Hello,
i have been and old user but have now registered after long time cause i could not find any answer in rem puzzle rom thread.
My question is I cannot mount sd ext in rem puzzle 3.0, which i had partioned using Recovery method.
I could do it in 2.83 but cannot in 3.0.
i tried link2sd, dark temor a2sd gui, mount2sd, just would not recognise my sd-ext.
also a new problem cropped up, i guess that after i Flashed CronMod-INT2EXT_signed.zip, i cannot go past the htc white screen after flashing rem 3.0 (rem would not boot).
Atleast at first(before Flashing CronMod-INT2EXT_signed.zip) it would take me to rom working properly but now not even that it sits at htc white screen.
also can you guys give me links like turbo boost and others as such which will help me to speed up my willy, cause i am running mini cm7 now cause rem won't install and the problem is (haven't checked with mini cm7 though) after installing apps the rom would slow down.
some details of my willy
Recovery 4.0.1 or 4
radio 3.55 one
using custom mdt with CronMod-INT2EXT_signed.zip in mini cm7.
-Thanks

Anyone experienced that, the system is not able to mount the E: (SD-EXT) after flashed the ROM. Here is what I was doing.
1) I use PartedMagic to setup the following
6.4GFAT32+1.5G EXT4+ 0.4G EXT4+ 0.2 SWAP (appox size.)
2) in the recovery loader, I tested I can mount the SD-EXT without any problems and that I flashed the ROM.
3) After the process done, I started the new MOD and let the system run by itself for the 1st 10mins for him to settle down.
4) I try to reload the data and apps, and seem the system become unstable..so I reboot (my 1st reboot)
5) load the recovery loader, and the SD-EXT is not about to mount again....
Can anyone help please ??
However, I have try to format FAT32+EXT4... Still the EXT4 is not able to mount..
Thx
Redo your partitions with gparted and the card in a card reader. If you don't have a card reader make sure the phone is in recovery while partitioning.

Please ask the rom developer if his kernel supports ext4, this is not available by default !
Make sure to erase the cells before formatting in Ext, and then, run melethron's alignment script. It helps much.

- I doubt RCMixHD stock kernel allows mounting/formatting Ext4 (through Recovery). I've never had success.
- D2W is mainly for space. It lags and delays quite heavily if you have a SD card below Class 6 (or if the partition is near full, many cells dirty or many pages partially full). I think Melethron's Ext alignment script runs automatically with the v3.0 version of that ROM when you install it. I haven't had the free time to check his latest script, just got out from having a 2h operation.

I recently flashed this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957291 Gingerbread version on my HTC Desire GSM, and its working fine.
Just one problem.
It says I do not have sufficient memory remaining to install more apps but my SD Card still has almost 1GB left and my A2SD+ has almost 300MB left.
I used A2SDKiller (flashed right after flashing the ROM) and Data2SDInstaller (flashed after 1st reboot)
Is my method right?
Pls help out, thanks.
download terminal emulator from market and type this:
su
a2sd reinstall
this should work..
it did not work.. after the process ended in terminal emulator, it rebooted.. after entering the OS, most of my apps "aren't installed" but the OS detected my A2SD+..
GOD i had to restore my apps all over again after doing that a2sd reinstall.
my problem was that the OS did not allow me to install apps saying that my memory is full. but i still managed to install some. its like it has a limit set up some where.
and under Manage Applications? my list of applications are there! but they are icon-less and are named after their apks i.e. com.adobe.flashplayer. and after tapping on one of them, i have the option to Uninstall. how can that happen when i cant open the app cos its "Not installed"?
The reason for your issue is most likely that you grabbed the A2SD+ version of the ROM which leaves the dalvik-cache on the internal NAND of your phone. While leaving it on NAND is faster than moving it to the SD card, you run into the issue of it filling up. I suggest, if you feel like reflashing a ROM, flash the D2SD version of the ROM. It's more stable in my experience than D2Whatever and note that the speed loss is minimal. I did not notice the difference when I switched between an A2SD ROM and a D2SD ROM.
I had same problem. Failed to run App2SD+ from terminal.
Just download darktremor and reflash it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=719151
Open terminal and run those commands. That solves me the problem
currently flashing Data2Ext version, then flash darkTremor. hopefully it solves my problem.
Anyway, i was just wondering, does this allow the OS to detect my ext partition as "internal storage" just like how CM7 did? and CM7 allowed all apps to be moved to sd manually, MIUI does not.
i don't like the fact that MIUI detects my ext partition as A2SD+
Hi everyone.
After using pretty much all the main roms, I've decided to revert back to Teppic's pre-rooted stock Froyo rom.
I've installed his ROM and apps2sd + v1.4 with no problems. I presume apps2sd is clearly working (internal memory is 99mb after installing about 20 apps) however, when using Terminal Emulator the following occurs:
Su
A2sd cachesd
A2sd: not found
A2sd
A2sd: not found
I've tried searching everywhere and cannot find an answer. It obviously means a2sd is not installed, but who can explain the internal memory?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
a2sd check
or a2sd reinstall
Same problem...a2sd not found
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I have the same problem but with LeeDroid. Reason is my internal memory is almost 0 with perhaps 20 applications installed. I do have a2sd diskinfo in QSI but I feel it's like it works only half the time with the a2sd functions :/
Partition your sd-card again on this way:
http://leedroid.com/bravo-wiki/partitioning-your-sd-card-ready-for-a2sd
not found
I have the same problem on Gingervillain with a partition sd..
any idea?
I get "permission denied"!
EDIT: My bad! I forgot to enter "su" first. But I'm now getting "not found".
Hi Guys,
i want to know is there any other method for a2sd?
So, i heared that a2sd by Darktremor doesnt work on our devices
and a2sd by AMARULLZ is to unstable for me.
What r u using?
Is there any Solution for the small internal Memor for our Gaming Phone?
greets
I'm using darktremor a2sd and its been working fine for me for the longest time

Well.. as i used it with 8GB partition, my phone said to me after installing of 140~ Apps my internal memory is full
can you tell me, how you installed it? i think it was so:
1. Flash script through CWM
2. Boot it
3. ADB shell
4. a2sd reinstall
4.1. a2sd cachesd (alternative)
follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158993
I have read that Darkremors A2SD will not work with GB Stock Roms (ORM).. because the init.rc has to be modified to run this script.. is it true? Or are u using it with a custom rom?
It works for me. actually it doesn't really move the whole file but unless you move to sdcard again in settings.

Hello XDA members
After noticing my low internal memory i decided to install a script to increase the available space so i can install more apps. After trying the darktremmor script the cronmod A2SD+ and int2ext+ it seemed that int2ext+ was the only script that installed well on my device. on my 16 GB class 4 SD i created a 700 MB ext 2 partition with minitool partition wizzard.
The script installs and works (almost)perfectly. The problem i am facing right now is sudden reboots after i turn my Wildfire off (just the poweroff button on top of it) it seems that when i am busy with apps, and tun off the phone when it is still doing stuff, the chance of a reboot is significantly higher. i now try to wait 3 seconds on my honescreen before turning it off and i have only had 1 reboot in the last 2 days. However i whould like to solve this problem so i can use this script permanently.
also I tryd to make a logcat while whildly starting and using apps, and turning off the device but is seems that while the phone is charching the reboots are not occuring.
