I live in India and just rooted my Optimus G E975 and immediately changed the DPI using an app from playstore to 180 and now I'm as sorry as I cud ever be !! (T_T) I owned ZTE blade and a messed up build.prop was no big issue but I'm new to LG
I greatly appreciate to any brother who guide me through the next course of action, please I need help !!
My Baseband: APQ8064/MDM9x15MAPQ8064/MDM9x15M if that helps, I am completely new to LG state of affairs

I was checking it out but none of them seem to have E-975 variant, doesn't it matter ?? I thought if there was anyway the install the clockwork recovery in recovery mode or any other means then may be it would be easy ?
I tried connecting through adb but it does not recognize the attached device ! I'm at a loss, why ??
Finally I succeeded in connecting it to my PC using adb shell and was able to view the files, hopefully i can probably pull the 'bad' prop file and correct the dpi and and push it to see what happens !! Give some input buddies if there is any info I need to know !!

Sorry I don't have a stock E975 build prop. Currently running an E977 Brazilian rom. The E975 is finicky. I remember changing my carrier in the build prop and it would not boot.

You mean you bought both E975 and E977 or running E977 Brazilian ROM in E975 ?? if so then I should right away get that ROM too !! Without modification I dont think android means a whole lot to me or anybody I think !!
I have an E971 and running the E977 rom. The E977 rom is listed on the site I posted earlier as well if you want to give it a whirl. But I would backup your modem first just in case you need to reflash it back on the Brazilian rom.

I needed because i installed F180 kit kat and i like to change some entries in this file to make the phone more brasilian

Couldnt load video for some reason, but yes, the QSlide apps can be moved around and change size/opacity of them, when they are transparent you click through them and on to the app behind it, but can still move them around. Only problem is LG seem to have closed the holes to root, so for now we have no root, but that should hopefully change soon once its released.

I'm new to the works of this phone, but I think you should be able to grab the E975 KDZ and be able to flash it on your phone. That should give you the apps also I think.

Was just a heads up, if something doesnt work good you should be able to revert back one way or another.

I rooted this Eur KDZ (E97510B_00.kdz) on my F180L but I need to root it to install the BaseBandF180L, this I need for the settings for better connection. Otherwise I have only 3G and no UMTS.
Edit:
I see now that this version had no option for 4G (LTE). I had it by the HK 10A version and this one I could root and install the BaseBandF180L.
It can be that it come after install the BaseBandF180L, I'm not sure.

check settings more and mobile networks.. configure apn
but how do u know u have no H?
because on my F180L shows 3G icon near signal bar no any H or H+ but i know it is H cos internet is fast
can u provide all necessary sfuff for completion and some tutorial?

this tool from LG: With the same settings you see in the picture.

Then turn off the phone, connect FIRST the USB-Cable to phone AND the computer (here you must have installed the LG USB driver), then hold BOTH volume keys and then the power button, you come then in Download mode.
Then click on "Launch software update".
Edit: this is the Euro version and it isnt to root jet. (The HK 10A version is to root. this can be important for the basebandL installation)

Sorry, but I didn't read it good, I thought you ment flash. The newer versions of LG are not rootable at the moment, I put it also in footnote (edit). Only the older once, as the 10A HK.

Most likely not. However, if you experience issues with future updates then you can just unroot using super su. That will delete all root files and your phone will then be able to do official software updates from your carrier.

I used the root exploit from the LG Optimus G from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38886073&postcount=1
I would guess they work the same way, but it allowed root after the update from a stock, non-rooted phone. If you're rooted prior to the update, it will still be rooted after the update.

Grab the drivers, DLL file and the stock image file from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...57&postcount=1
Download the LG Flash Tool v 1.5.10.1120 and the MegaLock.dll from this thread: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f177...-pass-1628819/ and follow the directions in that thread. It needs no serial and will return you to stock.
Has anyone try this method with E988 or E989 model? Will this work? I really want to root mine but I'm just not sure if I'm going to brick my device...
P.S. my first LG phone so I want to know the saftest method lol

Because of my ****ty upload speed, it'll take me forever to upload it to another server..
The error occurs with me too.. better try downloading with Chrome browser without using any Download manager like IDM or DAP. I got lucky after trying several times.

Yes it is possible but it'll permanently converted to F180 edition. E975 OPG users are using this method instead of flashing F180's Kdz. You'll find it here:

there are a lot of thread about "how to flash kdz" on XDA. If one method doesn't work for you follow another. I used this method to flash mine.

OK i have a problem:
old KDZ flasher flashs only .kdz´s with less than 1GB! so i can flash 20H F180L on my e975 but 30b not because its bigger than 1gb! with new methode (with offline hack) i failed because lg support tool checks device info.... and OTA update from 20 to 30 failed with an error message by checking device info...

Hey guys i had previously 4.1.x rooted then ota update popped up downloaded restarted after 3% gave me error .. restarted and msg poped up suspicious rooted device .. ?!?! wow never seen msg like that ...
i downl. suite backed up all updated successfully to 4.4.2 but theres no way to root back device ?? i tried vroot it showed nicely F180S clicked on root and it been rooting 5 mins so obviously nothing hapened .. my vivo x3s nicely rooted with vroot .. but no LG .. any help ?

you can flash the kdz but you will need to flash the proper modem for your model or you wont have any signal.
