I just got my Nexus and wanted to run the Google Maps 6.0 update. I noticed the update doesn't even show up in the market by default, only when I seach for the Maps App and click on it, it shows the Update Option. However when it tries to install the update an error shows up saying the Packet-Signature is wrong. Tried it a couple of times, rebooted and so on. Nothing helped.
So far I haven't been able to find anything on the Internet regarding this error and the Nexus. Is it only me?
You are not alone. I got the same problem. Maps and Google + cannot be updated.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
The Maps 6.0+ update and the latest G+ update both worked fine on mine the other day.
Maybe clear the cache in the market app?
I just got my Gnex 2 hours ago. Maps updated fine for me.
try clearing cache/data for the market app.
Seems to be a problem with the first German handsets which were sold with the already installed patch (and unlocked bootloader). Someone in another forum wrote that it seems like Samsung put their own version of Google apps on which results in this wrong signature message.
one solution would be
https://plus.google.com/u/0/100306073783323857197/posts/C1n3KpuYTEp
another solution would be to install the google factory image
http://groups.google.com/group/android-building/msg/43c3a418144fc6c5?pli=1
and then the patch yourself. This solved also the problem for many german users.
Or just wait a bit until a new OTA update hopefully fixes the problem Samsung or anyone else caused who preinstalled the patch for some German handsets.
An icon popped up today informing me that there's an update for the voicemail app. It downloads the update, but then gives me an error "Sorry, there was a problem installing the update".
I am running Calk's latest ROM 2.8.1. My current voicemail version is T.5.2.0.24.
Has anyone else had this issue? Does anybody know where the update is saved?
I was having a major issue with this too. I believe it's a connection speed issue because I finally got it to download the update via wifi. If you don't have access to wifi try updating your profile and prl on your phone if your using a leaked modem
Hello anyone who could help me on it.
A few days after a factory reset, I have been witnessing an error when I try to download or update from Google Store.
What is happening is every time I try to update or download, nothing happens! It just show the message "processing download" and nothing happens after that! Even with stock apps from google or sony it doesn't update!
And if the download starts it stops when it reaches 256kb!!! It never happens to me! And the problem isn't my internet connection cause I try it on others and get the same result.
Mine apps, stock apps, doesn't update and I can't download anything from Google Play. I need to fix this, but I just don't know how.
I've already tried to reflash the firmware, use the UPDATE SERVICE.... No changes!
I tried everything that I could... So, please, anyone help me here.

you tried to reflash whole firmware + factory reset still the same ?
then maybe is your google account problem ?
Is there anyone experiencing this? I have re-flashed again and its the same. Only why i can get it stable is to install an update from apk mirror and then unistall the update in applications. Unfortunately when my phone reboots it happens again and have to do the same thing over and over.
It seems to be issue with gesture controls. I seen some had this issue with Decembers update. By reverting back to buying control fixes it temporary. Anyone know how to fix this or will I have to wait for an update?
So I have been receiving notifications of an OTA update, but clicking on it never opens anything. No update shows up inside the settings.
Does anybody have any solution for this? OR is anybody facing the same issue?
Attached a video recording showing the same...
Please help!!
MIUI is such a garbage ROM. Always full of bugs.

Have you unlocked your bootloader. If so then you will not be able to install or get an ota update. Instead you can flash your phone using miflash
Just go to settings and search 'google play system update ' you will tap on said option and you will see the command to update and install,
That's how I fixed mine
