I would update to the newest version of CWM or TWRP.Do a complete wipe and try to install the custom rom of your choice.Hopefully that will take care of the issue.Good luck!

Hey man,
Tried updating CWM but there is still green banding. I have tried to Odin back to stock ICS, then flash to Jelly bean. On ICS, I still have no banding for front facing camera, but as soon as i flash stock jb the banding appears for the front facing camera still. Thanks for trying tho. Any more suggestions?

Flash stock JB in Odin then boot straight into stock recovery and do a factory reset.

Or call Tmobile if it persists anfbget a warranty exchange. Unless its withinb14 or 30 days depending on where you live and exchange it at the store.

Thanks guys but I just tried flashing stock jb and factory reset but yet the issue is still there. Heres a screen shot below. It seems that jellybean breaks my front facing camera. Ive had this phone since launch so warrenty is a no go. Im open to any more sugestions if there are any. Thanks for the help guys.

Looks like a ccd sensor array gone bad. But, you say it works using ics. That's strange. Looks to me like the hardware has failed.

Uh... If you had the phone since launch then you still have at least till may to get it RMA. You have a year plus if you have Tmobile insurance 7.99 it extends your warranty and get 5$ overnight shipping. Look into that.

Having trouble getting the camera to work thru stock app or any other for that matter. The rear and front camera stoppd working as well as the flash. No water damage or anything and I was on deodex stock EI22 then I just upgraded to FC07 cuz I was tired of the update notifications and I thought it would fix my cameras and flash but no such luck. Anyone know what the problem may be or how to fix it. Thanks

Try to odin to stock fc09 and see if you still have the issue if you do then it is hardware issue. Go here to get stock FC09 and all instructions.

Thanks Taz. I forgot to mention I am rooted fc09. And I used odin. I'm starting to think its hardware too but I didn't think BOTH cameras and the LED would all go out together. I was hoping someone else who was rooted would know a fix or know of some app that was known to conflict wit the camera operation. I'm tryin not to have to unroot and take it back to the store for repair.

If you odin to stock and it still happened its hardware... your going to have to bring it to sprint... you shouldn't techniically have to unroot because their policy states that if its hardware they still have to work on your phone... if its software they still have to also but they are supposed to bring you back to stock first... but better safe than sorry, unroot and bring it to sprint for repair... only way if it happened on stock unrooted also...
i was out getting some pretty damn good ice cream tonight phone was working fine.. go to check time and black screen... lights for back and menu came up but screen is black... also after batt pull found that its still black but phone boots up and you can unlock it.. i think its just a bad phone but could anyone help me find out whats going on?

I didn't have this problem after I installed Triune II, but if you suspect the ROM is related, do a backup and install a different ROM to see if that resolves the problem..... just a thought and takes less than 5-10 min.
What does the screen look like in download mode or in CWM?

Hi All,
I have been using 4.1.2 few days now, and I'm really confused. This is not as smooth as expected. Launcher jerks quite often, not much but much more than in 4.1.1. Am I only one with this issue or do someone have similar experience..?
Thanks !

No, I am using original factory image. Only thing done is rooting by flashing SuperSu. I think that should not cause jerking..? Or have I missed something..?

I did "clean-flash" with literally full wipe, I don't see any differences in smoothness compared to JRO03c.

try a different governor/scheduler or different governor settings. i like ondemand/deadline with a sampling rate of 15000/up threshold of 98%.

There were very few changes to the launcher in 4.1.2. Most dealt with orientation on larger screens (like the Nexus 7). So I don't see how it would be any less or more smooth than 4.1.1. Most likely, the user didn't do a clean install or they are just noticing small lags more because they are looking for it.

Cannot agree more. :good:
Maybe it's just a placebo effect but I think autorotation (landscape to portrait and vice versa) animation seems more fluid here than on 4.1.1 which I considered little jittery.
Thank you everyone. I am sure this jerks more than 4.1.1 in my device.. But if it works normally for everyone else then the problem has to be in my device/installation. Installation should be clean (done according installation script). One thing I'm wondering is Google Wallet. I downloaded image with wallet, but it does not seem to be enabled in my region. But neither that should cause jerking..?
You probably need to flash 4.1.2 drivers update. Check this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1930640
I flashed AOKP 4.1.2 and got back my smoothness with it.

Thank you for the tip ! I'm just more confused.. are these drivers really missing from official google factory image..?
The stock image comes with all the drivers and binaries. Maybe turn it off and back on? I have absolutely zero lag and have about 30apps in total. Maybe close the ones you are not using?

Ok, thanks ! I have to try monitor apps if some of them causes lag (high cpu usage or something). If lag continues then I think reflashing might do the job.. Seems to be unique issue so something going on with my device.
Thanks everybody for tips & thoughts !

ASOP roms may not have them, but should be included in stock.
Do a nandroid backup, flash and test. It is a very very small file to flash. It helped me with AOKP (AOSP).
Before flashing over 4.1.2, I flashed over a 4.1.1 and .... I think a got some additional smoothness, but .... as there is not accurate procedure to measure smoothness, could be only my sensation.
EDIT: 124 user apps running smooth with AOKP
No lag here 53apps try XenonHD smoothies ROM in my experience

seems quite a few people that i know have been having issues since upgrading to stock OTA jelly bean. constant crashes and battery drain. the stock messaging app seems to crash the most, apparently. does anyone know what's going on? i'm on xquizit JB, so i've only experienced some battery drain, some times...

Maybe he wants to try a stock jb Rom or is curious on what's is going on.
I think it's partly corrupt media files or people not factory reseting after the ota.

Hello!
I have tried looking for other people having this problem but found nothing!
The problem is, when watching a video, it will run perfectly but when the things that let you fast forward/pause/rewind go away the screen pauses, but the audio continues on! So now I have to watch videos on YouTube and even the gallery with the bar at the bottom!
No one else is having this problem?! If anyone knows how to fix it I will slap that thanks button!
