When I Tried To Root My Xperia S LT26.. It says Error ADB Not Installed Correctly
Then By Following This Step,I can Able to Install .....
sa0103 adb too but I just solve it for a moment.
Try following my solution
1.) Install Sony sa0103 driver manually from device manager
( Device Manager / Action / Add Legacy Hardware / Select from list / Sony sa0103 / Have disk / Your downloaded driver folder)
*You can find driver for Xperia S (ICS) here >> developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-s-driver-for-ics <<
2.) At Device Manager go to Portable Devices you may see Xperia S as a MTP, then update driver software.
3.) Select "Search automatically for updated driver software".
* When finished 1st step I also reboot my computer.
** I always turn on USB Debug.
*** I already have PCC & Sony Update Service installed.
**** I'm using windows 7 unlimited x64.
Whats The Problem Is now its Not Working Properly [Refer Below Image]
GAVE PLENTY OF TRY'S
Try 1
1. Connect your Xperia S to the computer
2. Open Device Manager and uninstall all Sony drivers.
3. Disconnect your Xperia S.
4. Connect it again with USB Debugging turned off. Wait for USB drivers to install and disconnect.
5. Turn on USB debugging. Connect to computer.
6. All USB and ADB drivers should be installed!
Try 2
can't install sa0103 adb too but I just solve it for a moment.
After step 3 I finally see device Sony sa0103 working.
* When finished 1st step I also reboot my computer.
** I always turn on USB Debug.
*** I already have PCC & Sony Update Service installed.
**** I'm using windows 7 unlimited x64.
TRY 3
Try disconnect and uninstall "Xperia S" and see what happen next and then install it again.
(After that uninstall, I forgot to tell you that I reboot laptop too) Then Reinstall..
TRY 4
I had to update the driver under Control Pane/Device Manager/LT26.
Just running the automatic update made Windows change it from LT26 to Sony sa0103 ADB Interface Drive
TRY 5
2 drivers in the computer, Lt26i and Sony ADB, I was fighting with Sony ADB because the first one was working correctly with PC companion. The solution was to force Lt26i driver to be reinstalled with a manually chosen driver and Sony ADB just installed correctly, finaly I have root!.
ALL The Steps I done But Still I get error [Device Cannot Start 10]
Please Help I Was sitting With this Problem More than 5 hours
==============================================================================
Here The Solution What all I Did
1.) Install Sony sa0103 driver manually from device manager
( Device Manager / Action / Add Legacy Hardware / Install The Hardware That I manually/Show all Device/ Have disk / Your downloaded driver folder)
*You can find driver for Xperia S (ICS) here >> developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-s-driver-for-ics <<
Next Uninstall Xperis S From PORTABLE Device Disconnect Device
Open RoOting Tool kIt http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Connect Device Your ADB Install & START WORKING
Like This WAY It Worked For Me ....
If it not worked for you Follow Any 1 of Above steps

Re: Rooting Problem With ADB Driver On Xperia S
Try this.
Download flash tool then install it.
The folder where you installed it there should be a driver folder where you can install drivers for xperia s.
Then use flashtool to root.
Good luck

Already I Have Installed Flashtool,Pccompanion, sony Upadate Service In all these things Phone is detecting
Only In Rooting Tool Kit Says to check ADB
And if i check I has error That [Device Cannot Start 10] ReFer Image Attached With This

Re: Rooting Problem With ADB Driver On Xperia S
Try: remove the Sony's driver. Take a look at flashtool\drivers (u said u've installed flashtool, and I assume it's the latest). Pick fastboot mode, flashmode, and anything that has xperia s in it, just in case. Run that as administrator. I only installed that driver, and have flashtool, fastboot, adb, and PC companion all working fine in my win8.

[SIGNED DRIVERS x64] Eugenia Project MTTY USB SIGNED Driver for Windows Vista/7 x64

Hi all, I'm the Eugenia Project developer!
As you know, for making your device to work with mtty on Windows Vista or Windows 7, you had to reboot, disable signed driver control, install the driver and go on with mtty.
Ouh, and after a reboot you'll get a not working device if you don't restore the "old - new" driver!
From now, you won't have this problem anymore!
With the Eugenia USB x64 Signed Driver you will only install the driver without any reboot or disabling driver signature controls, and it works even after rebooting!
This driver will work with MTTY and RUUs (including CustomRUUs) flawlessly and without any complicated procedures!
What's included in the package:
*- A signed certificate for the driver,
*- The driver,
*- The installer.
Installing the driver:
*- Decompress the archive
*- Make sure your device isn't connected to USB
*- Run the file named "RunThis"
*- Connect your device to USB.
If the device won't work, you have to tell your system to use the new driver.
To do that (on Windows 7):
*- Right click on Computer, then click Properties.
*- Click on Device Manager
*- Expand "Mobile devices" and double click HTC USB Sync (or unknown device if it is recognized like that)
*- Click on the "Driver" tab, then click on the "Update Driver..." button
*- Click on "Browse my computer for driver software", then on "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
*- Click on "Have disk..." and select the driver in the folder where you've uncompressed the archive.
*- Double click on Eugenia HTC USB Sync
It will say that it's not digitally signed from Microsoft, but install it anyway. It will work.
As the result, you'll have.....

Hope you like it!
Well I will try, because from now I use VMWare to Flash in Win7 x64 !
I don't know if it work, because finally Windows found a driver on windows update and install it (11.9 Mo, if I remember).
I flash a new ROM and it's OK !
I am using Windows 7
trying to install the driver, and go into the device manager.
I can not find "mobile device" from the list. why?
What next to ensure it is using that driver?
Hi,
i ust tryed this and it didnt install anything, it just said the driver was present and didnt do anythin.
when i checked my device manager it didnt say "Eugenia HTC USB Sync"als when i tryed using the driver without restarting and pressing F8 to remove the Driver signing, MTTY doesnt show USB.
could this be because there s already a working driver?
Thanks for help
MG
That what I've done:
1. Reset my diamond to bootloader.
2. Connect to my win 7 x64.
3. The HTC Usb sync appears in Device Manager.
4. Update to your Eugenia USB driver.
5. Done .
But the connection in bootloader mode doesn't change to usb - it's serial - I can't use mtty.
PS: My norton AV 2009 detected security risk in Runthis.exe and removed it

Ya same here i installed it and could not flash rom before i was able to flash in "signature disabled"mode but now it also don't work... i can not find the mobile device in the list it just said unknown device ... the only i got around was by running back up in PC and going bacck to the time before installing this driver...
On my 3 PCs running Windows 7 x64 all works.
Don't worry about the antivirus warning, it's all clean.
It recognizes it as a virus because the .exe file is compiled from a batch, but I repeat, it's all virus free.
However, have you tried to tell to your PC that it MUST use the Eugenia USB Driver?
I mean in Device Manager!
I'm using it right now on my HTC HD2 (Leo) for playing with the stock SPL and it works flawlessly even on that device.
Let me know...
IF it still doesn't work, I'll retest all on other PCs.
P.S.: As the last "hope", try to delete the old drivers used without the signature enforcement
Workls like a charm for me!
Guys the download link is no longer working... Can someone please re-upload?
i've hit 3 issues:
(1) I ran runthis.exe as non-admin by accident.. ran it again as admin and got error that cert already existed etc but the problem is:--
(2) "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)". the device works 'ok' when i boot win7 x64 into disable driver check via f8
(3) but mtty stops responding when i type 1 letter
but this looks good! thank you for your work

Once you got Flashtool installed in your PC go into your Cdrive. There you would find a folder called "Flashtool" open that folder and navigate to find another folder called "Drivers" You find a .exe called "Flashtool-drivers.exe" and install that into your pc with this exe you would install the necessary drivers for your xperia device of choice. The .exe will ask for permissions click on yes for every single one of them. Mission accomplished.
already try that , still cant solve my problems . i also tried use pdanet , still cant get it working , guess my pc 'refuse' to install the drivers . sigh ~
Have you tried using fastboot via adb. Just curious because I couldn't get drivers to install through fastboot but it did work through adb.

how to use that ? my adb is set up correctly .
I'm talking about via adb in flashtool. Under fastboot mode. Have you tried using that instead of normal fastboot option.

yeah , have tried that . still when my phone reboot to fastboot mode , it asked to install s1boot fastboot drivers , and i cant install them :| . already try to install the drivers in flashtool folder and it didn't work for me . guess i have to give up on this .
Test another USB, and check if the driver is compatible with 32-bit
This is what worked for me, every time. I was having same issues as you. Just select to choose your own drivers and select the fastboot adb folder and make sure "search subfolders" is selected. Works every time.

Use USB 2.0 port (black).
Hi,
I've tried every USB port on my computer (win 7 x64) and still no way to install that driver!
The device stays in fastboot mode for a couple seconds only, and then shows SONY logo and starts charging battery.
Device SONY Sola with stock firmware 6.1.1.B.1.54
Flashtool drivers are installed, but it always complains that they aren't, and device manager shows that "s1boot fastboot" device for that 1 second, if that.
Any sugestions?
Alright... I found my mistake!
When installing the FlashTool drivers, I only checked the ones for my phone (sola). I went back and installed the last two (Fastboot and flash mode) and all is well now.
So for the record, I succeeded by instaling 3 drivers:
Sola driver
fastboot driver
flashmode driver
Hope that helps anyone!

I Know what you're doing wrong, had the same problem!
Once you've changed the path. Let flashtool install the drivers, make sure you click on fastboot drivers aswell.
Once installed, go to run, type in cmd and the the commands you want to run.
E.g. Fastboot flash boot boot.img
dude i m having the same problem as yours
did yours work out???????????
must reply.........................
i made it all and i get it finished but blank
why i have a blank LCD i flashed that version

I had the same problem with my Xperia Z5 Compact and I solved it by installing the driver posted here: http://d-h.st/KYl
Thanks to ozzmanj1 for the help!
To install the drivers under Windows 10 I had to reboot and disable driver signature enforcement (Shift+Reboot, then advanced settings, and disable driver enforcement).
Cheers,
C.

LATEST SAMSUNG USB DRIVERS FOR MOBILE PHONES 1.5.27.0
FOR WINDOWS 8 / 7 / Vista / XP / x86 (32 bit) & x64 (64 bit)
installable via "setup.exe" OR via "have disk" method
AND
LATEST ADB & FASTBOOT TOOLS (.exe files)
ADB & Fastboot unpacked from Android SDK
<<< DOWNLOAD LINKS BELOW! >>>
INFO:
This driver is the latest as of 18th July 2013. This driver works on Win 8 & 7 & Vista & XP, 32 and 64 bit.
This driver allows you to use Odin, ADB and Fastboot interfaces with your phone.
You can also download latest Odin, ADB & Fastboot Tools below. ADB and Fastboot binaries are latest as of 18th July 2013.
WHAT'S THE HASSLE:
Samsung Drivers package's installation mechanism doesn't work on Windows 8 for many people (driver installation doesn't even start), so the point is that the drivers have to be installed manually. In order to do this I unpacked Samsung Drivers package .exe file usingso that the drivers can be installed via "have disk" method. I used these drivers succesfully in Windows 8 Enterprise x64 to connect my SGS i9000 to ODIN3 1.3. Odin sees the phone and can flash firmware, reformat partitions etc.
Mod Edit link removed
INSTALLATION 1:
1. Download the driver INSTALLER.
2. Uninstall previous Samsung USB drivers from "Programs And Features" and "Device Manager".
3. Run the installer "USB_Drivers_1.5.27.0.exe" and proceed with the installation steps, finish the installation and restart your computer.
4. Connect it to your computer via USB cable.
5. If your phone is still not correctly recognized by Odin and the driver installer finished installation successfully - skip the 2nd method and use the 3rd. If drivers didn't install correctly (e.g. the installer failed to launch or failed to finish installation) - try the 2nd method first.
INSTALLATION 2:
1. Download the driver RAR ARCHIVE.
2. Uninstall previous Samsung USB drivers from "Programs And Features" and "Device Manager".
3. Unpack USB_Drivers.rar to some location, eg. C:\.
4. Run the installer from "C:\USB_Drivers\SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones\setup.exe" and proceed with the installation steps, finish the installation and restart your computer.
5. Switch your Samsung phone into download mode (i9000: power it on with Power + Vol UP + Home pressed simultanously).
6. Connect it to your computer via USB cable.
7. If your phone is still not correctly recognized by Odin - try the 3rd method.
INSTALLATION 3:
0. This is the "have disk" method. You have to follow every step in this guide
1. Download the driver RAR ARCHIVE.
2. Uninstall previous Samsung USB drivers from "Programs And Features" and "Device Manager".
3. Unpack "USB_Drivers.rar to some location, eg. C:\.
4. Switch your Samsung phone into download mode (i9000: power it on with Power + Vol UP + Home pressed simultanously).
5. Connect it to your computer via USB cable.
6. Your phone should become discovered by Windows as some device. In my case, Windows has found my SGS i9000 as a "Gadget Serial" device.
7. Go to Windows Device Manager. Right click on the device your phone has been discovered as (eg. "Gadget Serial" in my case) and choose "Update driver" option from the context menu.
8. Choose "Search my Computer...", check "Include subfolders" option and point the updater to the folder where you've had unpacked the drivers .rar archive to, eg. C:\USB_Drivers.
9. The driver should install automatically.
10. It may happen that after the installation some new "unknown device" ("Samsung Modem" in my case) would appear in the Device Manager. Complete 7 & 8 step for that device and any other new device that may appear afterwards.
11. Restart your computer.
12. Done!

USB mode works only on one port
Hi
Followed all the steps and got my Galaxy Ace 5830i to connect in USB mode but it works on only one of my laptop's USB ports.
When I connect the phone to either of the other two ports, it isn't detected on my laptop and the phone doesn't detect a USB connection. It only charges.
Incidentally, the port that works is a USB 2.0 port and the other two are USB 3.0
Any ideas?
Thank you! Worked as stated in OP. My phone was detected as "Gadget Serial".
Followed the steps in OP and true it is, my phone is now recognized by my PC running Windows 8 x 64bit.
Thanks a lot!

PLEASE HELP ME solve this issue i'll be really helpful.
I'm on Windows 8, and have ADB working fine (was running V6 super charger and the services patch before i came across this)...but don't know for sure what is causing your problem...
I'm not sure about the command lines, as i'm not on an unlocked bootloader (so never run fastboot mode), but it looks like you're getting hung up because of the SEMC flash driver...which i have had problems with before...
One thing Windows 8 is no better at than any other windows OS...is device drivers...I've had all kinds of trouble with different machines and an LT28at...
I would suggest starting by removing the device entirely from your machine through device manager...its not a big deal, it'll only take a few minutes...
USB connectivity set to MTP mode, set USB debugging to ON in dev options, and in xperia uncheck 'install pc companion' (you don't need that messing with anything)...also make sure pc companion is not running for all of this...
Phone on...plug in USB...let windows recognize and install the MTP driver...unplug phone and turn off...
Phone off...plug in USB...let windows install 'Android Device' something or other (forget what it calls that driver)...unplug phone, and leave off...
Phone off...hold volume down...plug in USB while holding volume down...let windows install SEMC Flash Device/S1 Boot Driver. Until i installed my phone on Windows 8 in this exact order, without letting other programs muddy it up...I was getting no where fast...but ever since, its worked great...
After that, you should have no issues with adb or other script services...If you're running PC companion, completely exit it before installing these drivers and when using any cmd prompts...same with flash tool...i don't know exactly what it is, but these phones seem to flip out if too many programs are trying for their attention haha...
also, make sure its not something completely obvious...such as if you're rooted, and super user is sitting behind a locked screen asking for connectivity permission, and you just didn't happen to check...that had me stumped for a good 5 minutes trying to reinstall cwm from a windows batch file yesterday...
THANKS

AND YEAH MAN i reinstalled my windows due to some reason so now it is a fresh start and it'll be easier and cleaner this way so now what do u want me to do first ? i tried connecting my ion to my fresh windows 8 with only jdk and sdk installed without any other drivers and without flashtool and it came up like this
so what do u want me to do . if possible tell me in a bit of detail so that i don't spoil things now........
ok bud, we'll figure this out...
to start, what exact phone do you have? is it actually an lt28h? Or is it just a LT28at, or 'i' with the JB .211 for the LT28h? And what are you trying to do, exactly? root the phone and get cwm on there? Or are you trying to do development of your own?
I'd start by deleting that device from your machine...just right click and uninstall device form the screen you just showed...
sdk and jdk, as well as the latest version of Java, shouldn't have any effect on this...
before doing what i posted above...install flash tool...and in the drivers folder...install the flash mode driver...that one is some how tied in with the way windows recognizes flash mode...so if you do that first, you're less likely to run into problems when you force install it (by plugging in the phone, while off, with the volume down pushed in)...it worked for me in the reverse order, but i got a second prompt for the 's1 boot driver' AFTER i installed the flash mode driver from the flash tool driver installer...
you DO NOT need ANY other drivers from that installer...it lists all kinds of different xperia phones...none of them are relevant to the Ion...that is, unless you need the fastboot driver too for an unlocked boot loader...but those are the only 2 you'd need...
after you've installed flash tool and that single driver (remember on windows 8 you have to go through some crazy process to install unsigned drivers...i can walk you through that if need be, you'll need a high level cmd prompt for it)...make sure you've fully closed out of flashtool, and are positive its not running...just do what i initially posted to install the actual phone drivers...
after you get that SEMC flash device/S1 boot driver stuff sorted...you can very easily root the phone and install cwm, with just 2 different scripts...thats all i did, as i'm on an Lt28at with locked boot loader...
I'd do it step by step right now with my Ion, but i totally f'd it up about 3 hours ago (not at all related to this, i was messing with a stock kernel to chase a majorly annoying gps crash/reboot bug...might've gone way too far)...
if you're running development, or need fast boot options...sorry, i'm out of experience at that point...but, if you're looking to get root on an Ion with JB, i can guide you through it very easily...
OK man thanks a lot for all that explanation . well about your question I have a LT28h with deodexed .211 jb build . And I basically want my system to work out adb and fastboot so I can flash files or root my phone on different Roms. And I want to test some kernels too for which fastboot will be needed too . hope you can help

ok. Have you had this specific phone working on a windows 8 equipped machine?
your problem could be as simple as the infamous 'unsigned drivers' problem...flashtool's driver's are noted by windows as 'unlicensed' or 'unsigned'...where Vista and 7 would prompt you to install anyway, 8 requires a few additional steps first...In my case with windows 8...i saw the issues with flashtool, but never received any notification through PC companion...just saw that certain drivers were not installing properly no matter what i tried...sorry, i guess i should've started with this haha...
the SEMC flash device driver is the one windows doesn't get alone with very well...not sure why...
to set up windows to install unsigned drivers, follow this:
http://www.tabletroms.com/forums/vi...how-install-unsigned-drivers-windows-8-a.html
after completed...you can install the flash mode driver from flashtool without issue...and you can also finally get windows to stop flipping out when you connect the phone in either flash mode or fast boot mode...and install the damn driver...
i have no experience with this phone and fastboot mode...but i've done everything else you just mentioned with windows 8...so you'll definitely get this working...

LATEST SAMSUNG USB DRIVERS FOR MOBILE PHONES 1.5.29.0
FOR WINDOWS 8 / 7 / Vista / XP / x86 (32 bit) & x64 (64 bit)
installable via "setup.exe" OR via "have disk" method
AND
LATEST ADB & FASTBOOT TOOLS (.exe files)
ADB & Fastboot unpacked from Android SDK
<<< DOWNLOAD LINKS BELOW! >>>
INFO:
This driver is the latest as of 2nd Feb 2014. This driver works on Win 8.1 & 8 & 7 & Vista & XP, 32 and 64 bit.
This driver allows you to use Odin, ADB and Fastboot interfaces with your phone.
You can also download latest Odin, ADB & Fastboot Tools below. ADB and Fastboot binaries are from 13th Feb 2013.
WHAT`S THIS ALL ABOUT:
Samsung Drivers package’s installation mechanism doesn’t work on Windows 8 for many people (driver installation doesn`t even start), so the point is that the drivers have to be installed manually. In order to do this I unpacked Samsung Drivers package .exe file using UniExtract 1.6.1 so that the drivers can be installed via “have disk” method. I used these drivers succesfully in Windows 8 Enterprise x64 to connect my SGS i9000 to ODIN3 1.3. Odin sees the phone and can flash firmware, reformat partitions etc.
SAMSUNG USB DRIVERS 1.5.29.0 INSTALLER
SAMSUNG USB DRIVERS 1.5.29.0 RAR ARCHIVE
ADB & FASTBOOT TOOLS (.exe files)
4. Run the installer from "C:\USB_Drivers\SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phon es\setup.exe" and proceed with the installation steps, finish the installation and restart your computer.
12. Done!

Wondering how I get the ADB and Fastboot tools? The link only takes me to a google drive preview page listing the tools but no link or other means of downloading.
Also, I tried the installer (.exe) on an XP SP3 system but tge New Hardware wiard gave an error saying it couldn't find the required section in the inf file.
Thanks.

How do I uninstall drivers from the device manager? What is the name I should look for inside Device Manager? Does it even appear if the phone is not connected to the PC?
I have already uninstall from the Programs and Features.
Anyone has the archive folder version? The google drive link is dead.

I'm a noob, haven't been trying computer writing since my days in hole punch shool.
However I have an uncanny ability to locate and modify, "Long file names, Deep folders"
And an recently been relearning html code 123 release 4 is old school now. However trying to locate the usb files on my SGH-T599N I've seen these source read files... which when emulator read or html read are directors for the device... I changed the device's use of this as a source. And =chmod the file to refer to my modified copy...
USE IS SELF RESPONSIBLE ANY CHANGES TO THE DEVICE COULD VOID WARRANTY AND/OR CAUSE UNDESIRABLE CONSEQUENCE.... U HAV BEEN WARNED
Try location; /system/framework/com.future.usb.accessory.jar
And; /system/framework/com.future.usb.accessory.odex
Perhaps a replacement file, and/or ignore file, or use emulator to change read file to replacement file.
P.s. just a thought CmeL8r
Thanks for these!
Is it just me, or the links are dead?
