LED Notification Service Patch

Greetings,
I've been trying out a variety of different ROMs, and due to issues with some of my purchased apps not appearing in the Market, I've had to switch back to the default HTC Froyo ROM (rooted of course) as it seems alot of developers aren't letting their apps show up through unsigned ROMs.
Anyways, it would seem that HTC has some setting dealing with the LED notifications that stop after a certain amount of time.... Because of this I end up assuming I don't have any missed calls, texts etc and it drives me crazy. I'm aware that there are some programs on the market that will address this issue, however, having to resort to having a program run all the time due to a dumb setting doesn't seem optimal.
I've come across various mods out that that let you override things like the icons that appear up top, battery percent indicators... Is there something equivalent that I can flash over the existing ROM to fix the LED service settings?

a little off topic but can you name specific apps you are having problems with? i have not yet found any apps that don't show up on most roms. Also as an alternative to being stock you could always use app brain with the fast install and it should let you download them through it.
as far as the LED notification thing. I personally havent seen one but one could exist.

The mod I was using which preventing me from seeing all my purchased applications was Ava-Froyo v3.
Here were 4 applications I wasn't able to access:
Astro File Manager Pro
Android Banking
Raging Thunder 2
ZENONIA

Sorry about creating a thread for this awesome ROM. I'd rather ask the question in the development thread, but apparently I don't have enough posts..so here goes.
I just flashed the second version of the ODEXed stock (with APN settings included), and I freaking love how smooth and buttery it is, and have yet to have a FC (the V2 fixes the browser too, for whoever is curious). I already debloated most of the samsung apps, and already nandroided with TRWP. I want to keep this as a daily driver, however, I've run into a problem.
I don't know if this is because it's JB (first time using the 4.1), but is there no lockscreen with security? Just in the off chance that I leave my phone hanging around, I don't want anyone to dig through my phone. Or, perhpaps it's because the ROM is based on a leaked version and they haven't included security settings??
Can anyone help a brother out?

another question (again, don't have enough posts)
I flashed the latest deodexed andromeda that smartguy released last night, and today I'm noticing that my time keeps resetting. It's already been stated in the forum, but it hasn't been mentioned enough in the thread and no solutions have been provided.
Would someone be willing to post my question in the development thread or help me out in here?

Along with the time resetting, it's also the date. It keeps reverting to 1/1/12. I'm wondering if anyone else is getting this bug, too. It's been making my swype beta expire. So...after a simple "automatic time and date" uncheck/check in settings, it resets everything back to normal and swype works again.
On a side note, my contacts app works as far as having access to the list, but when I try to edit settings or add contacts, the app fc. I've been reading the forum and I think the solutions posted is for access for the list, but I haven't seen anyone mention about the app fc during editing. I did note that the contact that I tried to add, did add onto the list. Just had to reboot to the crash. I was wondering if someone could help me with that, also.

This is my first post in these forums, so I hope you'll bare with me. I am trying to stick to the rules, and have searched a lot for answers, but still have some questions. I really appreciate this forum, and I can thank you for my phone not being totally outdated (Thanks HTC...)
First of all I want to say thank you for a great ROM! I can't post in the official thread just yet, but hopefully I will get there soon.
I have a few issues/questions/suggestions though:
- Both in v.6, 6.5 and 7 I get an error when enabling notifications in facebook. After a minute or so I get a notification that fb notifications have been disabled because my phone doesn't support push-messages. But I'm sure it does, cause I get push notifications from other apps. Without this function the fb app loses half of its value. Solved
- My phone automatically reboots when I try to access soundhound from within the fm-radio, is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix?
- I've seen this posted before,but have yet to find an answer. Although enabling arrow keys for the keyboard this will only enable them on the English keyboard. Could you please be so kind and add this option for the other languages as well? Would be great if you could just choose "enable arrow keys", and this would then be on all keyboards.
- It would be great being able to zoom in/out in the camera appwith the volume buttons. This used to be standard in the official ROMs.
- I saw someone in the official thread saying that you could pull down the notification bar when the phone is locked. I actually had it the same way, but just now found out that there wasn't actually a real screen lock enabled. Yes, I got the pattern screen every time I unlocked the phone, but then realized any pattern would be accepted. When I configured a new screen lock in the settings it was no longer possible to pull down the notification bar when locked =)
- Is it okay to batch restore all apps and system settings in Titanium backup when you upgrade to a new version of the same ROM, or do I have to do each one manually? I'm not sure exactly what all the 200+ items change, so it's kind of hard selecting them. Any tips&tricks on this would be much appreciated (Links etc. too).
FYI: I am using a Desire HD, full wiped and installed the ROM, but am using RADIO 12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M. The reason I never changed this is because I didn't experience most of the issues others were describing in the official thread. Could any of my problems be caused by this? And would there be any huge advantages to changing Radio? Also - and this might be a stupid question, but please forgive me as I am really new to this stuff - Is the BeastMode Kernel automatically flashed with the ROM?

I have had some of the problems you have listed above and it's all down to restoring via Tibackup (I learnt the hard way!)
I just checked mine and I can pull down the notification bar when locked, so it does work (I have a lock screen pattern enabled). Unfortunately when doing a batch restore it messes up the phone's ID in some way, so fb thinks your phone isn't a DHD and hence cannot handle push notifications. You may even find if youlog into google play on a pc that it says 'device not found' or 'incompatible device' when looking to install apps.
Right, this is what you need to do.
1. Do a full backup via Tibackup
2. Boot into recovery and execute factory reset
3, Install Sabsa Prime 7 (perform full wipe)
4. install TiBackup
5. Restore all app and data (NOT system data) - this can be a batch restore
6. Select backup/restore (middle tab) and from the list, restore contacts, messages, people, dialer storage (most of the ones highlighted in green).Remember data only.
Now you will have all your apps restored and your latest contacts and messages. You can also restore bluetooth pairings, wifi and even settings.
You will need to set your homescreens again but everything should now work.

I really don't care much about whether I can pull down the notification bar when locked, or not. I just noticed I could do it until I changed the lock screen pattern.

I still wonder about the arrow keys though, because they are only on the English keyboard (I'm pretty sure it was that way even before I restored apps and settings). And of course being able to zoom with the volume keys would be great.
This might be a noobie question, but is "2. Boot into recovery and execute factory reset" really necessary? What's the difference between this and a full wipe?

2. Probably isn't necessary, but it's a habit of mine before installing a rom as early versions of Sabsa Prime didn't have the option in installer, infact there was no installer!
As for the arrows, download SwiftKey keyboard, best keyboard I've seen, has many languages and arrow option.

bluetooth issue
hi i install the sabsa prime rom v7 but i have a issue whit the bluetooth, my bletooth device is a sonyericsson mw 600, i can connect and the music sound for the bluetooth but the audio of the calls don't sound for that , but the call controls in the bluetooth work's fine, if could tell me how i can fix that i wil be so grateful.

Tried Swiftkey (and Go and some other wellknown keyboard) a while back. Like the keyboard, but the auto-correct for Norwegian was really poor. The standard keyboard has by far the best recognition of words that I have experienced.
EDIT:
Followed your instructions when flashing the new v8.5, and it has fixed the issues I experienced with fb =)
But the phone still reboots when I try to use soundhound from within the fm radio-app (but not with another radio, like the TuneIn Radio)...
Would love an answer regarding the Radio-version too (Never mind the question about the Kernel, figured that one out).
Shouldn't it be pretty easy to include the arrows for all languages, not only for the English keyboard? This is a function I really miss badly, makes things so much easier..
@Jaune: Sorry, I have no idea..

Still in v.9 the arrow keys only work for the English keyboard. Is there any way to implement this also for other languages?
And I see everyone is talking about a camera 4.2 - search xda. Well, I have searched and searched and can't seem to find it..

Any plans to fix the bypass issues for the security gesture?
Ring Target apps, Notifications and drawer, clock long press, etc. They can all get right past it.
Security PIN works great, but the gesture is so much more convenient.

Keyboard issue??
I'm not sure if this is for whatsapp only as that's the only messaging app I use with emoticons, but when I press the emoticons icon to view the emoticons, instead of replacing the space that the keyboard occupies, it uses up an area above the keyboard and blocks the messages above. This occurs for both the keyboard that comes with the rom as well as swype. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

The nightly down page says empty. What's going on?

So I have a question regarding an issue I'm having on this ROM. I have an AT&T M8 WITH HTC unlocked bootloader, s-off, TWRP2.8.0.1, rooted with SuperSU.
THIS MAY BE A Hangouts issue, or a work wifi issue, so if I'm thinking wrong please forgive me.
I am using the latest Hangouts for messaging, and I have my Google voice integrated to it. I use GV because at work I have no service, so I can text over wifi. Whenever I'm using my wireless data connection or my home wifi network, I receive texts as soon as they are sent. When I'm at work, however, I have to open my Hangouts app to receive my messages. And when they appear it could b we that the message was sent an hour previously.
I have to connect to wifi at work, and then when I open a browser I have to accept terms before I'm connected. But if I turn the screen off for a while, I don't have to repeat those steps to be connected.
So is there a setting I can use to keep my wifi active while connected to a network, even if the screen is off? Or does anyone have another idea as to how to make my GV texts over wifi appear when they are sent to me?

Hi,
I've just decided to try out the LS rom. I'm using it as a secondary rom on my multi-rom system. I'm using the 'LS-KK-MileStone-v3.2-2014-11-06-m8' build.
With this rom, I'm not getting any phone reception at all. The phone's not in airplane mode.
Is anyone else having this issue?

When trying to go into Chrome from the bookmarks widget, Chrome opens up in hover mode.
Anyone know how to fix this? It just started out of the blue.

I'm experiencing a similar issue. A few weeks ago, whenever opening Chrome Beta (from anywhere), it would open in a floating window. No changes to my settings seemed to mitigate this, but Chrome (stable) worked fine.
Now I am experiencing this issue in the stable version of Chrome as well after a recent update. I suspect this issue propagated down from the beta build.
I'll post more information if I can discern anything more.

Went digging through Google+ for Liquid, and they say it's Chrome's bug.

I didn't do anything, but this bug appears to be fixed in the latest Chrome Beta (39.0.2171.90).

Can someone help me out. How do you reset the notification swipe. For example if I swipe left it opens up my notification. How do I reset to default?

Anyway to repeat message/text notification?

My last phone a Sony XZ1 use to repeat the text/message notification every couple of minutes until you checked you phone.
Is there a way to do this on the 8pro.

As far as I am aware, I don't think there is such a built-in feature in the base OS (assuming you are using any stock image), the repeating notification is based on the App you are using which may or may not offer that option (I have no idea if stock app has it, never used it).
For example in my case, currently using "Silence" app (F-Droid repo) for text messaging (a secured text messaging app forked from Signal without all those enforced options which became more of a nuisance rather than a real improvement over the years) and it offers a 'Repeat Alert' option in the notification settings within the App, from never to 10 times. It works as intended repeating alert when that one was missed. Missed being understood as long as you did not dismiss the notification itself.
If your Apps are not supporting such a feature, I guess there should be a way to work around that limitation making automated tasks using things like AutomateIt repeating a notification sound after a given sleep.

It`s a bit strange the 8pro does not support repeat notification, If you miss the first notification for some reason not everybody checks their phone all the time.
Other phone manufactures support it, Anyway i am on Stock Android 10.

Maybe it does support it., Idk, never had checked for it and never came across it either (and I do mess with notification a real lot). I just remembered I had seen that option (and used) in my text app so I shared what I had found out
I am currently messing around with many settings myself, if I come around anything that suits your needs, I'll make sure to come back and let you know.
Please let us know of your findings too!
