He's right, you can't flash 4.2 gapps for a 4.1.2 ROM.

I figured that much. So I removed the 4.2 gapps and reflashed the 4.1 gapps. It still didn't work. I don't know if I installed the wrong 4.1 gapps or what? This is the gapps that I reinstalled gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

You kinda have to reflash the whole ROM. Try doing a clean flash and flash the right ROM.

I have install AOKP milestone-5 ROM on my GN !
after finish flash the AOKP rom and GApp, and setting up my Google account on first boot.
the GN haven't restore my phone setting from my google account ! I am sure I had backup data on my google account, becasue I have try it with Google ROM before.
and I find out the backup & reset on settting page, the backup account doesn't coming up on screen ! how can I fix it please
It's likely the GAPPS that isn't wanting to restore it. There should be an updated version that fixes this or use the older version.
same here

I thought 4.2 had integrated gapps? Flashed pa's latest 2.99 which is 4.2 and it boots but no gapps. Found some 4.2 gapps and flashed them via twrp and i get market but cam/gallery crash. Am i just stupid wtf?

It looks like 2.99 is buggy, so it got pulled.
There appears to be a version of the 4.2 apps that will work with PA 2.54, though, if you were only looking for the new apps.

Hello,
I am using Cynogenmod 10 and I recently downloaded the newest Gapps to update my existing ones. My question is:
Can I just flash the newest Gapps? If not, what would the process be?
Thank you very much!

I believe you just have to delete cache and wipe dalvik and install the new gapps.
Make sure Gapps is for JB 4.1.2 and not 4.2.1. CM10 is still on 4.1.2. unless you are running the unofficial 10.1 rom.
Edit** 10.1 Nightlies are now rolling out. So flash 4.2 Gapps if you are planning on running it
Hi all,
I have trouble when installing Gapps on 4.3 version.
I installed every possible 4.3 version and it goes fine but when i installed Gapps (the latest one i have found), the system crached.
Is there any one who had installed the 4.3 version with Gapps with no system problem?
thanks a lot.
What Rom?

What rom and version are you using? I had issues with 10.2 when it first came out and then PA. 3.93 at that version.
gapps 4.3
What version gapps are u using? You should be using 20130813 version with most ROMs.

Not true. You should use 20130813 with only 4.3 ROMs.

Yes, you are correct. You should be using 20130813 gapps with most 4.3 ROMs, which of course is what raafett was inquiring about.
Can anyone please ADVICE me on what I'm not doing right?
Please, my problem is I just installed the new Maclaw CM11 on top of your CM10.2 for Ace II.
I followed the usual instructions, but after reboot I get a black screen. No launcher. I can only access settings from the drop-down tile panel.
What am I not doing right? Please advice. Thanks.
Thanks a million for your help in advance!

I have even flashed back to stock via ODIN and reflashed via CWM to CM11 but systemui is still broken.
Any suggestions on what could be wrong?
I finally fixed it. I had to download the full stock Gapps from the Gapps thread and when I flashed that together with a reflash of the CM11, it worked!

i have the same problem what gapps do you use Ps: i have samsung galaxy s plus but with the same problem
I use the Full Google Stock Gapps from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
That is the 11/26 one. Not the full modular Gapps but the Full Google Stock Gapps that includes the PhotoSphere and the Google Experience launcher.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need further clarifications or assistance. All the best.
