Live in goo manager. Just thought I'd let you all know!

Just installed. Running smoothly, none of the issues I experienced in RC2 so far. Great work.

Its a stable version so it should work. I can't answer because I hate BT lol But give it a shot. I'm also using the latest AK CYLON kernel. His work is usually flawless

Thanks Heath. Was a bit reluctant to reflash as I've spent a few days tweaking my RC1 build and have a shed load of apps loaded for my boys to play with..
I may wait until someone posts a positive on hands free before rebuilding again.

I don't use Bluetooth and can't confirm it working, but this ROM is just awesome!
It has all the features you will need and it runs really smooth. I can really recommend it. Only thing not working for me is sphere in camera - not a big deal though...

I too use gapps 20130301 from goo and have the sphere option. But when aligning the fist image, the "gallery" closes. I had it working on another ROM, but quality of sphere is really bad when shooting in a room (alignment), so I don't miss it. Maybe/hopefully Google improves it in the next version.
EDIT: Indeed the camera gives me more problems than just a buggy sphere... NO images are taken at all! Not even with a 3rd party camera app!
I think this is a major issue. I read that it should be fixed in Android 4.2.2 but apperently this is not the case. Interestingly I had it working in other 4.2.2 ROMs so maybe there is an issue with this LiquidSmooth release...
Anyone else has troubles with the camera?

Mine is working just fine. Maybe try and redownload gapps and see if that's the issue. I'm not sure if the new gapps has an effect on camera apk though. If all else fails, you could always redownload the ROM and get a clean install.
Edit: Alright just checked and sphere is working here flawlessly.

Bit the bullet and went for the update and tried Bluetooth handsfree. Still not working.:crying:
Connects fine, transfers contacts fine but audio during calls (at any volume level) is distorted and robotic (both ways). Even when connected there is intermittent bursts of quiet and distorted audio through the handset speaker which sounds like the connection is trying to drop out. HTC one, Sony Xperia, HTC Cha Cha, HTC Desire all work perfectly on the same car kit.
Tried all devices on a Saab (2008) Ford (2012) and Renault (2011) all the same. Other devices connect and audio is perfect, S3 distorted.
Anyone recommend a Kernel that they have confirmed BT functionality on in car systems?

Thanks for telling! I always do a full wipe when flashing ROMs but then I realised that other ROMs also had the same problem "suddenly". So I tried it once more with reverting to stock, re-rooting,... and now also deleted my backup of "Android" folder that I otherwise always restore to keep some settings. What should I say? It works again! Smooth and flawless (including sphere)! :victory:

Afaik Google implemented its own Bluetooth stack, which obviously is not that great...
"Android 4.2 introduces a new Bluetooth stack optimized for use with Android devices. The new Bluetooth stack developed in collaboration between Google and Broadcom replaces the stack based on BlueZ and provides improved compatibility and reliability."
http://developer.android.com/about/versions/jelly-bean.html
I'm afraid you will have to wait for Android 5 or other fixes... (can be wrong though. I'm not so firm with this matter)

I noticed many people here having BT issues. Not sure if this helps for calling but definitely helps for audio. Check it out.

CM 7.2 RC1 officially

So I saw through Reddit that they were releasing this for like 70 devices. Anyone try it? How similar is it to the various KANG builds we have for our device?
I'm downloading now, so ill post my thoughts.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA
so far it seems to be very similar to the Kangs. It does feel a teeny bit more responsive than those others.
The low volume on call bug is still present, but flashing aeroeven's .8 kernel fixes this just as it does in the KANG builds.
I didn't experience the multi touch issue that seems to be plaguing some users, but for what it's worth i didn't experience it on the KANG builds either.
The keyboard didn't stick for me while typing at all. i spent about 5 minutes typing random words into an email and it didn't stick once.
Edit: when logging into I heart radio the keyboard was sticky as hell.
one thing i've noticed is that once the market finally switches to google play, the label says Market, but it has the play icon.
excuse a newb
So I downloaded and installed 7.2 but when I try to add a new account to sync, it says it cant connect to the server. Ideas?
Also, what is this flashing kernel to get rid of low in-call volume?
Thanks!

I'm using the .8 bfs at this time with good results, but you can use the cfs as well. Either will work, just different schedulers.
and....im a moron and just never flashed google apps. rom works perfectly.
I personally like kangs release better than this. I use swiftly x for my keyboard, and many times it lags when I type. Opera Web browser doesn't work for me, which is the browser I prefer. Long wait time switching between wifi and 3G. These are the issues I am having. Yes I wiped everything coming from kangs build before flashing this. I tried "fix permissions " and even uninstalled and reinstalled the apps that were misbehaving, but nothing has fixed these problems.
Sent from my DINC2
I tried the official build but it wasn't surprising to me that the most of the same issues that plague all cm7 builds for this phone are still present and the custom kernels don't really help to fix the problems. Im just going to stick with sense some more until cm works some of them out.

What do you feel is missing?
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
A fix for the use of wireless tether v2.0.7. The overall feel of cm just isn't there. Its not quite as smooth as I remember and I really hate that when I listen to music and try to do other things it causes the music to lag for a second. The call volume was still very low which I figured would be something they would address but they didnt. Wireless tether app not working is pretty much a deal breaker for me though. I have to use my phone for my home internet and the hotspot just isn't a very reliable connection most of the time and its very annoying to get disconnected and have to reconnect constantly.
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
I found RC1 to be more stable than the last stable 7.1.0.1 release. Everything works for me including wireless tether, and I have not had any stability issues. The compass issue is also gone, which is a welcome change for me. (Trying to navigate Boston on St. Patty's after a few green beers via a compass that always points the wrong direction was not particularly easy.)
The only thing I have noticed is that the FM Radio will force close periodically if a notification noise chimes while I am listening, but it did that on 7.1.0.1, too. However, on 7.1.0.1, it would require a reboot rather than simply reopening the app. All in all, I'm pretty stoked. I am looking forward to stable and CM9 (hopefully) down the road.

I have read HTC's announcement. I say "hope," because I am going from Cyanogen's "Will [insert device] get CyanogenMod 9?" flow chart (see Ricard Cerqueira's Google+ page). Even with the release of ICS, there is still only a 75% chance. The only devices that are certain at this point are those that already have CM9 nightlies. Given HTC's slowness releasing kernels, etc. and my general cynical disposition, I'll believe it when I see nightlies released for the Incredible 2.

thanks!
Different people had so many choice
All 4.2 use same kernel, IMHO similar battery life.
I toggle 3g, wifi and mobile internet only when I need, and 2 days like 60% with stock battery, when I use too much mostly a day or 2 the 100%.
You should backup and try all of them

I found PACRom v18 w/ patches to be fully working minus bluetooth headset and skype (audio).
I never had dropped calls, duplicate texts etc. which are some of the issues i'm having in stock ICS. Battery was great once I installed JuiceDefender Ultimate .. I haven't switched up to Rootbox 4.2.2 because I couldn't get GPS to lock.

Sent from my MK16i using xda app-developers app
I have been using Rootbox since late January. I mostly like it, but I keep having multiple texts and sometimes I get a "not receiving texts" issue until I totally wipe the phones caches, data and rom and reflash. Getting kind of annoying because it's about every 2-3 weeks or so I gotta reflash or clear to a total wipe to fix an issue. Probably related more to the kernel than the rom? I dunno. I am thinking about trying CM 10.1 or DMan's daily driver which I think is based off of 4.0.4? 4.2 is nice, but I need a phone that's a touch more stable and so does my gf. Her phone has the same issues as mine at varying intervals. Rootbox is really nice, it's the only modified ROM I have experience with on these phones. Shame the dev community is dwindled but they did excellent work thus far. If I could I would take over...but I am no programmer. I think I may end up back with stock GB eventually though I'd rather not. I like having my Nexus 7 and phones all on the same 4.2.2.

Thanks. When I get this phone, I would like a rom that mimics Jelly Bean, since I have an Epic 4G finally on Cyanogenmod 10 and I'm already used to that. Looks like I'll have to try a few roms (I don't think Cyanogenmod will ever come to the Captivate Glide ), but I'll keep the one you mentioned in mind.

Can you explain 'bluetooth car handsfree'?
I get bluetooth / headset. And I believe I get 'handsfree' - click the button on the headset and it answers the call, and click the button on the headset, speak who you want to call (voice dial), and it dials.
In this case, your car is your headset? (Speakerphone, happens to be mounted in the car?)
Any chance (hoping), that it works with a bluetooth headset, in which case it could be a device compatibility problem?
Or is it just handsfree bluetooth (period) is unhappy?

Galaxy S3 and Torque App.

Hey guys I have been having an issue with my S3 running custom rom, Torque app and ELM327 Bluetooth
*First off, my Nexus 7 running Paranoid Android 3.15 is perfect.
I can connect to bluetooth but Torque app does not recognize the device
1) S3 running Task650 Rom doesn't work,
2) I factory reset S3 back to stock running 4.1.2 and WORKS PERFECT.(no root access)
3) Because I dislike touchwiz I decided to run PA 3.15 same as tablet but the same issue.
Is it the phone or custom rom or app?
The app does have one setting for customer rom but doesn't seem to do the trick.
Torque>setting>general preferences>force bluetooth connection type>
3 options: 1) off (default) 2)Force Encrypted Connections 3)Forced Unencrypted Connections
*force bluetooth connection type description
Leave this set to "off" unless you are running a Custom Rom(CM/AOKP/ETC) and are hacing connection problems - it is a workaround for buggy android bluetooth driver and custom rom.
I need your help please.
Contact the developer of the app and let him know of your issue. It's your best bet besides going back to touchwiz.

Sorry, I didn't have a keyboard to type with last night so I just copied/pasted the link that I thought would help.
Yeah, AOKP has never worked for me. Some AOSP ROM's work and some don't.
LiquidSmooth was working for me (and is one of my two fave ROM's) for awhile.
But I'm now having trouble getting my cheapo bluetooth ODB sensor to talk. I'm not sure if it's the ROM or the device.
But none worked without some sort of shutdown bug. Which can sometimes be worked around using options in Torque Pro.
Weird thing is, Torque non-Pro always works great.

He already answered your question, the 4.1.2 weren't ever completed, they were abandoned... hence why the issues in those roms are still present.
Install PACRom 18.2 and then apply the fixes for keyboard etc. I think the fixes are in the litekernel thread. Put on the latest litekernel for 4.1 keyboard fix, lights fix and you'll have the best working 4.1.2.
Note - skype and bluetooth headset still won't work, pretty sure the camera issue with rotation is still present. I ran pacrom 18.2 for MONTHS without any issue except those listed and the wake lag.
I was trying to port something, not use it as a rom.

GPS and other features
Uhm is any STABLE release with:
GPS Working (most important)
MUSIC Working
Skype Working
Camera Working
Google Now Working (this seems to be an issue from all custom Roms)
Since I've seen most these features working but none on the same ROM all together

Not for version 4.1.2 (jellybean)
Only ICS 4.0.xxx ...
****, somebody needs to make a sticky for the most current stable rom .. this question keeps coming up over and over and over in every forum and many threads.

GPS has always worked. Some of the technical data returned is invalid/bogus but Google Maps/Navigation is completely unaffected.

Again, it's always worked, so long as you don't have an app trying to record audio at the same time.

Skype works for text messages, but received audio in calls is corrupt. The core of the issue is audio playback breaks when an app opens the microphone. (Ironically, the microphone itself actually works fine, i.e. voice recognition has messed up audio cues but it does process what you say correctly.) Current hypothesis is it's a driver issue. Research is ongoing. This is a longstanding issue going all the way back to our very first JB kernels.
Camera Working

Current CM10.1 and derivatives have a fully working camera.

This is actually a known problem with Google Now itself, it depends on an instruction set the Tegra 2 doesn't have. The Galaxy R and the Galaxy Note 10.1 have the same problem, on ALL Jellybean ROMs, even official. Bug Google, not us.
There is a workaround: downgrade GNow to a working version (possibly by flashing old gapps), then disable "Hotword detection" in settings. Once that is turned off you can upgrade to the latest and it will still work.
Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply but:
1) GPS was not locking for me until I changed the gps.conf file in MOST of the ROMs I've tested.
2) Music didn't work on one rom I tested (now and then the music player started lagging and it automatically stopped every few seconds for a few milliseconds)
3)Thanks for the Skype reply; I was hoping there was some version with this fixed but evidentely not.
4)Camera flips orientation in all the roms I've tested. HDR just worked in 1 of them. Camera actually crashed from time to time in one of them.
5)Oh, sad about the Google Now fact. It's actually one of the main reasons I wanted JB
The skype thing Can't be a hardware issue since I've used skype several times before rooting my device. The issue you are talking about happens on google voice sometimes; therefore I'm guessing you're right on thinking that the problem is on the driver.
I'm very interested in ROM building since I'm an app developer for android and a C++ programmer; yet I've been too lazy to check how it worked. Are the drivers we are using open source? or are we just messing with the conf files trying to get things fixed?

hi,
thread how to compile from source:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2071542
AFAIK drivers are not open source if they were there wouldn't be so much problems with them. They are ported from other devices similar hw but with code for them.
any news about JB and bluetooth headset issue?
this is the only thing that's been holding me back so far

Yes. Search Google for "FML Galaxy Nexus". There is an XDA Thread with the ROM on it, detailing the issues. Off the top of my head, the issues are camera and others. It's still pretty stable though for such an early build
I have to tell you I used the one that adamgraver is talking about and I loved it! I moved back to kit kat for stability reasons but I really loved it!

What do you mean "for stability reasons"? I consider trying out the lollipop ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/rom-fml-fork-life-06-05-2014-v2-t2764064
Known issues are :
- Stock Camera app isn't working yet. Aftermarket ones, such as Camera ZOOM FX, might work however.
I don't care much about the stock camera app. But I am wondering how things go with calls, SMS, MMS, mobile data etc... i.e. usability.
The treads says: "These builds are very early! They aren't daily-driver-stable, but they are progressing extremely fast. They don't include the usual FML optimizations either, but they are surprisingly snappy already..." which to me is a little confusing... If I would like to use it as a daily-driver, what are the concessions to be made?
Thanks a lot in advance for your input.
Best,
-a-
It became really slow really quickly had major crash issues as well. It couldnt play youtube, bluetooth and wifi had issues. It would just lock up a lot no matter how many resets I did. An update is going to be really soon so keep your eyes open for it, I cant wait!
Lollipop is in my opinion officially stable now if you use osmosis and neph's kernel and settings. Go check em out!
