Date Items on new ROM...how the hell...

Hi,
I can't beleive that I have to use 2 lines to show date Item on today with this new ROM! How can I hack the reg in order to optimize space on my today screen?
try this:
Hi Ecraseur,
Edited : I was not able to download your file but found it under another thread.
Seems to work quite nicely. Only question I have, it says "@466" with me, just before the time is displayed. What is this and can it be taken away ?
regards,
Ruud
What is the @NNN number
The @NNN number you see on your display is Internet Time, as defined by Swatch.

Best Regards
Hi Ecraseur,
OK, nice read. I now completely understand what it means.
At @562, I was completely informed
Now, how do I get it away as I hardly ever have any need for it.
Or is this not possible. I mean, there are different formats possible for
the date and the time, but the time has no mentioning whatsoever of this Swatch-time.
regards,
Ruud
You can ask to the developper

Greetings,
I'm the developer of TodayTime! I've read all of your comments and suggestions and I'll check the file, make some changes and post a new version later today!
New version will include support for date & time formats either on the left and/or the right of the screen (and maybe the center!), format support for swatch internet time, and font-size overriding.
Please check back later for a new version
Great! Thank you very much for the plugin
Is it possible to add an alarm bell time if it's turned on? Just like the normal WM5 plugin? And maybe the active alarms time too?
I personally don't use swatch time and I prefer alarm time
The changes are made, i'll test it and upload a new version tomorrow!

Hi any update on this?
Hi, i'm posting a little wm_paint bug.
When switching from poirtrait to landscape mode, time is hidden by a scrollbar if any.
Any way to check the existence of the scrollbar?
I'd like to see the clock icon as in the original version also (nuttin important however).

Don't think u can with SmartToolKit
You know CTScheduler is cheap for what it does, set up clean RAM every 6 hours, restart phone when asleep, text the gf without me having to use the phone and more........
I have been using snooze for about a year now with no problems, it is a free alarm program that can do about anything.
Here is where you can download it.

Yeah you can. Pull up the start menu and arrow right to get to the next page...then choose "My Schedules" then press the right soft button and choose to create a new schedule. You then have the choices of scheduling phone restarts, programs to run, etc.
Hope this help!

Anniversary SMS (autosend)

Hi,
I am looking to find a simple utility that would send a pre-defined Birthday / Anniversary sms to my contact based on the dates already available in Windows Mobile Contact information.
I have tried searching on this forum and on the net but to no luck. Does anyone know of any such software. The closest I could get was RJ SMS Scheduler but it requires us to feed in a schedule. I wish to find something that can look up the contact list and pick dates itself.
Thanks,
Umesh

Message taken! you could say I am lazy, unintentionally though, mostly due to lack of time. Intentionally, I would like not to miss a single event of the 400+ contacts I have on my phone list.
Can only imagine how glad they would be to hear from me on their special days and how happy I would be to know that I would never miss any good wishes for any of my good friends.

I checked this software but it is quite similar to so many others available on net. It requires us to set up a schedule to send the sms to particular contacts.
Instead I am suggesting the app could pick dates itself from the Window Mobile's Contact List and send sms from templates, we create and save in there. This way we do not have to add birthdates / anniversaries to Contact List and then set up another scheduled sms through a third party application for our purpose.
I hope I have managed to explain what I am looking for.
Thanks,
Umesh.
Ah, I see what you're asking for now. I don't know of anything that can do that, but it would be a good idea!
Any thoughts from anyone else to share knowledge of such an application ?
Thanks.
Not that easy
I'm looking for such application since a long time, but no luck. The application should also consider the following requirements:
MUST HAVE:
- choose the correct phone number, cuz the text messages should be sent only if a mobile number is available for the specific contact;
NICE TO HAVE:
- built the text message with a variable string where automatically should put the name of the contact;
- should have the possiblity of exclude some contacts from the auto-SMS in order to avoid sending the pre-configured SMS to your girlfriend for example
Will see if someone can manage it in the future.
P.S.: I have more that 400 birthday to remember
Ciao!

Thanks Mohit for putting this together. I've set it on my system though had some issues with display on Touch HD but was able to use the controls and set it up. Couple of questions that I had in mind -
1. Does it have to be left running at all times or can I at least shove it off my running task list.
2. Every time I add a new contact and his / her birthday do I have to update this software too to add the new contact to it's list.
But otherwise it seems to be a nice piece of work.
Thanks,
Umesh.

Hi Umesh,
Thanks,
well no need to keep it running as i am using notification que to run it at the designated time. like an alarm. so u can just exit after setting up every thing from options->save n exit
and about updating new contact u just need to open the app and click options-> "add contacts bday", it will automatically fetch the new one and update it. also it will remember the last message u had set up.

Can someone please let me know how to re do it so its in 24 hour mode please.
Hi,
What HTC model do you have?
If it´s WM, go to settings-system-local configuration
Over there you can change to 24hr format

I think he meant the way the forum displays time.
I hate the am/pm-stuff, and it would be nice if we could have the possibility to choose which time format to use.
In my case, I'd like to have 23:24 instead of 11:24 pm.

Yep thats what i did mean!!!
I take it theres no way of changing it then?
Oh!
Sorry I did not get that
This is part of the forum itself and would need to be changed by admin and not something you can do with your settings. Personally I don't mind it, but if we receive enough requests for it to be changed the admin may look at it
There seems to be an add-on for this:
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=97469
I find it strange that this kind of functionality isn't standard in the forum software. As an example, in phpBB the time format is fully user-customizable.

Multiple Lttle Discoveries (not nessicarilly helpful I dont know).

1. When in the browser and you turn your phone sideways at the sametime as you open the keyboard everything disappears and its only the webpage no browser bar. nothing. I have a screenshot iI attached with this.
2. When I import my contacts in the secret menu an XML error shows up every time. Theres another screenshot below of this.
3. I have a question. Has anyone ever tried breaking into the phone with a penetrator virus while the phone is synching or connected to the computer and/or program?
4. There is an iPhone web app that works on the KIN. It will give you the ip address of your phone and tons of other things. its a DNS Tool. I will give you the link once I find it. I have a screenshot of this attached.
5. I discovered another browser shortcut: tel:###-###-####

I've never heard of anything like that. Maybe Microsoft put some wierd implementation of XML (like they do with everything) that has some different syntax involving the file transfer or something (honestly i don't know what i'm talking about here cuz i can't really explain what i mean). They just do things like that so i'll see if i can find anything out about these errors.

That may work for getting through some security measures on the phone but isn't that dangerous? I'm not going to try that because I actually use the phone. Maybe John will try it.

These are some good finds. They could be useful for my silverlight ui idea if i find a use for the ip address (like maybe if i found some way to send the silverlight stuff to the phone by targeting the ip address).
Overall, good findings!
Thanks. Im not going to try going in using a virus becuase I use mine. So yeah.
