Hi, a friend of mine has a SE Xperia Arc S with CM10 on board and he want to connect a BT keyboard to it, but he failed in doing so.
He had tried some apps from Play Store and followed the official Sony guide, but nothing!
Is anyone having the same kind of trouble? How can I resolve it?
It might be the rom. Is he using the latest release and kernel?

no, not the latest. I think it was fxp202!

Hi
My arc s framework is 4.0.2.A.0.42 and I Have wifi dropping problem,I found that
If I update it to last framework my problem will solve,
But when I try to update phone it says you have last update (on 4.0.2.A.0.42)
I found that there is a newer framework (.58) (biased on this thread)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330314
I want to know is there any way to update my phone without using .ftf files?
I remember that for my old X10 there way a way to chang phones region and update phone to newer framework..how I can do it with my ARc s?
thanks for your help and sorry for my bad English
There is no other way.

Yes you can trick PC Companion to flash a different firmware by editting the build.prop file in /system. There's a thread explaining how to do that, search for it.
But flashtool is even easier, why would you want another method??
A third possibility would be Wotannserver but I don't have experience with them, I just use flashtool.
Hi all,
After searching the forums for a while I've found no solution to my question .. so I hope this thread won't be a duplicate but if it is, please link me to the original one.
My phone: NTT Docomo Xperia Acro (SO-02C) from Japan
Currently rooted using Gingerbread 2.3
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9.perf
[email protected]#1
Build number: 4.0.1.C.1.9
I wanted to apply the official ICS update that was for the Xperia Arc using the manual method by flashing it in CWD but, because the Xperia Arc is the model below mine there's a few functions that's added on so I'm worried about the compatibility with the hardware after I apply it (if I can).
I checked kernel version and build number for the Japanese Arc (screenshot of system info: http://www.chaoticshore.org/blog/image/screenshot.png )
I noticed the kernel and build number is the same but the rest isn't (because this Arc in the picture is Android 2.3.3, but my Acro is 2.3.4) so the baseband version is also different.
If I attempt to apply the update to my Acro, should ICS still be compatible?
What are the chances of it bricking if I try to flash the ICS rom into my phone?
Also, I'm aware I may lose the dedicated built in functions like infrared transmission & oneSeg.
Thanks!
I feel like I should reply, even though I don't really know the answer. But from what I have heard, arc firmware will not work on the arco. If I was you, I would not try it. Hasn't docomo pushed an ICS update yet?
If not, the best advice, never buy a Japan only phone if you want to mod it!

guys, someone help me please! SE Arc S ICS 4.0.4 - Kernel Stock - baseband 77
I remember when I bought my ARC S, the version was Lt18A (mobile purchased in the Store Magazine Luiza, certified by Anatel, Brazil), working on 3G 850mhz/2100mhz! after updating the rom he went on to appear Lt18I, and for all I know, only works on 3G 900mhz/2100mhz. I think that's the problem, my phone stopped recognizing the 3G on 850MHz, which is available by Vivo in my area!
any way to change this? baseband, kernel, rom??

baseband, most likely.
or to be sure, flash the entire ROM that dedicated fot LT18A, because LT18i is the international version

problem in hardware!! solved in assistance
hi all,
after updating my Xperia S to 6.1.A.2.55, I have a problem when I'm trying to call ! my screen freeze when I'm dialing, same issue for my friend with another Xperia S (both are new, and free bought directly in Sony store), when I comeback to the version 6.1.A.2.50 or 6.1.A.2.45 the problem disappears!! but after 1 or 2 days, I got the notification of update in my Xperia, and the problem comeback even if I don't update it!
so I've two questions:
if someone get the same problem, what's the solution?
if not, how can I block the update in my smartphone, knowing that I'm connected 24H on Wi-Fi.
great thanks in advance.
I don't have this problem on .55, anyway just root your phone and delete updatecentre.apk and NewSoftwareChecker.apk if you don't want the notifications. Just try flashing this ftf - http://ni.0a0.in/files/3432_kznsa/LT26i_6.1.A.2.55_SG Generic (1257-6921).zip
I have tested it and it 100% works fine. If your problem is not yet solved, just update it with PC Companion/SEUS and exchange it for a new piece with Sony.
great thanks abcdjdj; I was wondering to get a solution without rooting my device, but if it's the only option, I'll do it.
soo.

Have you tried installing a stock firmware(using flashtool) for your device?
But you got wifi connection or not?

Thank you all for your advice. Yesterday i found that it is not a problem. In Gingerbread whenever the wifi is on, the icon was there in the statusbar either connected or not. But in ICS wifi must be connected to a network or it won't show the icon. Anyway thanks for your support.
