Sup man. You make the shift to the olé note 2?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app

YES!
Slimroms are the best, so glad to see it starting for note 2!

Looking forward to Official Slim Bean ROM.
Looking forward to the "Official" Slim Bean. Meanwhile, thanks for everything and keep up the great work!

Just to be clear the rom is known to boot just fine, even if untested. Its running CM's kernel so apart from possible bootloops it should be safe.

Re: [Rom][4.2.2] Unofficial Slim Bean - t0lte [Build 2.x]
Booted perfectly. Haven't tested much yet but so far only issue is camera FC (which you're aware of already).
I'll run it all day and report.
Thanks Dev

Went for another round of this ROM. It's a pretty good one though, I like it! Once the camera / recorder issue is resolved I can see it as a daily driver. Everything else pretty much worked for me. The only thing that won't is probably and apps in relation to the camera / recorder (e.g. barcode scan). Thanks again! PS- I've attached an alogcat, and I hope I did it correctly. If not, sorry.

Thanks for the log however it doesn't show anything. Might I recommend using terminal emulator vs a logcat app .

Can get some up if you would like, but it pretty much looks like stock at the moment, our main goal was making it very stable and increasing the performance over stock.
Would anyone be interested in creating a boot animation for us? We want something unique to the ROM, open to idea's, so whatever you want to do, we will review it.
Were looking for someone to test the toro version of our 2.3 release, all other devices have reported no errors so this should as well. If you want to test and confirm, heres the link http://goo.im/devs/crossbones/test_releases/Crossbones-2.3.0-toro-JDQ39.zip
We had some downloads but no one has reported back, how is it running?

Re: [ROM] [AOSP] [4.2.1] Crossbones 2.2.2 [2/13/2013]
Absolutely no problems to report, this is very smooth and minimal. Stability is amazing, hell I tried to crash it but it held up great in multitasking.
Haven't tried tethering yet but expect the same results.
Stock look n feel but third party apps can fix that.
Excellent work guys!

The actual 4.2.2 tags for the device and hardware repos has now been pushed to the aosp server, a new build will be out for everyone some time this weekend!
Solid so far
I tried a bunch of ROMs on my Nexus 7 and found this one to be very nice. I am now running it on my Verizon Gnex and I love it. So far no crashes or stutters. Very quick and stable. This is the first ROM that I have had to add Gapps to, that did not cause any issues. So far this is my favorite, and I really liked Mmuzzy. The only change I can see me doing is when Big Red releases the new radios (after a few months) I will wait the day or two for Crossbones to update the ROM and I will reflash. Great work.
Hows it going everyone?

If you have any problems please follow this instructions:
How to submit a bug.
First of all read the bugs section on our website. If you're bug isn't mentioned then proceed.
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it.
Otherwise your developer might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem do you're having.
3a. When you're having a problem with a ROM function flash now just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
3b. When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
4. Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this .
5. Post the logcat in a txt file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed how we can reproduce the bug.
6. Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).
If you come from a stock Sony firmware image please flash this kernel before via fastboot:
Attention: your bootloader need to be unlocked to flash a custom rom like SlimBean.....a good step by step tutorial you find here:
http://androidlegend.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-of-sony-xperia-s-lt26i/
after that you can go ahead with the next steps below
Click to collapse
1. Download:
(Kernel from OFFICIAL release build 2.5)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/106208842/boot.img
2. Turn your phone off and hold the volume up button and plug in your USB connection and wait till the LED is getting blue
3. Terminal command to flash:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
4. Reboot your phone and wait till your LED turns violett....in this moment push the volume up button and you have access to your custom recovery
5. Connect your phone with USB and push the downloaded roms and gapps to your phone now with the terminal command:
adb push <filename> /sdcard/
6. Wipe data/cache/dalvic, format system, flash the rom and the gapps and you are finished
last one
Downloading..

you have twrp with the OpenSemc kernel? Known issue of the kernel from RaymanFX which is solved in next version (btw this here is already the new one from OpenSemc).....grep the boot.img from my build and flash it via fastboot and you are fine. Then flash rom as usual.

Looks really good (am still sort of reloading all my crap)... but it does seem a bit miniturised - wondering if this is something i would fix by adjusting the dpi settings.... what value would give a 'normal' XS look - I am guessing someone has played with this kind of thing more than me...

thanks - i feel pretty stupid - I hadn't actually pushed the options - I assumed i would have to type a value - I didn't realise there were only three choices...lol...all sweet now - running exactly like the other two 4.2.2s as far as I can tell... odd graphical oddity, but pretty solid... this one has benefit of more configurables....which i personally love!

Well you can to 320 dpi settings by navigating to Interface >general > LCD density> select option no.6 and then you can select 320 and dont worry it's a standard dpi so you don't have to follow the other 5 steps.
Can someone put ROM on another server? I.e. mega.co.nz or dl-h-st? Default slim server is blocked at my workplace. Thanks

4.3 mini-FAQ
Q) I'm stuck at the boot logo and/or a boot loop!
A) Make sure you use TWRP 2.5.0.0. TWRP 2.6 and other recoveries can cause boot loops & hangups
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Titanium Backup isn't restoring apps!
A) Change the backups folder to storage/emulated/legacy.
Boom. Been running since this am. No issues to speak of. For me

They just keep on rolling in lol. Thanks bro
Ah, 4.3 at last! :victory: I wonder if SlimBean devs can speak to this ROM's developer regarding the recording audio fix. He says he finally solved it in his earlier build. This is the only issue stopping me from flashing SlimBean on my T999 GS3.

"he" didn't solve it. It was submitted to the cyanogenmod device repos for d2-common. That said, it is in the beta 2 build for d2tmo

I see. I shall try it out right now! Thanks a lot for the information!
I'm a little confused on the work around... I have an otterbox defender on my phone so batter pulling every reboot really won't be that fun to do. So when we reboot the phone we just hold the power button on the boot screen and it will be fine?

Is this the same build that's as the one labeled beta 2 weekly 298? The one that was posted yesterday?
Slim 4.3
Apologies for the previous quote was an accident...
No way to lower haptic feedback on the capacitive buttons? They're way too strong.
EDIT: fixed myself. went through CM gerrit and found their fix which led me to find where the values are stored and changed them to 50 instead of 100 here is the link to the commit http://review.cyanogenmod.org/47557
and here is the steps with root explorer.
/sys/class/timed_output/vibrator/pwm_value
long press and select open in text editor edit to desired number and save and exit.

If you're getting a bootloop it's likely that you're using a bad recovery.

Can you adjust this in the Device settings page without having to edit a file? Advanced options -> Device. I fixed it for jflte, wasn't sure what d2 was using in 4.3 though.

That confused me too but this one's newer. The one you said was uploaded last Friday.
I'm so confused is this newest one the one created on the 18th or is there one newer than that?

I think it is just what it reports as reception. I built my own version last week and it had the same reporting issue with signal but i had no problems with calls. I think it is something to do with slimrom.
@Demetris Good job on releasing rom for the XAS.
Beta 2 is up!
Enjoy and Happy New Year @all

It is something i do manually to fix. Just modify a file. I let the author know how to fix it so shouldnt be a problem probably just forgot to add the fix before compiling. I do that myself occasionally.
