Req: Jb aosp lockscreen

anybody willing to try to enable the jb aosp lockscreen on even the stock rooted roms? i think it could also eliminate some of the lockscreen wake lag we get. ill donate to whomever might be willing to take it on.

I know theres a xml edit to enable the stock jb lockscreen thats why i asked if any dev would take it on. I had it on beans rom for my gs3 and you could toggle between aosp & touchwiz lockscreens.

If your running cmenards room this works with that also I would imagine that it would work on ptmr s multi view ROM also not sure about stock probably not

its in android.policy.jar u have to add smali code not in build.prop

Currently running Jedi X6. Flashed the lockscreen. Works perfectly. Thank's a lot. Missed the simplicity and music controls. Thing is, I can't really configure it from the lockscreen system settings. Settings such as "show batter" etc. Regardless, I really missed the aosp lockscreen. The transition from LS to Home screen is smooth.

Wow! Awesome work bro! The lock screen was my sole gripe on current roms! Kinda gave up on holo locker already since it lagged so much! Working flawlessly on Cmenards rom! Thanks for this man!

Animated weather app similar to Circles Widget weather

When clicking on the temperature/weather circle on the stock circles widget it brings up a beautiful full screen weather report. I was wondering if this is accessible when not using the circles widget. I know it says it's powered by accuweather, but when I downloaded the standalone accuweather app, it didn't look nearly half as good. I love the look of the weather and how the forecast is presented and just wanna know if it's possible to access that when not using the circles widget, or is that just built into the app? I would like to be able to access it through another widget I use that allows you to open weather (and other features) with the app of your choosing.
If this is not possible, part 2 of the question: is there a similar animated weather app that has the same sort of style to it available on the app store? I've looked around but none seem to have the same style to them.

Re: Circles widget weather?
For anybody else that may be interested, I found an app somewhat similar to the circles weather app that gives the temperature, forecast, and a few other details with a clean interface and animated background. It's called Be Weather Pro. It cost $1.99 but I like it. The animation is a bit fast for my taste and it doesn't appear that you can change the speed, but it looks pretty sweet of you were looking for a nice looking weather app somewhat similar to the Circles Widget Weather screen.

+1 for Be Weather Pro. I've been using it since its beta. I also like the screen that comes up when tapping the Circles widget weather, but the widget itself seems redundant to me. I already have a clock and a battery meter in the status bar and see no need to repeat them on my home screen.

Another +1 for BeWeather. I used to use their excellent Blackberry weather app and was happy to buy their Android app when I moved over a few years ago. NIce app, clean interface and very configurable. Glad you found something that works well for you!

This thread is awesome, I just downloaded Apex Launcher & BeWeather great apps, I had been using Go EX Launcher and Beautiful Widgets.. Digging these new apps!!

Nice! I'm still loving both! Apex has all the features I wanted and is really snappy on the M. And yeah Be Weather is really really nice. Glad you tried it!

Quick Question though I hate to admit it but my vision isn't what it used to be is there a way to turn off the IMAGE VERIFICATION I tried using the Speaker but man that's worse then trying to view the letters? HELP!

[MOD] Modified Touchwiz Home and App Drawer (UVBMB4)

Hello-
I've made some modifications to the latest (official) TouchWiz Launcher for the T-Mobile Note 2. For some reason, I prefer to try modifying stock components before moving to a different app altogether. I'm still working on centering the all apps icon, but for now, here are some of the specs on my current launcher:
5x6 Homescreen
6x6 App drawer
Icon shadows removed
Labels on dock icons removed
Page indicator removed
Non-scrolling wallpaper
This is just how I prefer my launcher, but I am open to requests. Also, please note that not all widgets are compatible with all grid sizes, but I was able to modify the email apk to allow its widget to be resized to fit my grid (highest default is 4x4).
Be sure to fix permissions after flashing and do a cache/dalvik wipe.

Would it be possible to get a 5x7 for the homescreen layout?

I have two things that keeps me from using TW launcher:
1. Scrolling dock (I love that feature)
2. Uninstall app from App drawer (long press and drag to uninstall app).
I am fine with everything else.

I did drop the icon and font size down a little bit, i think they're right about 90%.

You can uninstall from the app drawer but not in the same fashion :/
Having trouble getting anything to work right with the dock, but scrolling might be a cool thimg to look into.

For me the biggest reason I don't like using the stock TW launcher is because I cannot resize widgets properly, only widgets that allow resizing will work. Otherwise I'd love to use it, especially because of page buddy and all that jazz. Nice work here though!

I think for the most part, it's the tw widgets that are the root of the resizing problem. What I mean is, it's actually the touchwiz apps whose widgets are limiting the resizing ability, not the launcher itself. I could be wrong though, just speculating.

I wonder if I'm missing something here. My zips work fine for some and not at all for others. Do you have "unknown sources" checked in your security settings?
Edit: I think it might have something to do with busybox. I'll look into it when i have some time.

you probably running odex instead of deodexed. this wont work with odex rom. i am running it right now with frosty.

Wallpaper scrolling is on by default now. Is there a particular grid layout you prefer?

[MOD] Allow any font to be used

Okay, so i have been playing around with fonts lately, and i noticed that you can "download fonts online" but when you would go into display settings to apply it, it told you "this font is not available" then why the heck would you let me download it!? xD
There are other options like iFont and such which allow you to change the font. Well i don't like using apps for something the system can do. So i modded the Settings apk to allow all fonts to be used
Just flash in recovery, download any font, and use settings apk to apply it Works perfectly. Now you get to use all those free fonts

Well yeah. Go look how large the settings apk is. That's why it's 50 megs. It's one download, one flash. No messing with stupid ads and third party crap it's much better than iFont

No way! Don't flash it! definite boot loop! xD I don't think aosp supports fonts natively. Gonna have to use iFont or something similar . I use a self modded iFont apk for my tablet.

I have been using both ifont and rom toolbox to apply my font. Ifont changed most of the fonts but left some apps alone ie..browser pages. But useing romtoolbox after ifont took care of browser and everything else. Could never use just one or the other. Alone they both leave certain fonts alone, together they get everything.
I'll give this a shot, maybe this will save a few steps. Thks.

Only app I haven't seen get changed is kik. But that's only in the compose box which to me seems like an override by the app itself. As all other fonts are changed. I love having sexy text :3

Will this work on Infamous Roms, cos he adds other options to his Settings.....Cross Fingers.

So would this work on a 4.3 Rom? I ask because the only confirmed with pics is on a 4.2.2 Rom and the settings.apk in 4.3 is most likely much different than the one in 4.2.

It should work but if its a stock apk it should look stock therefore not Infamous lol

I tried it. It force closes my settings. I used this on 4.2.2 and i was pretty happy with it.

Yeah. worked great on 4.2, but since I updated to Rebirth 4.3, whenever I try to flash, it says "FAILED" in big red letters.

You could use nova launcher and resize it and give you that option, apex does it too. Better launcher anyways and not leggy like TW version and on top of it features. If you want you'd always could replace it and bake it in a rom if you don't like more than one launcher installed.

I actually use next launcher which is great , but I got the s5 weather widget and I want to use it but you can't use it unless you use TouchWiz launcher. But because I'm used to using another launcher I need an extra row at the bottom so I could put all the stuff I want on the page.... that's why I posted this I've been asking all around.... I just don't know how to do it myself or I would and I tried looking at the how to but if its too much for me to understand so there are people here that have made it 5X5 and 5X6 and I seen in the past on other phones that they made it 4x5.... that's what I need thanx

Apex will work too! I have both Nova and Apex, I prefer Apex. It is up to the individual choice.
Apex can resize any widget. For portrait or landscape you can goes 10 x 10. On the dock you can have up to 5 docks with 7 spots. That is my favourite feature. You can also put a widget on the dock.

are you kidding and blind to read any posts? Use a launcher that is better than TW from the get-go and you wont have to worry about it. Also you could just bake it in and replace it as the standard launcher so you only have one if that's an issue.

Why would you lash out? I want to use the stock widgets which don't work with other launchers can't you read? This is not helping anyone. .. Why can't I want something without someone telling me what I should have.... Jovy and other devs have edited this launcher so are they dumb for doing it because there's better launchers? They just made them different sizes. .. We all have different tastes and this is what I want so if you can't help me with this then don't reply please.

because you didnt bother to say it int the OP, that's why. And thats fine but you need to specify that and i say use a different launcher as it helps with battery and other features as well which would benefit you, you could always theme it like TW anyway.

Just curious how this is working out for you? Planning on flashing it myself when I get the time to sit down and put a recovery on my phone.
