Anyone knows what we can expect?

JB, right?

Actually...
6.1.G.0.0 ECO Mar 18, 2013
6.1.A.2.55 ECO Mar 18, 2013
6.1.A.2.50 ECO Mar 18, 2013
All of them certified today.

Its probably not JB, JB seems to be like 6.2.xxx FW

My guess is the 6.1.A.xx are patches to ICS, and the 6.1.G.xx is the JB stuff.

A Lot!
It should be 6.2.B.X.X

Even the alpha is 6.2, it's nonsense to "rewind" version numbering. My guess: pre-JB "getting ready" ICS builds.

Hi!
I think it's ICS kernel... Probably it will be opensource and will can be downloaded via developer.sonymobile.
BTW. .55 was able to update some time ago so this way we can update to JB 'without' PTCRB certification -> it will be certified but no any word about this.

Re: [XS] 6.1.G.0.0 certified today!
No use for speculating it as ICS firmware....definitely JB!

Why you think this is JB?
6.0... is GB
6.1... is ICS
6.2... probably JB
PTCRB can certificate rom day before or after release (like .55) so don't be so sure...
Else you can see that leaked FW from DoomLord is 6.2.b.0.68

Re: [XS] 6.1.G.0.0 certified today!
I think its not jelly bean. Jelly bean will start 6.2 may be...
Any way waiting for JB.. But without any bugs...
If official JB is with bugs means also no problem. Using PAC rom v.19.3.3 JB 4.1.2 . Fast and smooth as hell...
Also we have 4.2 rom in development.. After sony released the kernel source code we will get that rom more super

Maybe Sony will provide to us AOSP with this build? Maybe they build AOSP and want to make it public?
Build number is so strange...
It would be great idea and milestone to every Sony user and others vendors!!

Actually not strange. Xperia U had this weird release before, 6.1.1.C.1.0, turns out, it is a carrier customised version.

I'm far from making any false sensations. Maybe only branded version comes in may, maybe not. We'll see.
Enough with these rumors, it'll come when it'll come. Otherwise it's setting people up for disappointments.
It is not confirmed that Xperia s jellybean update will come to everyone in may,for example the galaxy note is updated in some countries but according to this carrier the jb update for galaxy note is expected to release in may

Please take closer look on the table with Sony...
Xperia S 6.1.A.2.45 - v. 17 Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
6.1.a.2.45 is ICS!!
WE CANNOT BE SURE THERE IS MISMATCH WITH SW VERSION OR ANDROID VERSION!
This is useless in my opinion...

I guess that is software version of current sw and that is planned to upgrade to JB in week 17. I bought phone in Sweden and 6.1.A.2.45 is latest software for that country.
I really do like Sony products (my Xperia S will be a solid phone for a few years atleast), but the way Sony is releasing updates to our phone is just sad. It's not like Samsung which has gazillions of phones and i would image they'd have some problems in releasing updates in time for all their models.
Good thing that community is ahead and has a lot of 4.1 ROMs and a few based on 4.2. +1 for xda devs :victory:
Another speculation/rumor thread? With all due respect this is ridiculous. An admin clearly stated that these (future) threads are to be locked

New Xperia S update coming in the form of 6.2.B.1.XX

Good news
Back in June, we reported of a new Sony Xperia S (LT26i) firmware update that was rumoured to arrive in early July. Well obviously that did not come to pass, but apparently a new update is still on the agenda for Xperia S/SL owners. Sony pretty much confirmed as much on the official support forums, saying that it will have build version number 6.2.B.1.XX. There’s no ETA for the update, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.

Sure they will...most of Xperia S users only think that Sony will only fix the problems in their phone (Xperia S) only because they (Sony) did reply and respond inside SXS forum...talk about typical Xperia S user that think of their own importance and forget about the others (Xperia SL,Acro S and ion)...

And yes, this is keeping me away from flashing PROPER Custom ROMs, which means that some people (incl. me) will have to stick to 4.1.2 forever...
Envoyé depuis mon ONDA MID en utilisant Tapatalk 4 Beta
I actually prefer 4.1 ROMs on xs coz they're much more stable compared to 4.2. I have had battery issues with 4.2 ROMs on xs. Hope Sony release a faster, more stable and more efficient 4.1 rather than 4.2. Lets not forget xs runs on over 2 year old cpu.
[OT]My Wildfire S runs with CM10.1 nearly better than with Stock 2.3.5. But let's not forget it has a CPU that was already 2-3 years old when it was released (ARMv6 generation). [/OT]
Just saying...
