what is yet to come. But, in the meanwhile, what is here today may not be here tomorrow. Therefore, I present a new treat of an Android KitKat 4.4 Easter Egg, go ahead, download and enjoy!
It is recommended for best performance to use a Custom ROM, and with the speed changes I suggest the User Permissions settings to rw-r-r-T the “T” represents Sticky which is a Special Permission usually located in the lower right menu of Root Explorer. Enjoy!

This is my second post of this nature so please take it easy on me.:laugh: I have and will be adding more to this collection as it continues to grow, currently there are over 140 "NON-FLASHABLE" Bootanimations that have been formatted into QMG format that can be installed into the system/media directory.
A few notes to start, there are 4 files that I tend to use within the Bootanimations which are:
1) Bootsamsung.qmg = this is the large file that holds/starts the bootanimation
2) Bootsamsungloop.qmg = this is a rather small file can either loop or end the bootanimation
3) PowerOn.ogg = this is file that plays sound during the bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg.
4) Shutdown.qmg = this is a mid-size file that plays a bootanimation as the device turns off, best way to activate is to select Power-> then reboot
While shutdown.qmg’s can be customized to work on different bootanimations, I have developed some bootsamsungloop.qmg’s to function separate of the bootsamsung.qmg, this allows the ability to fully customize the bootanimations that you would prefer to view. These QMG’s are listed in a Category called Intermezzo’s as they are Interchangeable without interrupting.
​A few things to keep in mind.
A custom Bootanimation works best with a custom ROM, it simply does, Stock ROMs do not finish the same.
There is usually a delay between the loading of the Bootanimation and after the Safestrap loading screen appears.
QMG files have limitations some will not be as clean as Flashable Bootanimations, while others will present better.
Bootanimation’s require the use of both bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg (using one without the other will produce undesirable results.)
With PowerOn.ogg sound files I recommend when setting permissions to use rw-r-r with the “Sticky” Special Permission, sound is often more consistent.
I am only working on Bootanimation’s for this Kollection at this time. Feel free to see if these work on other Samsung Device’s and Tablet’s at your Own Risk.
Please, give credit where due, there are many Bootanimations here, if I left someone out please let me know, if you want to post my work, please extend the courtesy.
With so many Bootanimations it is often hard to remember all of the sources that I pulled them from, the largest source Developer that does simply incredible work and is simply known throughout the Android community for his work is JaeKarr99 which most of the Bootanimations that appear in this LiBRaRy KoLLecTioN are his, I have simply accepted the challenge of using a difficult themeing system and configured it the best I can to keep these Bootanimations in the best form possible. This was done through the guidance of xessus as his walkthroughs and many many countless hours of attempting this work is hopefully showing a positive. Other themers I will mention are Crakanug with the Black Ops II Bootanimation, CyanogenMod with CM, BKJolly, and the many others, if I fail to recognize I apologize it is not intentional nor out of disrespect, please forgive me.
Quick instructions: ​Download zips: extract-> go to extracted folder-> cut & paste-> system/media-> change permissions to rw-r-r (see diagram below) Reboot and Enjoy!
#NOTE# Prior to moving rename existing files in system/media to bootsamsung.qmg.bak, bootsamsungloop.qmg.bak, and shutdown.qmg.bak
I recommend removing the PowerOn.ogg file rather than renaming it, move it to the SD card.
Detailed Instructions: Walk-through
For this Bootanimation demonstration, I am going to be using JaeKarr99’s “Marvel” Bootanimation and KalKat579’s QMG/OGG work for both Audio & Visual. Begin by downloading through the Dev-Host Secured link:
Marvel_Bootanimation.zip​
Download the above link and begin with them in the file labeled “/”-> “sdcard”-> “/” “download”. Since, these files are in a .zip you will need to Extract them, go ahead and press down on the Marvel_Bootanimation.zip file and select Extract. This will Extract the items to the SpeedSoftware folder which is still located on the sdcard. You can either elect to “Go to the Extracted items” or if you ever need to manually retrieve them just exit the download and go to SpeedSoftware-> Extracted-> Marvel_Bootanimations, then Cut and Move these 3 files and select the “home icon button” in the upper left menu bar or go to the-> “/”-> “system”-> “/”-> “media” and paste the 3 files into this folder. Select the PowerOn.ogg and Move this File to “audio”-> “ui” then paste the file into this folder. Once in this folder select the PowerOn.ogg and press down and select “permissions” change to the below set-up which will display as RW-R-R once completed.
**NOTE** The above is often referred to as “644” I suggest Subscribing to this thread and to keep it somewhere, as this configuration is COMMONLY USED in other System Folders…
Exit back to the media file and scroll down the page to find the “bootsamsung.qmg” file press down on this item and select “permissions”-> change to reflect the RW-R-R once completed. Next, repeat the same step with the last file which is bootsamsungloop.qmg. At this point you have taken 2 .qmg files which happen to be the Bootanimation of the “Marvel” logo changed the permission to function properly on boot and installed the sound to run with Bootani. Go ahead and Reboot the device. You are all done. Enjoy!

Just replace the bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg with the ones in your system/media folder.

You are correct you can just replace the bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg with ones in your system/media folder, some of these Bootanimations will allow you to replace not only those two just named files but also the shutdown.qmg and the PowerOn.ogg(which is found in the system/media/audio/ui) a great example of one that uses all 4 of these files is the "Black Ops II" I recommend on the PowerOn.ogg to set permissions to RW-R-R as required, however use the "Sticky" option with Root Explorer. Works best that way!

The OP has been UPDATED, there are now over 90 QMG Bootanimations available for download, I've uploaded 10 new ones today listed towards at the top and there are 2 new Matrix downloads listed as well so look for those, too. Sure can, I'll work on it tomorrow.

So I tried the Stat trek boot animation, and replaced the 3 filed the the system/media folder, and for some reason it will show the boot animation but when my phone turns on it will restart a few more times and go through the boot animation again. After a few times of doing this, it will finally turn on and stay on... It's just very frustrating sometimes, this also happens when using other qmg not animation replacements... I just wanted to know of maybe I did something wrong or how I could fix this from not happening. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, I can't be sure what it is that is causing the problem, however I have created a revision of the Trek Twist bootanimation. I will be posting it up shortly with 30 new bootanimations as soon as Mr. Wizard flips the switch over at Comcast. I will be going through earlier bootanimations and making revisions to popular versions that need refreshing.

One thing you may want to try with these QMG files. When setting the permissions, I've found I get a more consistent bootanimation run if you also select the "sticky" advanced setting, if done correctly the setting will display as rw-r-r-T . The sticky setting is in the lower menu option on the right in file explorer.

In order for me to provide you with a flashable bootanimation zip, you would need to have a custom recovery to Flash it (Safestrap does not count.) If you need any further assistance that is not available in this tread, I do have another thread that is a bit more friendly, with greater detail that can be accessed here.
I plan to have a major update sometime today in Post #2.

I have posted my BIG UPDATE of 40 NEW BOOTANIMATIONS to Post #2. I’ve made 5 revisions to the following bootanimations; 1) Batman, 2) Star Trek Twist, 3) AeNomolyll-1, 4) Dr. Who Time Travel (* it is not in Landscape still extended), and 5) Reactor. Please, make sure to check these out they include all 3 QMG files bootsamsung, bootsamsungloop and shutdown. Also, on a final note check out Simpsons (kanged). I’ve added my own kanged ending to it, if you prefer to see the alternate ending please feel free to download and install the Intermezzo version (no hard feelings.) Enjoy!
