Hello,
I have idea about app.
1st to say that this app is just for FUN and to fool your friends and etc.
Like the iPhone have already many apps that are fake etc.. now i think is time we to have something similar.
I have the idea and is simple but im not very well on all this things, the idea just come in my head and right now i have only few radar animations and fingerprints on my desktop pc.
EXAMPLE of the App:
The app can be build from many diferent gifts animations or even a avi mp4 clip depend.
When you run the app will appear a Black screen and on the top will be writen.
"TAP YOUR FINGER TO BE SCANNED" this is just example
Under this in the center of the display will have a Circle or something that look like a 3D Button, here will be interesting because the idea is that the app must to have build touch sensor.. not only to be a movie played to be more real will be cool really to recognize touching..
So the Button on the center will be Empty once you put there your finger and hold the phone will react imideately and will be writen
"WAIT SCANNING....." After a couple of seconds with some good scanining animation, for example after 5-7 seconds of "scanning" in the circle/ button etc on the place where you tap will appear a real fingerprint LOL.. of course not your fingerprint but will look very realistic.. and the peoples around you will think OMG this is his fingerprint.
After this when your Finger print is already "scanned" will appear button under your fingerprint START RADAR....
After you click START RADAR Button.. on the whole screen will appear a Green Radar Animation with Black Backround.. and will start to play like RADAR is scanning.. and the radar will display like he found.. whatever can be a Airplane, can find Idiots or Liers... whatever..something fun or something that will look cool and realistic.
NOTE: This Application is just for fun, and to fool your friends etc. Also if is made with good animation is posible to look really cool and realistic.
This is just example, all Peoples who have ideas can write here too, and i hope some developers with alot Photoshop skills and others with alot skills to do a apps will like the idea also and we will have some final result.
Thanks
So I know a few people have asked about this around the net and I've yet to find a solution for this so I thought I'd post my little workaround.
Anyone that's tried to create a long timelapse with the GNex will tell you 1) you NEED to be plugged into AC the whole time and 2) Phone gets extremely hot. Since brightness is automatically increased when recording video, and can't be decreased I use the following combo/setup as a workaround.
Download Screen Filter from Market (**** a play store) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor&hl=en
This app essentially lets you tint your mobile screen from a percentage range of 2-98% of your current brighthness.
Once the app installed go into drawer and add the apps widget to one of your home screens, and set your desired tint percentage. I'm currently at 2% and that makes my screen look like its completely off (except for softkeys)
The final product ends up looking like this..
lol and for all you pervos out there dont be using this workaround to secretly record down/up women's clothes and such...
there is a spycam app called simple notepad that will give you a complete black screen while recording and lets you take pictures by tapping the screen. it works great with amoled scene since the phone looks like it's off when there is a black background. it'd didn't work so good on my atrix but great on the captivate. It's not in the market so you will have to google it.
thanks for the tip I'll check it out
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
but how can you do anything after recording has started? my phone stops recording even if i press the home button.
or do you darken it before you start recording, and then navigate blindly? how do you undarken it afterwards?
hmm... the screen filter idea seems kind of good, even though you have to navigate blind through the menu... I wish there was a native way of achieving this, just like a button in the camera to turn the screen off and back on again on a tap somewhere or so... But I think it works for my problem, thank you for your idea.
Looking for a way to add volume softkeys. see pic attached.
I have GMD GestureControl and Volume in Notification as a bandaid for the time being.
indash install is 95% complete and will be posting a complete walkthrough of it installed in my 2007 honda element.
been done but I used a few creative tricks that might be helpful to others.

you could install a custom rom that allows widgets into the nav bar.
id assume there are other ways to do this too. cool setup. I want to put a tablet in my car like this when I upgrade vehicles.
how is the screen at night?

The screen brightness even at the dimmest stock value was almost the end before the start until I was reccomend to try lux from the play store. It lets you go way under the stock brightness resulting in a perfect night driving whether you want it dim to keep less distracted or dim to play video that's much less noticeable from outside
Tempted to buy a g7 play, but notification icons are important to me, so is there any room at the top for notification icons?
Also what is the memory management like with 2gb?

Yes there's room for notifications but when there's a lot you will only see one then a dot which means there's a few and ram management is great for a 2gb ram all depends which apps you have running I have all the stock Google that come installed Reddit Twitter XDA WhatsApp Spotify and Netflix and 3 emulators and it doesn't bog down or lag only tweaks I've made is reduce animations to 0.5.
Brilliant Ty for that, sounds great.
I also like to see all notifications at the top bar, so I disable the notch in developer options (Display cutout > Hide). With this option, the area where the camera and the speaker are between is not used anymore, and the notification bar starts just below it, using all the screen width as any other phone. I don't even see it as a "waste of screeen area" because they are just two small areas which are annoying to reach for notifications, and when watching videos or using a fullscreen app in landscape mode it looks like the speaker and the front camera are invading the screen (ugh). Besides that, many videos don't even have the 19:9 ratio. As you can see, I really don't like the notch, but I'm cool with buying a phone that has it as long as I can "cut it out" of my way
Regarding RAM usage: firstly, I'd like to remember it will only affect multitasking and possibility to play very heavy games (if gaming is your concern, I suggest you look up if a specific game runs or how it performs on 2GB RAM. Processing will hardly be the concern, since it has a decent chipset). I've used several apps at the same "task" switching between them (commonly 3 or 4, but sometimes even more), and none of them restarted. If I'm using chrome with several tabs, at least the last used app won't restart if I switch. And when an app needs to be reloaded, It does so very fast. And I also use the "one button navigation bar", so I rapidly switch back-and-forth between two apps by swiping left on it. I like it a lot
this might be a weird problem or question, but I have this random blue light flashing slowly over navigation bar when I'm on a game in landscape screen, such as Heir of Light or Mobile Legend. I use the hidden navigation bar type instead the one that taking extra space. I wonder if it's coming from 3rd party AoD I used before, such as Notification Light or Always on Edge, but I have them both uninstalled already, I wonder if it's coming from them because previously I never saw this blue light over my navigation bar. I noticed several things about this light:
This light appears few seconds after I opened a game that is on landscape mode which hides the navigation bar. The light will flow surrounding the navigation bar area for around 2 times then it will disappear completely.
It only appears once on every restart, so if I open the same game later, it won't show until I restart my phone and open the game again.
I've tried to see if it comes in other app so I tried on Whatsapp and Firefox browser on landscape mode but the light didn't show up at all
I'm concerned with the battery this light consumes so I also checked what's running my battery life but I didn't find any unusual app running or hard-consuming my battery
Does anyone have any idea what this light is? or anyone else having this problem? What I want to know is where this light is coming from and is there any way to turn it off? because I really don't like unnecessary app consumes by battery...
I have attached a screenshot about how it looks like, any kind of help would be appreciated.. thanks in advance
SOLVED:
Thanks to chirogan that mentioned this is actually coming from the Game Booster feature

While playing a game, make the navigation bar appear and youll see a game booster icon in the lower left corner. Click on it and youll see monitoring temperature and memory icon. Click on it. Then click on Auto Control and disable it. Youll notice that the blue light will be gone because it doesnt optimize your apps anymore.

It's a possibility.. but this light doesnt just show on any app.. it only appears on games that take landscape and full screen that force hide the navigation bar.. I tried to see if it appears on YouTube app but it didnt.. it also doesnt show on portrait games.. im wondering if this has something with Game Tools or Game Booster or anything that triggers when the user plays games on full screen to let them know 'where' the navigation bar is but not sure yet Beside, if it's from firmware, I expect to already see this light from the latest OTA I got on September, instead I only noticed this light few days ago when I also happened to try some 3rd party AoD apps, which also I uninstalled immediately after play around and checking out how they look

Have you rebooted your phone after uninstalling those apps?
Look for a app called "Game Launcher" it may have some settings ticked to do that.

unfortunately I already disabled Game Launcher since long ago and still never saw the blue light. nonetheless, I just checked the Game Launcher to make sure, but there is no option related to that blue light on navigation bar

Are you using any of those GoodLock apps? If I am not wrong there was something like this in one of those apps.

I am using some of GoodLock apps I got from https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a70/themes/appssamsung-goodlock-2019-pie-apps-t3958121 , but not all of them. only these:
LockStar - for Lockscreen style
NiceShot - for Screen recording
QuickStar - for Status bar and Notification style
ClockFace - for custom clock on lockscreen
I also got One Hand Operation+ but it's from Galaxy Store. I could understand if I have some GoodLock apps for navigation bar, but I didnt install NavStar or any 3rd party app for navigation bar since I dont use the "button" style at all because it's taking more space of my screen

Can you try to disable or uninstall One Hand Operation+ to be sure? I think it causes it.

Its not a bug. Its an application called Game Booster.
What Game booster does is to control and monitor the Temperature and Memory. Once it detects that the application is heating or consuming too much memory, it optimized the phone by closing apps, adjusting brightness and other things that god only knows what. This is to prevent your app from over heating and forcr closing due to memory issues. Once optimization occurs, thats when the blue light over the navigation bar appears. In theory, it does the opposite of what you think. It optimizes the phone in such a way that it prevents abnormal usage in battery and memory to give the best experience in gaming. But sometimes it compromises the app by throtthling the game when it needs a boost in CPU and GPU. It depends on the application on when youd like to activate or disable this feature.
Do you want to disable it?

Edit: out of topic question. Do you experience frame drops in mobile legends? Especially when switching from one app then back to mobile legends?

Thanks for this.. it's just as u said, the blue light is coming from the Temperature Control, once I toggled the auto control on/off the blue light is there.. now that u mentioned it I remember I recently updated Game Booster few days back.. Now I know where the light is coming from.. Thanks again.. :fingers-crossed:
I used to get lot of Frame Drop few weeks ago after this latest update with the "new form of spells", I could barely play anything.. but I didn't do anything tbh and just keep playing until now, and it's way better now. There is still some Frame Drops but it's only when super heavy stuff going on at once in the game, compared to the first time I experienced it, it's so light now even tho I didn't try to do anything to fix it.

Thanks for the confirmation too. I used to have a lot of frame drops but it was due to Game Booster and Game Optimizing Service not working well. After the update, it improved the performance significantly but there was only one bug left. It was when switching from the Game to another app, then going back to the game, it causes the game to start frame Dropping.
Hopefully it makes the update better on the coming days.
