Sony Xperia S Bootloader unlock Problem - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi all,
I've got the Sony Xperia S and unlocked the bootloader and rooted it once and flashed it with the AOKP, but that didn't work, so I tried the Cyanogenmod 10.0 (Jelly Bean). In summary I think it was the wrong Combination of kernel and custom rom, because it didnt boot anymore and got stuck at the logo.
So I closed the bootloader again and installed the official stock rom from Sony, and all got fine, luckily.
With some more reading into right forums and better knowledge I got the right custom rom and kernel and tried to unlock the bootloader again, but suddenly it didnt work.
Message: Failed (remote: oem unlock 0xF (und noch mehr F) )
I did all with fastboot and the right adb drivers, the phone is installed correctly.
Yesterday I asked for my problem in a shop and the guy said, that the bootloader of any Sony device would close completely, if the (right or wrong) unlock code is used for too many times (like the limit of 10 times).
If he's right, I've got a big problem. But can't I open it with an alternatvie method? Or is there just any mistake?
Thanks for any answer
Chriszo

i dont know, but ive already relocked and unlocked many times without error ,
try to do it again and be sure to input the correct 0xKEY

CM10 contains it's own kernel so could never be a wrong combination of rom and kernel. Did you actually unlock the bootloader or just root the phone? Sounds like your bootloader was locked and you were trying to flash still

Thanks for the answers.
I don't still know what constellation I really tried to instal the kernel and firmware, but I think it was an advanced stock kernel and then the firmware of the aokp. After that I tried the Cyanogenmod, but the device just didnt boot, there was only the logo.
I remember to have taken the kernel named ics17.elf and the advanced stock kernel with the official 4.0.55 build number.
The the device was rooted and the "sd card" was not wiped, but the data of the apps were deleted.
So the bootloader was open because the kernel can't be flashed with a locked bootloader.
After that I flashed the aokp and then the cyanogen mod.
Because of no booting I relocked the bootloader and installed the official firmware from sony.
Since then I try to unlock the bootloader with this damn error

I try to unlock with another computer. Maybe it work and its a simple solution. To unlock my bootloader i need to use my wife´s laptop.... i try in my compputer many times, install drivers, uninstall, and a lot of tricks but fastboot give me "error" all the times... lol

I just chatted and called with the Sony support (nice to hear great english at the phone ) and again got to hear, that they aren't able or allowed to give any information about the bootloader because of the possibility to loose the warranty of the phone.
I dont know really where my problem is but I think the code is not working any more, although I cant imagine of that
Is there any other way to do that? Or do I just do a stupid mistake ???
Thanks
Chris

No no no!
Another guy on xda did it with FlashTool on locked bootloader. I was able to do it until the logo...
Apparently you only can flash roms I think, not?
Anyway Sony supports Open Developer Community as well, they give you info about bootloader here:
unlockbootloader.sonymobile[dot]com

No, I cant flash any rom, therefore I need an unlocked bl. And the stock rom from sony isnt available in the internet, just with the Sony-mobile-update-service.
Well, of course I tried the way Sony dicribes on this webside, as explained below -.-

Got the solution ??
Hey I have the same exact problem and i did the same things as you did ... did get a solution?? please inform me if you did.....

I got a glossy black brick... I think.

Hi everyone, on this past week I've been trying to get me XP back to life... but with no success.
For starters I woke up one day to find that my phone has powered off by itself (no root nor unlocked bootloader), tried to power it on but no response, had to remove e reinsert the battery for it to boot up. Some days later same thing but when i turned it on it started a bootloop, repaired with SEUS.
This week it made the same thing and i had to repair it with Wotanserver, but when i let it alone it would reboot... everytime it entered the sleep mode it would crash and reboot. Tried flashing some roms on the forum with no luck... now wotan sees my phone as a R800i when it really is a R800a and SEUS keep saying that me phone have the latest update.
Yesterday it stopped bootlooping... it don't even show the "Sony Ericcson" phrase.
I'm new to android phones got this phone in oct/2011, didn't installed CWM.
So if someone could try to help me i would really apreciate.
Ok so, download flashtool and flash the latest r800i firmware or the any r800a firmware. As long as you can enter flash mode, your phone is fine. The reason the roms didn't work is your locked bootloader.
Nevermind, Potato13 beat me to it before I finished typing.
Thanks for the replies.
Yes I tried flashtool with several rom's either R800i and R800a from .42 to .62, from US to HK. Neither made my phone show any signs of beeing better.

try to unlock your bootloader.. then flash r800a fw..
So to get this right - You already flashed different stock firmwares to it and that stuff still happened?
Should actually not happen... to me that would indicate that there is some kind of hardware problem since you never rooted the phone nor unlocked the bootloader to really mess things up.
I would send it in

Isn't unlocking bootloader only for custom rom's? Well thats what i think it is.

Yes I was thinking on doing so but i already flashed other Fw's on this phone isnt my warrant already void? I'm saying this because I dont think I would have the money to pay the repair service.
As far as I am concerned, only rooting and unlocking the bootloader voids your warranty. You have done neither so you should be fine .
I asked Sony Customer support once how to handle my not booting phone and they adviced me to flash stock firmware - So I would figure they can't deny you services because of doing so.

Ohh I see thanks for the answer, really appreciate.
---------------------------Update(05/14/2012)--------------------------
Sent the phone to SE as sashake recommended, and turn out that the problem was with the hardware itself.
SE gave me a new unit as it was still covered by warranty.

[Q] Bootloader Unlock Allowed : No......

Hello, I recently acquired an Xperia S, I love this phone, the screen is absolutely beautiful and it has the ability to be fast ! But, I got a problem, that, apparently, even in this forum, nobody can resolve : I rooted my phone and I installed the CWM6 recovery... but now... I want to install a KitKat ROM, and to do so, I need to unlock my bootloader, unfortunately, despite the fact that my phone is sim-unlocked, my operator still have control on it because I heard that my bootloader cannot be unlocked, I can't even use the fastboot mode because of my operator stupid restrictions !!!!!! :crying: Please, you're my last hope, do someone got a solution to my problem, even a solution that is costing money, I got to use a CM10 custom rom for non-unlocked bootloaders to survive actually, I can't wait longer... Thank you !
We all want to get it.

[Q] Failed to unlock bootloader

Hi guys,
I've tried everything, but after successful root I can't unlock bootloader and flash recovery mode. Fastboot is also not running. The stock ROM is awfully slow and I wanted to flash a new one... That is what I see when I enter the service menu (see the attachment) :/
Please, help :c
Xperia S LT26i (2012, I think)
Its just not allowed to unlock your bootloader.
Nothing more to say.
Send thanks to Orange, where you device is from.
You may try other ROMs based on stock one, but optimized. As said above you can't do anything about it. I would suggest you to update the phone to a new one with unlocked bootloader, SXS too old nowdays with it's S3 CPU.

Unlocking bootloader killed my C1905, help please!...

Hi everyone
I wanted to try going from the stock Android 4.3 to cm12.1.
My phone was bootloader locked but unlocking was allowed.
So I followed the process on the sony website and got the unlock code and entered it.
Phone then refused to restart, stuck on booting screen.
Eventually using Flashtool, I found a stock rom and reflashed that, still wouldn't boot. Then I relocked the bootloader and now it boots again.
However, it now says sim card is invalid and refuses to let me join the phone network (I'm in Malta, using the Go network).
Also, I'm now unable to reunlock the bootloader as it says failed when I try doing so using fastboot and says it cannot be officially unlocked when using flashtool. Worryingly for me, in settings it now says "no" for unlock allowed (it used to say "Yes").
So now, I've got a phone that otherwise works normally again except that it doesn't actually work as a mobile phone! Please help me someone as Sony have already refused to do anything to help, their customer (dis)service people simply point out that once you unlock the bootloader - even if that itself causes the problem - they will no longer help you. Cheers, thanks Sony, no way will I ever buy any product from you ever again!
What a crap day...

i think you have missing something after unlock bootloader, and you can't give any wrong or false to sony. because you're do this with your vault and you're is vault your warranty. and sony have give you a warn sign before do this, and you accepted because you do it.
so no any vendor problem if you fail or your device is bricked.
after unlock bootloader, you need to reflash your stock rom again and do a full wipe data and cache from flashtool before flash any rom. after wipe and flash you can check your device is boot up perfectly without any problem. you only missed that. try to reunlock if still can, but try to unlock your bootloader using flashtool too.

Well on Sony's site it also says that any repair will be chargeable once you do unlock, so I would have expected them to have done something at a charge not to totally refuse to help at all. I accept what you say but I DID follow the instructions exactly, I unlocked the bootloader and rebooted it as instructed and from there it went wrong - refused to boot.
Anyway, I have tried several stock roms including even using the Sony tools and letting it do a "repair" reflash, all to no avail. "Sim Invalid" is what I'm left with and what I have noticed when flashing every stock rom with flashtool, what is missing from the "Wipe" list is cache, the only option there is "USERDATA". Is there something wrong with the flashtool perhaps?
Even when I relock the bootloader using flashtool (which I seem to need to do every time even after flashing a stock rom) it still seems to regard the phone as unlocked, or at least when you go the "BLU" screen it shows only the option to relock each time. Something has definitely screwed up here.
I got a UK stock rom via Xperifirm and used Flashtool to create the TFT from that. Still no joy. I'm assuming something is wrong with the sim lock, somehow, but how to fix this? I'm realising that reflashing stock roms doesn't totally return the phone to factory condition, so what am I missing here please? Is the phone totally stuffed now or is there still some way to repair it?
Ok so further to this, I just gone into service menu -> Sim lock and I see this:
[x] Network 0
[x] Network subset 0
[x] Service provider 0
[x] Corporate 0
[x] SIM 0
So is the phone locked or not? What does the x mean? The phone was previously fully sim unlocked as I bought it without a contract from Amazon. Is there a way to fix this please?
help me please
i have xperia m, after unlocking bootloader it stuck on bootlooping, i have not enable usb debugging...any way to fix it?

Trouble to unlock bootloader on Xperia Arc S (LT18a)

Before you ask me, yes i have searched through lots of threads and i only create a new one because i still cant solve this. Perhaps someone here knows.
I have an Arc S with locked sim and "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"; and i've done hours of research, tried to get the unique unlock code for it and i did get it but i can't unlock it because as its bootloader state is "No" i cant get it into fastboot mode. So later i found i could only do it with that paid method of omni something which is about making a bridge in those contacs under the Sim.
So up to date, almost 2018, do i still have to pay more than this phone costed me to get a quite decent user experience with it? Because i wont.
I would really appreciate if anyone knows a method to do unlock BL with my current status. Thanks!
Edit. I gave up, im just looking to get a new GB rom that works in a locked device (now rooted btw) because flashtool doesnt seem to like 4.0.4 roms and i get system.sin errors while flashing any rom that is not 2.3.4 .
So does any of you know a rom that at least has a working download link? 70% of threads i search about this cointain dead links.
No Xperia Companion does not recognize the device (yes tried lots of things like debug on and off) and the PC Companion client that the phone comes with from factory always gives error while installing, so im pretty much stuck with ginger bread .ftf from the webs and flashtools. Thanks.
