I just download the Sons of Android 4.2.2 ROM Build 3, and am using PIE navigation with it. The problem I am running into is that when I have expanded desktop enabled, my PIE navigation tool's open Notification Bar won't work. Is there any fixes to this?

hi all
i just used the latest PA and found this awesome pie UI thingy and would loved to use it as a replacement to the nav bar we all know and loved as a change but theres an issue it needs expanded desktop to work but in expanded desktop i can't gain access to the notification panel ...so any help ?
When I use expanded desktop, I would access the notification and quick settings via gestures on my home screen. Gestures are an option a lot of custom launchers have.
Smart Statusbar or NotifierPro.

ppl just NEED to start new threads...they cant take the time to search the forums and read threads that are already made...smh
Now to answer your question.. you are wrong you dont HAVE to have expanded desktop enabled to have PIE, you can enable bare styled PIE adn set nav bar to 0 in hybrid properties and then you will have PIE with a status bar
PS- next time read the paranoid 101 thread that is linked in my sig and dont make new threads...it answers most questions...
Hey,
I have a question about this feature in the Mmuzzy 4.2.1 French Vanilla Rom for the Galaxy Nexus. I know this in the wrong section, but I don't have permission to post since I'm new. But with the extended desktop enabled I am also running the LMT app for the pie menu. However I would like to know if there is any way to enable the notification bar while extended desktop is on? Even if I use gestures to bring up the notification bar it is still blocked from opening, that goes for the quick menu as well. It doesn't have to be visible on screen at all times, but it would be nice to at least open my notification bar by swiping.
Notification bar
Hello.
I use another ROM (cm10.1) with the extended desktop enabled an LMT too.
In order to make available the status/notification bar I use an app called Smart Statusbar that allows to you show/hide the statusbar swiping on the top of the screen.
Hello again
I just see that. On the last nightlie build of cm10, you can enable the extended desktop with/without statusbar.
hmm, maybe I'll switch to cyanogen mod, I just loaded the mmuzzy mod yesterday. I originally was on bugless beast, but since there hasnt been an update in a while I figured I would switch. I usually like to stick to stable vanilla roms, but I could give it a shot
This makes me happy

This just made my phone the best it has ever been! Pie Control with Smart Statusbar and Extended desktop. Priceless...
Hello,
Does someone have an issue with expanded desktop on gravitybox?
I can activate it but I cannot get the status bar / drop-down menu to come back when I swipe down.
I'm running 4.3 rooted and unlocked.
Thanks!
But you use stock 4.3? Gravity box is designed for cm ROM based and all function could not works properly
Yes, stock 4.3.
I know that, however everything else is working perfectly.
I would like to hide the status bar and only have a battery bar as well as the drop-down menu but I don't know how to achieve this.
Many people asked about the Expanded Desktop option not working properly on the Yu Yureka.
I will explain why & how to FIX it.
What is Expanded Desktop:
Expanded Desktop hides the status bar as well as the navigation bar or any one of them that u want. It can also be referred as FULLSCREEN
SOLUTION:
Expanded Desktop has 2 options - whether to hide both Navbar & Status Bar or only Nav bar. To choose them, u have to follow these steps:
1. Enable "On Screen Nav Bar" from Settings - Buttons
2. Go to Settings - Display & Lights - Expanded Desktop Style
Status Bar Visible - This will only hide the Navigation Bar
Status Bar Hidden - This will hide both Status bar & Nav bar both
3. Tick anyone u want.
You are done. :highfive:
Now u can disable "On Screen Nav Bar" from Settings - Buttons if u want
For shortcut of Expanded Desktop u can add it to Quick Settings (Notification Drawer)

How can I expand all notifications on the pull down status bar with rooting. Using Nova launcher prime. I've tried using the one and two finger swipe down but it doesn't seem to work?
use gravity box.
status bar settings - notification drawer style - expand all notifications
is there a way to do it on a none rooted device as well?
almost certainly not
