Hi,
Any cyanogen MOD that has no DATA BUG issue? I would really like to flash a CYANOGEN rom on my phone, but DATA is very important for me.
Any ROM that you can suggest?
Thank you!

Every time I receive a call while my phone is running MIUI version 1.12.30 the phone app force closes and I can't receive the call. Is this a common problem?
I was a big fan of MIUI on my Droid 1 but I can't seem to get it working on my Inc2. I tried reinstalling the the ROM a few times but the problem persists regardless of what I do. I always run all three check boxes on the Rom Manager app every time I flash: Backup Current ROM, Wipe Data, and Wipe Dalvik Cache.
I'd flash the current ICS MIUI build but not having a phone where everything works just bugs me.
If this is a problem with the ROM and not user error, could someone please suggest another ROM that I could try out? I'm not a big Sense fan and Cyanogen is pretty nice, but I like MIUI better.
Any help on this problem is greatly appreciated.

Im currently using the official CM 7.1 stable ROM, i would flash a new updated ROM and don't know to choose between the two in subject, which is best? pro and cons?
Another question, with this ROM i had GPS problems so i fixed it by flashing latest radio Vision_Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19 and performing an EFS data wipe with the script, now it's ok and i have signal very fast; if i flash the new ROM i should fix the GPS again doing the same job of flashing radio and doing EFS data wipe?
Thanks
Simone

I'm using CM7.2 RC1 now and it's fantastic, it's ridiculously fast . ILWT will obviously give you more customisation but with the inclusion of the aroma installer as well as the usual tweaking via text file, it seems a bit too confusing at a glance.
As for your install, you should probably do a full wipe since there have been a bunch of changes between 7.1 and 7.2. This means that you should do an EFS data wipe before installing your new ROM. I always do an EFS data wipe and i never have any GPS problems.
really thanks for the precious feedback
Ok so i will put the CM7.2 RC-1 rom waiting a stable ICS rom...

I think we're all waiting for a stable ICS ROM but realistically it might be a few months before that's possible.
@magic_android Aroma was added solely to simplify the process. I don't see why it would be confusing.
ICS IS stable, especially with the new official Qualcomm GPU drivers. However, it still isn't fully functional, when compared to GB It's going to take some time and some HTC RUU's till we can make the most out of ICS.
But, to answer the question...CM7.2 is cool and a perfectly good choice if you won't make use out of what ILWT offers. That being it's quick deployment through the use of the AromaUI/ILWT.txt, or overclocking, etc.
As crestofawave said with the aroma installer added the install process is very simple now for ILWT. Its a straightforward simple user interface where you just answer what you want don't want going through the manual set up the first time. Your choices are then stored as the text file and next time you just choose auto install, no more manually editing the text file. This should make it easier everyone to try out this great ROM, CM7 with all the good tweaks already built in

Hello all,
I have some problems with my Defy+
I had a CM9 ROM, and I had some problems, then I installed the CM7 ROM and everything worked fine, then I found that my Internet is very very slow (almost not working) and I cant send an SMS.
I performed a full wipe, and installed a stock SPF file and then I reinstall the CM9 ROM, and again everything works great except the SMS, and the internet.
first I thought that maybe this is the SIM, but when I replaced this SIM with other, I received the same issues.
base band version: epu93_u_00_60_00
Kernel :
2.6.32.9
PLEASE HELP ME !!!
help ?
Sorry for the Bouncing but no one familiar with this issue, maybe a new Radio will help ?
I have had SMS issues on switching roms too, for me it helps that I remove the SIM card and perform a FULL wipe (/system too)
and flash rom.
Then I make the first boot without SIM and when I get to setup wizard, I shut down my defy an put the SIM card back in.

Guys I just received my phone after the known problem with the SDS syndrome. My mobo was swapped..
Anyway I am a little rusty since I haven't been into ROMs/kernels lately so I have some questions as to the correct order and/or what I need to do.
I have seen that 4.3 is available through Cyanogen MOD so I am thinking about updating into this.
So I have some questions.
1. First and most importantly is Cyanogen 4.3 a stable release w/o issues? Do you have anything else to recommend (go for 4.2.2 for example)? I know this is personal preference but I'd like a rock stable ROM w/o issues, tested and fast if possible! And what about a reliable kernel? Should I keep stock or use another that you could recommend?
2. I had the swap internal/external memory mod with my previous builds. Is it compatible with Cyanogen or maybe is there any better way that I am unaware of to install apps on SD w/o the mod?
3. Do I need to have something else in mind ?
Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

1.Yes 4.3 is little mature now but not ripe as 4.2.2 are..and yes 4.3 is stable now as far as I know.
I'll personally go for 4.2.2 since these are stable builds now and most of the custom aosp roms are based on 4.2.2..but PAC and Probam(4.3 based) are quite famous now and bugfree too!!
For kernel I prefer perseus or neak in 4.1.2. For 4.3, probam has its own cm modified kernel
2.No idea regarding this coz I didn't used this mod
3.Yes..If u r planning to flash roms then always use sds patched kernel+recovery..

Thanks for the answer. Anyone knows if any kernel/rom from the PAC/Probam has issues with swap/internal external memory?
Hi, I am currently on CM12.1 and I find it laggy on my Note 2. I wanted to make a poll (but I couldn't since I can't enumerate all the roms that are in here) and ask what rom are you using or what rom do you prefer and why? I am leaning toward DN4 but i've been reading that DN3 is more stable.
Thank you guys!
Honestly, I have not seen any lag issues on CM 12.1. What nightly/build are you running? I doubt the lag is coming from the ROM itself.

Well, first make a complete backup using TWRP. Then, do a factory reset (wipe data, system, dalvik, cache), then flash the latest nightly from here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=t0lte, and flash the latest gapps from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tk-gapps-t3116347. (I personally use tk gapps).
Note that this process will wipe your internal storage, so make sure you've backed up anything you want to keep.
Im using Cm12 and it works fine for me didnt have any bugs or lagging so far
